I have given 5 stars to this company as they saved me from bedbugs Micheal V was great in 2020 and Continued service always helpful and professional then I got very ill from January to June of 2023 was misdiagnosed from gastrointestinal doctors all in Las Vegas 3 hospitals not even my primary could help me I could not eat or sleep eventually lost 40 lbs but my California children saved my life by picking me up and taking me to their California home and found new doctors and hospital and finally within one month diagnosed as I would have died...So I stayed in California to recuperate and could only have house sprayed when I had someone at home could not have it monthly explained to Preventive they said they understood and that was fine ..... I made the mistake of signing a year-long contract with this company. I have scorpions which I know can be hard to get rid of. They did an initial interior/exterior spray but the internal spray was only along the baseboards and not in the places scorpions come in through, like pipes in the bathrooms and laundry .... apparently you have to ask them to do a "thorough" spray. My previous exterminator knew what he was doing and after spraying once, rid us of scorpions for 2 years. Preventative has come out 3 times over 4 months and I still have a scorpion problem. I stopped using them and hired another company and after 1 visit, the scorpions are now gone. Preventative is now trying to make me pay a $180 cancellation fee for cancelling a service that was not working.i read more

One super hot summer the pests came swarming in. It was me, my family and my cat against these humongous black widow spiders. I was seriously worried because what if one of them got my cat while he was adventuring around. Thankfully this company was quick to respond and they were able to send someone out to take down the cob webs of the nasty spiders. I was so happy and it's taken me a long time to write a review. Which is sad when great service goes unnoticed. But my parents have been using them for over 3 years. They're always flexible with our schedules. Service agent have jump over my gate without my permission and gave service. I clearly said no when he asked for my gate code for my backyard but he still jump over my gate. My wife was very surpriaed when she saw it over camera and almost called police. I called them to cancel my service but they still wanted me to stay for service despittle of what happen. We found a scorpion in our house yesterday so called PPC for an extra service; and Art just left. In less than 24 hours, they had our regular guy out and he sprayed outside and in. This is the third house we've lived in that PPC has serviced. This is our third "contract" with them. When we move in a couple of months, PPC is coming with us. They spray every other month BUT if you want them out in between scheduled visits, they come back out for free. As often as necessary. In one house, we'd have them out repeatedly during a certain time of the years when the split tails were 'in season.' Otherwise, we've always found their services to be very effective. Hubby left the garage door open one evening a couple of years ago which resulted in a rat making a home for itself in our garage. PPC was there was rat traps. We've liked all of the service technicians but we are particularly fond of Art who plans to follow us to our new home. They'll usually provide a two-hour window so that you can plan accordingly. Love these guys! Always on time, one $65 bi monthly rate (we locked in with them in 2005), professional techs, great crew! We used them in our last three homes and I am always pleased. Our history has been tarantula nests under deck and hot tub; roaches and spider nests in yard, etc. On a few occasion's we have found a spider in home that wasn't dead...we can always rely on them to come out within 24 hours and spray again no charge. Yesterday we found a bark scorpion in our backyard... Freaked out, called them and they sent someone out tonight for a night scorpion removal. Corey our tech was very patient and allowed my husband to follow him through his process with the black light. He answered all our questions and we learned a lot. Scorpions take a looooong time to kill because their metabolism doesn't allow them to die right away. The key is to work with the techs to understand, they will teach u how to spot the survivors and hunt at night. I am so glad I went with this company! I started out by searching for quotes to find the best price. What drew me in initially was the convenience of communicating with this company. You can chat with them through text and ask questions and get clear answers. Rather than how some places have you call and give you the roundabout answers. When a service company sends some disinterested worker to our house to go through the motions and get out as fast as he can, I never act surprised. Once in a while though, you hit three cherries and draw a guy like Glenn at Preventive Pest Control. I watched him wage an epic chess match with a family of rats, both sides trying to establish territorial control of our attic. Glenn sealed off entrances and fed them 'crystals of death' but the rats were defiant and evasive. The 150 degree attic was never a deterrant to Glenn...his energy and persistance finally paid off and the rats either died or took an Uber back to New York City. And what a nice change of pace from the usual parade of half-assed upsellers who march into our house and do nothing. If you're trying to sleep at night, but can't because rats are above you stomping on the ceiling and chewing on electrical wires, do yourself a favor and get Glenn out there. His efforts will get you your 8 hours of sleep. And it's comforting to know that while we're all eating chips and watching the news, Glenn is in his garage, perfecting snares and traps. When I killed a scorpion in the house they came out the very next day to spray. The manager had heard that I wasn't happy b/c the technician wasn't really putting any spray down. He then came out and did an extra heavy spray and said that the next time I get a regular service he would come with the technician to show him how to spray our house and yard. I showed him a small hole in the stuco that had what I thought was a termite flying in and out. He said it wasn't a termite and he came back yesterday to plug the hole and sprayed it before closing it up. All at no charge. I'm super grateful to have this kind of service. These guys get five stars for stellar service and quality work. I've had them for a few years now and have never had a problem with their service or the people. They are priced affordable and you can pick your frequency. I'm signed up for quarterly and that has always worked for us. If you have any issues between service they will come out as soon as possible and no charge. They always call a few days before to remind you and if you need to reschedule it is never any hassle. If you aren't there when they come they always leave a note letting you know they were able or not able to perform service. The guys even jump the wall to get the back yard if I forget to unlock the gate. I don't know if our mind, but I appreciate the thoroughness. I had ants suddenly appear in the kitchen on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend. I called as soon as they opened and they assured me they would eat a technician out to give service that day because they didn't want me to go through a long weekend with ants in my kitchen. That was awesome. And the tech came right away, explained he needed to use other products to target ants and said to call if for some reason it didn't work.
