Blu has had a few bad experiences with groomers in New York but at canine carousel, he feels like he's at home. Chrissy, our groomer, goes above and beyond to accommodate us and blu always leaves looking like a brand new dog. He recently got the cutest haircut with dog friendly dye. I love coming to canine carousel because they are really knowledgable about dogs. As a first time dog owner, it's really helpful to have a groomer who can give helpful advice--like how often my dog should be groomed, what's the best food, etc. This family owned, business makes my dog feel like he's a part of his family. I 100% support this business. Also blu always looks amazing (and smells amazing when he is finished at canine carousel). I can't say enough good things about this company. All the groomers are amazing. However, we routinely see 2 of the groomers who have spoiled him tremendously. He knows them like family and has become accustomed to the services associated with the process. I have before and after, take a peek. She has always updated me on his behavior and how to get him more comfortable with being groomed, with that said, recently I have been hesitant to bring my dog back because the "owner" is very condescending. First encounter with her made me not want to go there again because my dog loves it there. But "THE OWNER" makes supporting this business more difficult. I feel like she was rough with my dog , creating more anxiety for him. He's usually groomed by Melissa who is patient and very attentive and friendly. That owner thinks she's a veterinarian telling me what I need to do with my dog. I feel like she groomed him the last time he was there and scared him. The owner is the problem, that's it.

My dog almost rips my arm off to get inside and comes home tired from a fun day of playing with his doggy friends. I have been to several other doggy day care faculties in our area as well as two other states so I do have over 20 years of experiences. I have learned that no matter what cleaning precautions are taken and how much people care, dogs will still pass things to other dogs just like kids do at daycare, preschool, etc. I have never been upset at my kids school because one of my children came home sick as it's the nature of being outside of your house. Bark and Roll takes every precaution possible to keeps dogs healthy and happy. They deeply care about each and every dog which is something I value above all else. They have three dogs of their own that are their babies, one of which was a rescue who has blossomed from playing there, and they are there almost every day with them. I have realistic expectations of a doggy daycare and if you do too, you will never take your dog anywhere else. side note I have boarded my dogs with a dog trainer from a big name training facility in NOVA who said the benefit of boarding with him personally was that he takes 1-3 dogs to his home for boarding to be with his family which keeps them from getting sick. BOTH times I paid over $1000 for this, and BOTH times my dog came home with kennel cough and then whip worms the second time. He was in a private home with no more than 2 other dogs. My point in adding this is that it only takes ONE dog to make your dog sick and the only way to prevent that is to stay home. I choose to take my dog to place place where he is loved and cared for the way he is at home!

Whiskers should never be cut as they are a sensory organ for dogs, and cutting whiskers can cause discomfort and confusion for the dog (google it--not making this up). The Manager Katty responded "he was in a treat break and all is fine" Second day same thing and we call them again and the Manager responding "they are out for a break and all is good" Okay. Next day I called to let her know that we going to pick him up at 4pm. Asked for the bath and get him ready. My husband went to pick him up and he noticed that my dog had injuries in his face both sides. The owner of the dog stop was there and she asked what happened with him to her staff and the young boy who watches the dogs said "he was playing aggressively with another dog and couldn't separate them" When he got home with my dog I soon they walked in the house I noticed clearly that my dog face was swallowed very much. I took a closer look and saw missing pieces of skin. The right side worse than the other one. We took a pictures and sent a complaint email to the Dog stop for the negligence and carelessness with my dog. We never get any response from them. We brought my dog to the Pet Hospital and they test and give him a skin treatment using strong medicine and cone. The medicine prescribed was for any inflammation, skin abnormalities, skin trauma. According to The Pet Hospital they say "can't say what was the cause or what happened they only see the facts and give the right treatment" We approached to the Dog place the Mgr wasn't there but we left the veterinarian records about my dog treatment. Later Mgr. Katty called saying my email went to spam email and my dog didn't have any injuries and nothing. She didn't know when it happened and probably he did himself" Also said spoke with my dog Hospital and they never said was a bite by dog" But they never said it wasn't neither because they don't know! Obviously she tried to play down and avoid any responsibility of neglecting my dog. Trying to put all the weight of this situation on my dog doctors statement. Never offered any apology or compensation for what happened or find any solution or alternative. Poor customer service! I will never bring my dog here again!!!

Beware of this place! I would NEVER take my dog here again…read more My dog was supposed to do a 3-4 night boarding here and I went that morning around 8:30/9 to drop him off. We couldn't get into the building and no one was answering. The lights were off in the office and a lady who came before us said she was knocking for 10 minutes before we got there to drop off her dog. We tried to call another Dogtopia to see if we can have them call the office or someone they knew at the location since no one was answering. Super concerning for all the dogs that boarded from night before. How long have they been without care and not being able to go outside? We left after 10 minutes of waiting around and no one ever came by. They never called me and asked about my reservation or to apologize. Regardless every-time I come here, they make you wait in the front area for over 5 minutes. Absolutely no one comes unless you bang on the door. I also go to healthy hound and dog tales for backup and there is always someone in the front or at least someone comes out in 2 minutes because they know its a busy time for drop off. Never ever coming back and I would never recommend them.
