I stopped in tonight for a few items I needed after not shopping there in several years…read more As others have said, the prices are on the higher side (but this is expected in a small, local store.) I was quite impressed with the deli, and the hamburger, deli turkey and store made potato salad I bought was excellent! And the produce looked very fresh as well. One negative, however... I am 66 years old and often have a need for a rest room, due to a medical condition. When I inquired where it was the young cashier told me, politely, "It's not open to the public at this time." I know. Coronavirus. Pandemic. Gotta be careful. But come on... would it be better to soil myself in the middle of the store? ...So I had no choice but to leave with only half the items I needed. (How about a porta potty outside?) Overall, I did like the store and plan to return to buy most of my meat and produce. In addition, I found the employees friendly and courteous.

See, they have this one section on the side of the building, complete with a marked pedestrian crossing leading right up to the entrance. Meaning....perfect expedited departure route for said introverts. If I can escape a crowded grocery store in mere seconds, they automatically get all the stars. All jokes aside though, the rest of the store is as you'd expect. Selections may vary and all that, but....one interesting thing I noticed; whilst there's no fresh butcher counter, there is a fresh seafood counter. Not to worry though. The packaged meats are still Grade A quality. So, while I wouldn't personally go out of my way just to visit this particular location, I'm here to tell the locals that it's doing the Market Basket reputation justice. I've always had very good luck with the fresh deli services as well as all the meals they make they make it easy cause sometimes they marked them down and I take salad and stuff to work in my nursing job and they still taste really fresh after two days. I live about 20…read moremiles away, and we're used to a smaller Market Basket in Warner and a competing store from a Maine-based conglomerate based in our hometown, which shelves often resemble a grocery store in the old Soviet Union. This store is gigantic. Not only that, but it's ready-to-go food sections are immense. Extremely well, equipped, full shelves, great variety of organic products, a huge meat section, an entire containers full of frozen fish, in addition to fresh seafood at the meat counter. I found the service to be excellent, with numerous people ambling by filling their carts while busy employees, restocked shelves consistently. For the life of me, I don't understand why this grocery chain does not have self checkout aisles. I invariably do my own to make sure that my vegetables are not bruised or damage when I get home, which usually is the case when I go through a checkout counter. I really like this place. I went there a second time last week, and I will be coming back whenever I need supplies in Manchester. Some of the things I get here, are the black chickpeas(channa), besan(chickpea flour) for pakoras (gluten free too), large size bags of restaurant quality garam masala, paneer(India cheese), Kashmiri chili powder, and many, many more things. Indian food is not the easiest cuisine to learn, but is super delicious, and has many healthy ingredients. Don't get me wrong I love chicken tikka masala, and lamb saag etc, but I often make curried chickpeas (channa masala) and they are great leftover cold on salad, or in a wrap with some rice, and yogurt/sour cream etc. They also have some frozen delights for those wanting something for a quick meal. They also have some produce, and hard to find items. It is also right across the street from Market Basket, and that one has a good selection, of hispanic, and Mediterranean ingredients, plus everything else you would expect.
