So, on a weekend, we decided to take a ride and go check it out. It is an indoor farm stand open year round that carries all kinds of vegetables. They also have baked goods and....chicken pies, among other items. So...we decided to try a Chicken Pie. The price was $ 24.99 although we had to ask as the pies were not individually priced and there was no sign to tell you either. The result is the pie has chunks of dark and light chicken with literally no sauce. It was extremely expensive, and don't get me wrong I don't mind paying when something is really delicious. But this pie was far, far from that. I also thought the vegetables they sell were very expensive as well. Not a place I would return to.

This is a farm stand style CSA meaning you sign up for a full share or half share then each week, in the pick up day you signed up for, you go to the farm stand and shop for what you want, using as many or as few units as you choose from the currently available veggies. There are also their own dairy and meat available for sale, as well as items from other local farms. Included in the CSA (community supported agriculture) offerings are magnificent bouquets! All the flowers are grown right there n the farm. You can see new calves in their stalls, the herd out in the fields, and garlic or drying flowers hanging from the rafters of the barn. The views are amazing! Max and Melissa are amazing! Everyone working there is super friendly and helpful! The strawberries available early in the CSA season are to die for! I had soft serve vanilla and my daughter had the hard serve vanilla. I thought it was good overall but they really should give you the extra rootbeer as it was mostly foam and maybe a quarter of a cup of rootbeer. The Ice cream had a good flavor and we noticed they had many unique sundaes on the board. Probably would go back if in the area but probably not for a float.

Their barn items are insanely cheap for fresh bakery goods in this economy, and their fruit picking prices are fair. I haven't ever had a bad experience with service, and the ambiance is all wooden, cool, and overall just a great experience. It's literally THE place to go for a family trip or something fun to do.

Supposedly this is the #1 ranked fall farm by Newsweek last year...I haven't been to any of the other ranked locations or a large number of non-ranked spots so can't validly compare - but from what I experienced I'd say this is top notch. It's definitely goes beyond a regular "pumpkin patch" and has things to see and do or taste for all members of the family. People of all ages find joy in apple picking, fighting the honeybees, playing with goats, and riding in a wagon. Older adults can enjoy photo worthy moments in the sunflower fields too! Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to taste other products from the farm store but I'm sure they're wonderful.

We all know these calves are taken from their mothers who are inside the barns hooked up to milk machines and the calves are sold for veal. This is farm abuse! Humans are the only species that drink milk from another animal! Stop patronizing this place. Awful to see those calves

I have also bought their produce, and last yea drought was really hard on them and area farmer, but I am buying the full family share this year no matter what happens because we need to keep our local farmers growing to feed us!

But when you go down to pick up your first CSA and the email says "woohoo your bag will be ready at 2:00 pm and were so excited for the strawberries and everything to give you". I was handed the bag from the owner herself with nothing but store-bought groceries iceberg lettuce store-bought cherry tomatoes and cucumbers and store-bought strawberries and green onions nothing from her farm, she said I hope this makes you a nice salad! I said I'm sorry this is not what I expected from a CSA as anybody would I'm supposed to be getting fresh produce . Thinking, I can go to market basket myself and do this. When I said I was going to contact the farm but I didn't want it she called me a bitch in front of three of the customers and then started yelling wow wow wow so you just can't please some people! I told her this is very unprofessional and not the way you treat a customer she said don't worry I'll give you money back. There's a lot of things she could've done she could've gotten fresh produce from another farm and told us about it in the email and apologized for the first week of CSA ! Upon calling her after still no response she said she would mail me a check yet she took a debit online. She said because of my attitude I was an allowed back like I would step foot near her farm again!
