I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

Go somewhere reliable or well known!…read more I WANTED to get my brake pads changed, didn't necessarily NEED it. Took it here and when I got my car back my brakes were 10x squeakier than before. I notified the owner via msg on yelp. (See attached) Me and him went back & forth bc after expressing my concerns he wanted to say I needed new rotors or rotors machined typical. He didn't want to give me my money back so instead he told me to bring it back and he will machine rotors for free. I took it back the second time, he took less time than he did the first time. After he said he was done, he claimed that I needed my back brakes and rotors done as well Long story short, my breaks are still squeaking & I ended up paying the same, as if I went to a well known shop (considering the price it cost me to travel back & forth with Ubers and gas). I was a first time customer & by all means this was a 1 star experience. Will not recommend or take my chances of coming back.

And they were working on my car non stop! They didn't have the right tools, all harbor freight. They were putting their harbor freight tools on my black rims. Just super terrible backyard mechanics. Charged me $50 to change a belt and waste 1.5 hours of my life. I wouldn't go back for an oil change or to put air in my tire lol. 1.5 hours to change a belt is crazy. Not having the right tools to do a simple belt change is crazier. Never again.

It wasn't busy inside, and the gentleman behind the counter helped me right away. They charged me around $60 ($65?) For the test, which I felt was pretty reasonable. The test itself maybe took 10-15 minutes, and I was all set and ready to go. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I couldn't think of one good reason to give this place less than five stars. I wish they were located a little closer to me, but that's an MP (my problem), lol.
