I gave my name, they confirmed the contents, and I was quickly on my way. The whole place has such a warm, upbeat vibe--bustling but never chaotic. The staff are fantastic: friendly, organized, and genuinely happy to help. Even on a busy holiday pick-up day, everything felt calm and well-run. The quiche came with clear heating instructions (which I really appreciate, as not everywhere provides them). It was fully cooked and only needed 20 minutes in the oven. The filling was light yet rich, and the delicate filo crust was such a lovely surprise. Not a single slice was left over! The apple pie was perfectly baked with a tall, flaky crust and well-balanced apple filling--lightly sweet, gently spiced, and sliced just right so each piece held together beautifully. This was also my first bûche de Noël, and now the bar is impossibly high. The dark chocolate sponge was tender and filled with real whipped cream and the perfect hint of brandied cherries--beautifully balanced rather than overpowering. The chocolate mousse frosting and thin ganache glaze were flawless, and the decoration (meringue mushrooms and sugared cranberries) made it truly special. It's truly a pleasant little store. The lady seemed a little weirded out when my brother and I first walked in. We were in Manchester for the night, on our way back to NY from a week in Maine. I also bought a peach-raspberry muffin and a blueberry muffin. The muffins looked great but were without ANY flavor. Downright awful, not sure what that was about, but the chocolates were very good. I don't think they were quite as good as Lake Champlain chocolates, but they were a close second. I always appreciate the freshness factor (in addition to flavor), so it mattered that the orange peel and apricots were very fresh. If we are ever in the area, I'd come back here for sure, but I'd stick with the chocolates only. No more baked goods !

I think their main stars are the doughnuts and dessert pastries they are always fresh, flavorful, light, and delicious. I would reccomend the lemon crème doughnut, I crave it at least once a week. They are are experts at making cakes with cool designs and make a very cool cake for a ramen obsessed recent masters graduate. Their cake is dense and moist with their fruit filling being sweet and fresh. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a cake with a unique design. They are also reasonably priced for the work they do.
