A great place to take the whole family. Wellwood Orchards is a family run business for over 50 years. I went there as a kid and again yesterday. Has not changed much. They have strawberries & blueberries in the early summer and then apples in the fall. They have pick your own or buy them in their on site store. Many varietys of apples: macs, cortland, etc. The store is great. They have pumpkins, homemade pies, local cheese, fresh & hot homemade donuts (weekends only), unpasteurized cider, candy, fudge, cornstalks, squash and decorative corn & gourds. Outside they have a petting zoo for the kids (chickens, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, and peacocks. ) They also have maple syrup, cider syrup, recipe books, and more. Fall is such a wonderful time of year in Vermont.

Petting area, hot cider donuts, and of course...apples! Fun place to bring your own lunch and have a picnic.

Great apple selection in mid-September! The prices are fair and variety is vast. The view from the orchard is lovely; quintessential Fall in New England. There are a ton of Fall goodies to get here in addition to apples - cider donuts, pumpkins, pies, etc. The petting zoo was awesome too - all kinds of animals (goats, sheep, cows, bunnies, chickens, etc) and so cool to be able to get up close and personal with them all. A fun place for all ages!

Nice family owned business. They have a good variety of local syrups and jellies and honey. Unfortunately we made the drive for cider donuts and when we got there around 2 pm, they had run out. The staff person said they only have them until Noon and only on weekends. Drats!

Was visiting from out of town. Great view while berry picking and the donuts were hot and amazing!!

This has to be one of the best, if not the best farmers market I've ever been to…read more I felt as if I were on the scene of Robin Hood walking into Sherwood Forest. Soft guitar music playing while all the beautiful foliage surrounds all the various kiosks. Like something out of Pinterest. I feel like the photos don't do the actual experience justice. Overall, I thought the stalls were decently priced and we bought a lot of items ranging from fresh beets, garlic, mixed greens, to fresh cheese, and mushrooms. Apart from food and produce they sell yarn that comes from the wool of local sheep. I saw a distillery stall where they were handing out samples - it had quite the line. A stall that sold dry teas and infused syrups (I bought one actually) Maple syrup, soaps, I could go on. There's a booth for those who use Hip and apparently from $10 you get $30 to spend so it's a place where even those on a low budget can come and take advantage. Then there's the food which, you should definitely try. It was our first time trying food from Afghanistan and it was incredible. They were like these dumplings filled with either meat or squash, we chose the squash, and then it had lentils on top and a rich yogurt sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, honestly, it was a great experience, and the place itself is so beautiful, it's no wonder that there's lines of cars parked and others waiting to find parking. That's the only drawback, finding parking is gonna be rough, but when you do, ohhh the goodies that await you! I honestly wish I lived here, I'd be at this farmers market every Saturday.

We love a good winter farmers market! Lots of parking outdoors, warm indoors. Mix of veggies, meat…read moreand bread shops. They also have a couple vendors serving hot food. We loved the bread at Orchard Hill Breadworks. Most vendors accept Venmo or card. But the organizers have a clip board / token system that allows you to pay by card. Very affordable! High quality produce!

I'm a local photographer who has used Patch Orchards multiple times without issue, until this week,…read morewhen I had a shocking experience with them. As usual, I arrived with my clients, politely said hello and stated I was there to take photos by the Christmas trees. Christine (whom I had never met) said nothing about rules or purchase requirements and explicitly told me I could take photos. Afterward, my clients warmed up with their baby in the car and planned to cut a tree, but Christine assumed we weren't buying anything and escalated the situation for no reason. I left with my clients down the hill to take a few last shots and as I was getting into my car, Christine brought her husband Mike down in his truck to "scare me off". They flew past me, tried to block me from leaving the road, yelled at me to "never be seen on the property again," and accused me of "taking photos without buying anything" as if that were a crime. It was aggressive, threatening and completely unprofessional. This is a farm open to the public - visitors are NOT required to make a purchase just for stepping onto the property. If they have rules for photos, they can communicate them like adults instead of resorting to intimidation and theatrics. I won't be returning (for my own safety), and others should think twice before giving them business. If you do visit, apparently you'd better buy something immediately, since that seems to be their unspoken rule.

I love coming here for the delicious apples and other produce, apple cider donuts, maple products…read more(maple creamees, syrup, butter, candy, to name a few). The apple cider donuts are tasty when you get them hot and fresh. Their apple cider, both fresh and hard, is tasty too. The family that owns the orchard is kind and personable. If you like corn mazes, theirs is worth checking out. The views are also top notch.
