C had making it to a real apple orchard in New Hampshire on her list of must do while we were this far north. We were there in mid October and it was right at the end of the season it seemed. This place has so many treats and fresh produce to choose while you are here. Oddly enough, the best thing I got from here in my opinion was the local beef jerky! So good!! I wish I had more right now! The orchard itself was pretty cool. I'd never seen so many apples. Most of the trees were full of fruit with apples all over the ground. I guess they must yield more than they can use because the shop was full and they had open tours where you could go and pick your own apples. There were tons of varieties of trees on the farm. Lots of other produce is available here too. It appeared to be a complete working farm. The landscape was gorgeous as it's nestled on a sloping hill where you can see for miles it seems. The shopkeepers were super nice and we purchased a few things. A flight in a couple of days back home prohibited us from getting too many things. I won't likely ever return as it's far away and I have been there, done that.... But, YOU should totally go! '26 - 16

Upon arriving, we saw all the beautiful Christmas trees for sale and were immediately greeted by a very nice young man who asked if we'd ever been there. He welcomed us to check out the store and that there was complimentary mulled cider, apples, and fresh-popped popcorn and coffee, and a whole sitting area to enjoy it in. We purchased their own Cryovacced beef and sausage, some fresh veggies, homemade baked goods, and some cider. The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly! As we were leaving, my children saw some very small broken Christmas tree twigs in the parking lot and wanted to take them home for the ride so they could smell the pine. Another young man called over to me and said he had a better piece for them than what we found on the ground and he gave them a large branch! It just made their day! Then, my daughter saw the horses and he invited us to go and look at them. It was such a gorgeous setting and we really enjoyed everything we purchased. The sausage is out of this world!!! I'd drive 5 hours just to purchase it again!

But I passed on them in need of vegetables & herbs. If I'm not mistaken each item I bought was $ 1.00 it just over it. * They do NOT take credit cards... Cash or check only. And just so you know there is no ATM close by that I know of. Anyway, what I got for the amount I paid I feel was a real bargain for fresher produce than at the supermarket! I wish I lived closer... There is now a really successful and well run business in that spot. This is it!!! I visited today and was absolutely delighted to discover incredibly low prices with absolutely flawless produce. Mangos were 99¢ to $1.39 depending on size, a full pint of blueberries were $2.99, plantains were 3/$1, 4 mini cucumbers ended up being $1, tomatoes were $2.99 where folks at other stores charge double for the same thing!! I can't quote you on all the prices accurately, but if you know your fruits and veggies the way I do, you'll notice that the prices are generally 20-50% lower than other stores. Also - FRESH dates. Yeah. My American ignorance was challenged today, folks. I'm glad. The owner gave me one to try and it was great! I'm specifically writing this review because I really really want this business to thrive. Please go visit!! You'll be happy! :) The owner genuinely cares about the customers being happy, the quality of the produce leaving his store, and the prices are fantastic. What more could you possibly ask for?
