There was. Family bluegrass band playing on the bandstand. Plenty of nice locals greater us and were extremely friendly. I was going to take them to court, but that would involve my insurance and I don't want my rates to go up. I used to be a customer for years as I live locally but due to their complete disregard for their customers, and horrible management I will never return. I can get what I need from the farms I buy from directly. If you value your car or drive an expensive car be aware.

Overall, I thought the stalls were decently priced and we bought a lot of items ranging from fresh beets, garlic, mixed greens, to fresh cheese, and mushrooms. Apart from food and produce they sell yarn that comes from the wool of local sheep. I saw a distillery stall where they were handing out samples - it had quite the line. A stall that sold dry teas and infused syrups (I bought one actually) Maple syrup, soaps, I could go on. There's a booth for those who use Hip and apparently from $10 you get $30 to spend so it's a place where even those on a low budget can come and take advantage. Then there's the food which, you should definitely try. It was our first time trying food from Afghanistan and it was incredible. They were like these dumplings filled with either meat or squash, we chose the squash, and then it had lentils on top and a rich yogurt sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, honestly, it was a great experience, and the place itself is so beautiful, it's no wonder that there's lines of cars parked and others waiting to find parking. If I'm being honest, we never would have drive the hour round trip to come here if we knew we would have to leave our dog in the car. The prices were higher than expected but it's worth it so support local farmers. That being said, I am sure I saw a gentleman selling store bought pies at a markup so just be cautious and if your dog is always with you, there are lots of farm stands on the area you can visit instead of this market.

Christine (whom I had never met) said nothing about rules or purchase requirements and explicitly told me I could take photos. I left with my clients down the hill to take a few last shots and as I was getting into my car, Christine brought her husband Mike down in his truck to "scare me off". They flew past me, tried to block me from leaving the road, yelled at me to "never be seen on the property again," and accused me of "taking photos without buying anything" as if that were a crime. It was aggressive, threatening and completely unprofessional. This is a farm open to the public - visitors are NOT required to make a purchase just for stepping onto the property. If they have rules for photos, they can communicate them like adults instead of resorting to intimidation and theatrics. I won't be returning (for my own safety), and others should think twice before giving them business. If you do visit, apparently you'd better buy something immediately, since that seems to be their unspoken rule.
