They have a great team working to bring…read moreour ideas to edible life and we have routinely gone back month after month, to celebrate our employee's birthdays as well as our own family celebrations. The idea of a tray of cupcakes, iced like a cake made serving a breeze, and the serving size ideal for even the little hands of the family. Who doesn't like pulling the cupcake wrapper off an iced cupcake? Thank you for making our events special, keep up the great work. As for the other post from Coua E., I have not experienced this issue and frankly believe that if this customer would have spoken up and addressed this issue, they would have given her team an opportunity to fix, adjust or recreate her cake. They strive for customer happiness and their new location speaks to this!!! Sitting outside on a 60+ degree day in March???? What better way to celebrate it with a cupcake, awesome day, cupcake and place to enjoy it.

In the order I told them what day I would need it on, which happened to be a Sunday. The day before her birthday party I emailed them first thing in the morning as I had not heard from them and was wondering when to pick up the cupcakes (something they probably should have told me). They emailed me back hours later, 15 minutes before they closed telling me they closed at noon and we're trying to find my contact info (I filled out an order form online and had talked to them through email-clearly they are not organized). I emailed them back and NEVER heard from them again. She should have offered to stay at the shop and wait for me or meet me the next morning to get my order-the day of the party-better yet she should have told me upfront when to pick up the cupcakes as I told them the day I needed it. To not even respond to me is extremely unprofessional and terrible customer service. I will never try them again nor will I recommend them ever.

I don't even like coffee. Truly. I've tried Dunkin', Starbucks, and plenty of small coffee shops,…read moreand it's always been a hard no for me... until The Barn Cafe. Somehow, they worked actual magic with their iced maple latte (with whipped cream), because I cannot stop ordering it. I don't understand it -- I just accept it. The food and desserts are on another level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell real care goes into the ingredients. The whipped cream alone deserves its own shoutout -- it holds its texture, tastes amazing, and is clearly not the cheap store-bought stuff. Their dessert cups are dangerously good: the chocolate mousse, strawberry trifle, and the raspberry/strawberry cheesecake cup are all to die for. Now let's talk savory food -- because wow. The jalapeño popper bacon melt is unreal. Perfectly cooked bacon, flavorful jalapeños with just the right kick, and everything comes together in the best way. I've also had their mushroom Swiss melt, and I don't even like Swiss cheese... yet here I am thinking about it days later. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting -- usually quiet and relaxing, though it can get a little busy during rush hours (for good reason). Whether you want to sit and enjoy the space or grab something to go, it's always a great experience. On top of all that, the staff are incredibly kind, sweet, and genuinely welcoming. They're always helpful, patient, and very understanding, which makes the experience even better every single time. Bottom line: I go here all the time, I'm consistently blown away, and I will absolutely keep coming back. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out.

Located in Manchester VT a very homey little candy shop…read more You walk into this place in Manchester and just kinda think...why does this store fit perfectly for where I am at at this moment? It's truly a pleasant little store. The lady seemed a little weirded out when my brother and I first walked in. We were in Manchester for the night, on our way back to NY from a week in Maine. She looked at us like....hmm I dunno, don't wanna say anything mean bc she wasn't mean lol, she just looked at us ... weirdly lol. Not sure how else to put it. As our visit went on she ended up being very nice. I just hope she didn't think we were in there to like...steal a couple pieces of candy hahaha. I mean, we aren't 10 years old anymore lol. She then went on to tell us about the store and how all the candy is made there (pretty sure that's what she said). I just remember thinking....how wonderful that this stuff isn't imported from places like...ugh China! They have everything! Every possible kind of candy you can imagine...she has it. She gave us a free sample and it was amazing! There are few great candy shoppes in Manchester. This one is definitely one of them. Prices are a little...high. Just a heads up if you go here. Couple things to consider as to why tho... 1) it's Manchester VT. It's a very bougie little town. Only makes sense most things are pricey there 2) privately owned 3) candy is made on site 4) it's Manchester Vermont lol Should this stop you from going? Absolutely not. Even if you're just in to look...it's worth it. Really a cute store. I hope to return to it one day. Living in Idaho, I rarely make it to Vermont lol. BUT IF I DO! I will for sure head back into Mother Myricks! Thanks for reading, YelperMyrickers! Cheers!

I also bought a peach-raspberry muffin and a blueberry muffin. The muffins looked great but were without ANY flavor. Downright awful, not sure what that was about, but the chocolates were very good. I don't think they were quite as good as Lake Champlain chocolates, but they were a close second. I always appreciate the freshness factor (in addition to flavor), so it mattered that the orange peel and apricots were very fresh. If we are ever in the area, I'd come back here for sure, but I'd stick with the chocolates only. No more baked goods !

The lattes were pretty standard and the pastries were a bit disappointing. The flavor profile of the focaccia was odd - corn, tomato, and spicy mayo. I've tried several holiday menus around the region, and KAB is a clear standout. I ordered a baguette and vegetable quiche to round out my own meal, plus an apple pie and bûche de Noël for dessert. Pick-up was seamless. The café was bustling with happy customers carrying pastries and coffee, but the preorder station was just inside the door to the right. I gave my name, they confirmed the contents, and I was quickly on my way. The whole place has such a warm, upbeat vibe--bustling but never chaotic. The staff are fantastic: friendly, organized, and genuinely happy to help. Even on a busy holiday pick-up day, everything felt calm and well-run. The quiche came with clear heating instructions (which I really appreciate, as not everywhere provides them). It was fully cooked and only needed 20 minutes in the oven. The filling was light yet rich, and the delicate filo crust was such a lovely surprise. Not a single slice was left over! The apple pie was perfectly baked with a tall, flaky crust and well-balanced apple filling--lightly sweet, gently spiced, and sliced just right so each piece held together beautifully. This was also my first bûche de Noël, and now the bar is impossibly high. The dark chocolate sponge was tender and filled with real whipped cream and the perfect hint of brandied cherries--beautifully balanced rather than overpowering. The chocolate mousse frosting and thin ganache glaze were flawless, and the decoration (meringue mushrooms and sugared cranberries) made it truly special. I sincerely hope KAB continues their holiday menu every year, because I fully plan to cook less and order more from them. Everything was exceptional.

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to receive a Next Day Air delivery box of sinfully delicious goodies from a client. The assortment was large and the task was daunting, so after work I invited my sugar-holic staff in my office for a closed-door chocolate sampling session. Soon all 6 women had strong opinions. - We first tried the Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie, which has a great chocolate taste. The consistency is good- not too hard and not too soft. The cookie is large and heavy and big enough to share. It's a great treat for any choco-holic. - Next, was the Almond Butter Cookie, which after the chocolate cookie, tasted a little too plain but very good. It has a crisp and flaky-like consistency and we quickly discovered that cookie eaters fall into two categories- those that like crunchy, crisp cookies and those that like soft, moist ones. The almonds added great texture. - The Double Cream Cheese Brownie is more of a cake than a brownie. It wasn't a bad size- neither too thick nor too large. The brownie connoisseurs among us felt that it was moist and delicious. - The classic Chocolate Chip Cookie was next. It is very chunky and filled with chocolate. Some likened it to Soft Chips Ahoy. Our bellies were getting filled; Our comments were getting fewer, as we were zoning out on sugar highs. - Raspberry Crumb bars, sit on a shortbread crust and are topped with an oat and pecan-studded crumb topping. Delicious and addicting. - Belgium Chocolate Ganache Brownies were not a big hit with my staff, but perhaps their taste buds were getting dulled. Most felt it was too sweet and the texture was messy. - There certainly were enough cookie types to choose from. Milk Chocolate Butterscotch is a large cookie. My tasters preferred the smaller cookies, where you can choose your portions. This cookie has a rich butterscotch taste. - The Peanut Butter Chip Brownie was delicious. The consistency is nice and chewy, with a subtle peanut butter and chocolate flavor. - Last, but not least, was the Belgium Chocolate Chunk Brownie, which are delicious brownies made with butter, cocoa powder, and walnuts. The warm brownies are topped with a nice chocolate walnut icing. It is very sweet and by this time we all had a sugar rush. I was amazed 6 petite women could devour all that chocolate goodness. They said Chocolate makes them feel loved and special and tastes great as it melts in their mouths. Nuff said. Overall, a very nice gift to receive and/or give.
