I understand that the footprint of the store is kind of small, but these are two very basic departments that should have way more in them. Prices are not cheap here, and I have to wonder about this, because Windsor isn't the wealthiest town in Vermont by any means. I will say that the meat and dairy items are always fresh, and there is a respectable selection of non-food items and wine.

They offer daily lunch specials, many of which feature their fantastic smoked meats. Their smoked sausages and bacon are delicious too. As you would expect of a general store, they offer a little bit of everything. Clothing, food, liquor, etc. Their efforts to support other local small businesses shows their dedication to the community. The staff are really friendly as well. I loved everything about Singleton's....came back three days in a row just to order their lunch special and pick up some odds and ends. Even ran my dogs around in their snowy picnic area outside. Despite FOUR women working there, it took so long to make these sandwiches that my family tried getting me to leave and forget about the sandwiches. It was almost 2:00 and I was starving so I waited it out. When we got back and ate our sandwiches, they weren't even that good. Definitely not worth the price. To add insult to injury, there was no cheese on the melt. Avoid this place at all costs.
