This is such a fun place to visit with so many activities that are family-(and friend)-friendly! My friends and I went apple picking here! You can start off by taking brown bags or berry cartons at the entrance storefront. There are TONS of fields to explore: we explored fields of raspberries, elderberries, blueberries, and then you get to the apple orchards. There are SO many varieties of apples. I would make sure you have some good shoes because in some areas of the apple orchard, there are some steep inclines. If there is rain, it can also get slippery. There is also a HUGE pumpkin patch, flower fields that are available for picking, and a CORN MAZE - the latter is $6 entrance fee! Again, so much to do. Unfortunately I did not have time to experience the corn maze because it started raining by then. If I could make a suggestion, It would be nice for some of the trees to have a suspended net around the bottom of the tree (maybe this isn't optimal for weight purposes). But so many apples fall off the tree- or people drop them while picking. It seems a shame to go to waste, so would be cool if there were a way to catch them before hitting the ground and bruising/ resting in dirt. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. It was a ton of fun to visit the farm with so much to do, and delicious apples. PLUS Mac's Maple is also down the road so that was our next stop! read more

This place is the perfect Northeast adventure! Open both summer and autumn for berry picking, apple picking, pumpkin picking, flower picking.... I feel like you can literally pick anything and everything here lol! The place is huge so if you're not finding what you're looking for, walk around a bit and you will come upon rows of blueberry bushes raspberry bushes all sorts and kinds of apple trees, and the galore of flowers. In fact, I heard this place also has a corn maze over Halloween but never got to check it out. (because I was too busy picking their champagne raspberries, OMG those are ridiculously tasty) Oh well, next year! read more

A huge, amazing farm along the Connecticut River. We visited in September this year and found an astonishing abundance of pick-your-own Apples, blueberries, pumpkins and flowers. There were also blueberries, many of which were slightly underripe, and elderberries and raspberries, both of which were a combination of picked over and not ready to pick fruit. There were quite a few people there but, due to the size of the farm, we were largely alone. During these COVID times, masks are required in the buildings and encouraged when near others. This place is so great. It's also so Dartmouth to go apple picking during the fall. I came with my sorority on a lovely Saturday afternoon and the place was popping with Upper Valley residents. Riverview Farm is great though. You can pick apples, pumpkins, raspberries, blueberries, and probably a million other things. It's super kid-friendly and there were a lot of families during the afternoon that we were there. Everything there is also super cheap! I can't remember the exact price but yeah definitely something very cheap. The farm itself is pretty large. I felt like we were wandering the apple orchard for days. It's also a ton of fun just snacking on apples with friends as you're going along. We mostly spent our time with the apples and there was such a large variety of them which was pretty awesome. All in all, just a lovely place to spend a fall afternoon! read more

We spent a Saturday afternoon here, picking apples and pumpkins, and essentially engaging in all sorts of frolickery on the farm. I really like this place. I believe it's run by one family, and though it's a little small, you get the local mom n pop vibe when you walk among the trees. The apples are grouped in sections by type, and each row of trees is clearly labeled so you know what kind of apples you're picking. And holy cats - those apples are tasty and huge! I didn't try the hay ride, but I saw it go by a few times. The horses are pretty magnificent. This place is awesome for an autumn photo op. The staff was pretty friendly, and though it's a tad pricey, it's really worth a visit. I'll be back next year. read more

Riverview Farm is one of my favorite places. It is accessible but feels completely isolated, it can entertain kids and adults for hours (having visited dozens of times as the former and several as the latter I can back this claim), and, most importantly, the family that made it what it is are exceptional human beings. I spent Christmas this year at my family's house outside of Hanover. I grew up in the area, but have since started my own life far enough away that I don't make it back to New England as often as I would like, and almost never during the growing season. This year my Mom remembered how much I love the farm. She asked, and I told her that to me Riverview feels like the embodiment of New Hampshire--that I wished I had been in the area before it closed for the season. I remember the inside of the checkout barn more vividly than almost anything else from my childhood: fresh doughnuts and hot cider on the left, a deck overlooking the river out back, gourds stacked up along the walls ahead and to the right, and the smell of the dried flowers hanging from the ceiling everywhere in between. My mom made a quick phone call, hopped in her car, and drove to Riverview Farm. Though they were closed for the holidays, the Franklins met my mom and unlocked the barn to let her look around. On christmas morning I had dried flowers in my stocking, and now I have a little piece of Riverview Farm with me in Pennsylvania. Though we have never formally met, Paul and Nancy's farm had a large impact on my life, and in return I can offer nothing but admiration and my sincerest endorsement to visit their farm. read more

I visited Riverview Farm for the first time over the weekend 11/11/18 to make a Christmas Wreath along with my sister and niece. This was the third year that my niece had gone to make her wreath. They supply everything that you can imagine to make yours one of a kind. Everything grown on the farm. The women teaching the class are so helpful and patient. It was a wonderful afternoon having the wood stove burning, sipping the warm homemade apple cider along with the homemade cookies ( I think they were gingerbread I'm not sure, I was too busy making my wreath) but I can say they must have been delicious cause they were all gone!! I totally suggest you going, even if you already know how to make a wreath, start a new Holiday tradition with your family! Merry Christmas read more

This is my favorite place for apple picking. On the weekends during the fall, you can take a wagon ride up to the apple orchards to pick your applies, of which they have quite a few varieties-15 or so I believe. I also really like when they have Mac's Maple on site, when you can order maple creamees and other yummy maple treats. When you're done with apple picking, you can check out their store where you can buy cider donuts (if lucky!), cider, and other goods. Prices are reasonable, staff are friendly. I suspect this year we'll try to pick some other things like berries. It's also fun to check out their different squash and pumpkins too. There is a corn maze as well. read more

We had a great time at Riverside Farm this morning. It wasn't too busy because it's Thursday. I'm sure this place will be much busier on the weekends. They have apples, raspberries, golden raspberries, pumpkins and flowers for U-Pick. They also have a corn maze. We didn't do it so I can't give you a review on that. They have a stand for goodies from a sugar shack nearby but it's open on weekends only. All in all it's a great fun for the whole family. read more

Riverview Farm is the place for your autumn harvest frolicking. They have a lovely apple orchard through which you can wander, an expansive pumpkin patch, and a field of Indian corn which you can pick yourself. It is very friendly and very popular. (It does get somewhat crowded on autumn weekends.) The scenery surrounding it is lovely with river views and majestic mountains. Drive a little bit further south and you can cross the Connecticut River to Windsor, Vermont, on the beautiful Cornish covered bridge. In other seasons I understand that you can also pick blueberries and raspberries. read more

This a very nice place to visit in the fall. The apples and cider are greath. I really enjoy the activities like pumpkin picking, apple picking, horse drawn hayrides and a corn maze. The staff is very friendly and the place is not overcrowded. I have been coming here now 4 years and I have never been disappointed. The prices are cheaper than any grocery store around, so this is where I buy my squash and apples for the fall/winter. read more

Although I enjoy going to Riverview Farm anytime, I am especially grateful for their offer of "utility apples" at the end of the apple season. These are slightly less than perfect apples (misshapen, small, etc.) that they make available for those of us who like to make applesauce and pies. These apples are delicious and very reasonably priced. I consider this practice an important service to the community. read more

They were so helpful in getting us 5 dozen apples for our recent wedding! We were using apples as escort cards and treats so we wanted apples that not only looked good but tasted good. The apples we got were great and everyone there was so helpful in having them ready for us! As a bonus they had gorgeous sunflowers that we were able to use in our wedding.
