So, I decided to start researching some companies to take care of replacing my windshield. Of course my first thought is "guess I'll Safelite." And I got the quote.. I thought to myself, "Man, there's bound to be better prices around here." And was I right about that. I decided to grab a quote from precision auto glass through their website. The website was well constructed, operated smoothly, and was esthetically pleasing. The quote process was easy and I recieved a follow up the very next day via text (I applied for the quote on a Sunday evening). After a few questions about my vehicle, they expeditiously fired a quote to me. And was I shocked to see that VERY REASONABLE price. Fast forward to my scheduled appointment. The staff there were all very friendly and quick to go ahead and take my keys and get me checked in. Decent waiting area with comfortable seating and a TV if you decide to stay. It was identified that I had provided them with poor information about the type of windshield I needed (due to having a rain sensor I was not aware of). They notified me of the issue and said they would have to reschedule to allow them to order the appropriate windshield for my vehicle. They originally told me it would cost more. I rescheduled and went about my day. No more than 30 mins later, I recieved a text from them saying the other windshield was more but they would still keep my ORIGINAL quote! Went in to my next appointment. They had it done less than an hour, and I walked out of there spending CONSIDERABLY LESS than I would have, had I went with anyone else. And the price includes lifetime rock chip repair as long as the glass was installed by them! (Which we all have taken some good rock shots on I-15). Great local business, with great employees and great business practices. Would recommend to some of my closest family and friends, included my retired defender brethern, Big Red. I called the number that BMW said to call. The owner of the company said someone would be out first thing the day after Christmas. When I let him know that the crack is traveling he said I'll come over right now so it doesn't crack any further and cause you to need to replace the windshield. Mind you, this was Christmas day! This system is seriously flawed as the assistant didn't understand any of the prompts. She was finally able to gather all of my information, including my name, my phone number, and my car make and model. Next, I was connected to a service center. The woman at the service center, and then proceeded to collect ALL of the same information from me. She proceeded to give me my quote and told me they recommended getting my windshield wipers replaced and it would be $380 for the premium package. She said she would go ahead and get me scheduled for that. I told her I just wanted a windshield, nothing extra,just a windshield. That brought the price down to $255. They are charging over $100 for windshield wiper replacement! That is ridiculous! I could see someone like my mother calling in and just paying $380 without thinking about it ,because service center didn't say there was an option without this and made it seem like that was the price. it has been about 40 minutes now on the phone and she transfers me to my local shop, which was where I was trying to call in the first place. The local shop then proceeds to gather ALL of the same information from me. None of this information is transferred on from one phone call to the next. An hour later, and I finally have my appointment! Such a hassle! I have half of mind to just go with another company because they make this so difficult. How many people are you paying to do the job that the local shop did in less than 5 minutes!!

When obtaining quotes for a windshield replacement, this company was not the lowest bidder. I selected them because they represented themselves as providing high-quality service and cited a national accreditation. Service was scheduled for December 4, 2025. Prior to the replacement, I informed the technician that a dash camera was mounted on the windshield. He stated this would not be an issue and that he would remove it, with the understanding that I would reinstall it after the replacement. During the installation, the technician cracked the windshield from the interior while attempting to attach the rearview mirror. I understood that mistakes occur, and it was agreed that the windshield would be replaced the following day. On December 5, 2025, the windshield was replaced a second time. After the technician left, I discovered that the windshield wipers did not work. This occurred during a storm, and I had to wait over an hour for a third visit to correct the issue. I was informed that the wipers had not been reinstalled properly on the gearbox. After these visits, I was left to vacuum glass shards from the first broken windshield out of the vehicle. On December 21, 2025, when I attempted to reinstall the dash camera using the USB cable that had been left accessible near the headliner as agreed, the device did not receive power. It was later determined that the dash camera wiring had been damaged during one of the windshield replacements, causing a short and a blown fuse. The damaged wires appeared to have been twisted back together and tucked into the headliner, which was extremely concerning. On December 22, 2025, I requested a call from the business owner to discuss these issues. Instead, I received a text message stating that safety concerns are taken seriously and that I would be contacted shortly. No further contact occurred until January 7, 2026, when I was informed that the company would not accept responsibility for the wiring damage but offered a negligible discount for the windshield. I declined the discount and was seeking acknowledgment of responsibility rather than continued deflection. I can only hope this experience is an outlier. The attached video (explicative warning) shows the dash camera functioning at the time it recorded the initial windshield cracking during installation, and the attached photo shows the damaged wiring as discovered. There are additional and unfortunate details, but I am only summarizing the main issues and am ready to move on. Altogether, this turned into multiple appointments, follow-ups, cleanup, and troubleshooting that took far more of my time and energy than I could have ever imagined.
