We love having a Market Basket in Warner, NH! It's close enough to the Upper Valley, that it is a logical alternative for grocery shopping. The Warner, NH Market Basket is modern and clean, the staff are friendly. The Warner, NH Market Basket has almost everything that you'd need, or want, of a supermarket. Market Basket's prices are "Best in New Hampshire." The produce at the Warner, NH Market Basket is OK. We are fortunate to be able to shop at the Co Op in Lebanon, NH, and the Woodstock Farmer's Market, in Woodstock, VT for produce. Both, have exceptional produce. I can't speak to the butcher shop at the Market Basket in Warner, NH, as we are vegetarians. All in all, I believe that the Warner, NH Market Basket deserves every one of four Yelp stars. Probably my favorite grocery store to shop at a great combination of size, good layout, newer construction and no stupid rules that really dont make sense. Shopping during the Covid-19 crisis has really separated the good grocery stores from the stronger ones. I would drive away from other supermarkets that had people wait in line to get in, and this location even though it is a Market Basket hasn't asked people to do that. Although they do have this stupid one way tape marking that everyone ignores. They seem to be the most prepared and best stocked grocery store within an hour of this location. I go by about 12 stores on my way home but will go a little out of my way to go to this one. read more

One of the nicest supermarkets between Concord and Hanover NH. Clean, well-lit, with wide open shelves, a kick-butt produce section and a huge meat and seafood area. Went there to find an alternative to my local walking-distance grocer in New London and was pleasantly surprised. A superb location right off the Interstate for the Winter-adverse. A huge fresh vegetable selection. Frozen foods galore. And both vegetarian and vegan groceries. Open until late for the working crowd. read more

Really a great store as are all the Market basket locations. They are very competitively priced and well stocked. No they are not a fancy grocery store like the ones in the larger cities and my not have the brie cheese you are looking for so suck it up butter cup! I went just yesterday a few days before Xmas. Very disappointed. The produce was horrible...tomatoes going bad, oranges looked horrible. There wasn't much meat out and it wasn't that busy. I bought some steak, went to cook it and some of the underneath of the meat was brown. I think a more variety of maybe family packs of meat would be good with the price of meat, you can divide and freeze. Prices seem higher than some other market baskets too. so I will only go there only for convenience. I will go elsewhere for a big shopping week read more

While checking out today my cashier sneezed. Rather then sneezing in her mask she pulled it down and turned her head. I asked her, what's the purpose of the mask? She informed me that she refused to sneeze in her mask. I didn't make a screen regarding this but I will think again about visiting this chain of grocery store if they can't educate the employees. read more

Basically a Safeway (or Vons for those west coasters out there) with an average selection. Good if you need the basics, not so good if you're looking for boutique, homemade or organic items. Fair warning - it's absolutely packed on the weekend. read more

Super convenient location right off of 89. There's also a gas station and a McDonald's in the same complex. There is a bathroom here in the back and I was surprised to find it reasonably clean. Great prices on the usual Market Basket stuff. I picked up a bunch of non-perishable, non-grocery things here too like lotions and combs because- NH- no tax! read more

The manager was very rude to one of the employees. He was scolding this employee who was at the register. This young employee looked very hurt and embarrassed, especially with the long line of people she had to serve. As Market Basket is known for hiring teens, I do not appreciate a higher up disrespecting them. Teens have enough problems and struggles as it is, they shouldn't be stressed out because of their boss. Other than that, my daughter found another employee very cute. read more

I have been waiting a long time for this store to open. We need a BETTER grocery store on the South Shore, and now we have it! Went for the grand opening today, and I say without hesitation or false praise that it was the best opening of any time I've except experience and the best supermarket I've ever been in. Employees were EVERYWHERE and extremely helpful. As I entered the front door and approached the rotisserie chickens for less than $5 each, I heard some man ask his wife, "are these sale prices or regular prices." They were regular prices. The store was clean, well stocked, all 20+ registers were open, and everyone - employees and customers - were all smiles. The donuts are inexpensive and to die for (people were buying them faster than they were being stocked. Sushi was great, as was the store made pizza. Meat selections were superior and seafood looked great as well. Cannot say enough except thank you to everyone who made this happen, and happen with such style and attention to detail. And thank you to the employees - and all grocery employees who got us through our trying times without proper recognition and praise! read more

I can't believe how lame this place is. I'd give anything to have Hannafords or Shaws here instead - or almost any full size market. MB is always out of the items I want. Today no regular yeast , unless I want the two pound jar. Sure there's the bread machine yeast, but I need the regular. More on baking items. No cake flour? No regular yeast? They are out of items so much that I frequently buy extra of something so I'll have it when I need it since I can't depend on Market Basket. The deli / fish counter stinks and I cringe walking within 50 feet of it. If my refrigerator smelled like that I'd throw it out. I end up annoyed and disappointed every time I shop here. We're luck to have a market at all, but the management here needs to wake up. The employees are good people and I like them individually, but the home office seems unaware of what people need. They are aware good pricing is important, but when the items are out of stock, or the quality isn't there, I don't care about their wonderful prices. The meat dept. is just barely adequate for minimal cooking as long as one doesn't want really good meat. No specialties available whatever. The produce is worse. The veggies are beat up and poorly stored so they go bad very fast. Too many veggies look like they were used for kickball before going into the case. Limited selection of veggies. I especially love it when I see employees slamming food into the bins. They're kids and no one has trained them to be gentle with veggies. In the front window area the carts are packed together obstructing access to the windows. Nothing wrong wit that per se, but every once in a while I see employees climbing up and standing on the handles of the carts by the front windows to access banners in windows. Do I really want to have floor and street grime on the handles I touch? It creeps me out that they have the baby seating on the carts, but do I need to have them walk around their bathroom then plant their grimy feet all over the cart handles? It just goes on and on like that. Too many issues to list here. Cheap rattling carts. Specials bins with their regular pricing on them. Illegible pricing on the highest shelf so only a tall person can read the unit price. Baggers who will try to put six or seven big soda bottles in one flimsy plastic bag which immediately rips and dumps my groceries all over the pavement outside the store. Weird placement of items. Like the frozen pizza dough in the frozen fish case. Like someone would want pizza smelling like fish. read more

Market Basket in Warner is the perfect store in the perfect place. It is clear, well lit, sufficient choices and, best of all, not going to break your wallet. In fact, I notice they have many item less expensive than Wally Mart. The employees are very helpful and are obviously very proud of their store. It is well kept and well managed. I live in nearby Bradford, so I spend a good deal of time at Market Basket. The selection is perfect for me... several options on nearly all items, but not so many I spend 20 minutes choosing peanut butter, for example. Produce: Just OK in the winter and early spring, but very good during summer & fall. Meats: Decent quality and fresh. I've never seen bad meat left in the cooler. A ring of the bell and the butcher is happy to help you with selection or specific cuts. Seafood: OK. Just OK. No like you might find on the seacoast. Selection is marginal. Deli: Selection is decent and prices are much lower than anyone, including Wallymart. Good stuff. I almost always get sliced meats at the deli rather than the pre-packaged stuff. Prepared foods & cheese: Good selection overall. Yah, there are some 'ole timers miffed at the loss of Crecenti's and foo-foo shopers who prefer Shaws (try Hillsboro), but for me, Market Basket in Warner is a winner and no place else I'd rather shop. read more

The Market Basket in Warner was a WONDERFUL find! I teach at Colby-Sawyer in New London and live in Hopkinton....so this is a perfect place to shop :) I am impressed by how clean and well lit it is with nice wide aisles. The layout of the store is intuitive once you know the basics and I am very happy with the variety of items. I always find what I need at competitive prices. For me, the convenience can't be beat. Recently I had the Deli Department make 2 fruit and cheese platters for me to give as "Thank You" gifts and they were fantastic and more than reasonably priced. The employees are all very nice. Oh how I miss Market Basket! I moved to Vermont and there's not one in sight. The prices were always decent and we never had any problems with them running out of things. If you had questions, it was easy to ask a staff member. I particularly enjoyed the Halloween coloring contest. If they didn't have something stocked, you could always go to the courtesy booth and ask if they'd think about carrying it. They also offer wipes next to the carts so you could wipe off the handles. The restrooms are located in back in the "Employees Only" section, but no one's ever said anything about customers going back to use them. Overall though, the store is definitely great. read more

Been using this Market Basket for 10 years. It is terrific! Not as large as some other stores, but the prices are great compared to Shaws or Hannafords. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful above and beyond. Store is always neat and clean. Bathroom is okay. Can't say enough about the attitude of the people working there. And, when there was a power failure, Market Basket GAVE away all the perishable food to local food pantries where many stores just threw it away or put it other stores. read more

I did bring an umbrella but as I opened my trunk a very nice gentleman who works for MB told me to get my car and stay dry.. and he put my groceries in trunk for me.... I like this store. I live about equal distance between this store and the Hannafords in New London, I prefer this place hands down. The store is always clean, the help is pleasant, and they have everything that I need at pretty good prices. I'd give the managers an A. Earlier this year, the corporation was having a power struggle, the employees were getting a petition to retain the current CEO.... now that's pretty good loyalty in this day. It does get busy on the weekend, but that is common for NH. About the only downside is the entrance/exit gets a little crowded with a gas station and a McDonalds using the same driveway, but that's not MB's fault. All in all a great place to shop. read more
