Safelite has a shiny new location in Riverdale and I decided to give them try. The in-store experience was great and they did a fantastic job installing my windshield and in a very reasonable amount of time. The one hiccup was the website and how they run promotions. Apparently you can save money if you book your appointment on line ( a considerable amount) but that process was not easy. They don't ask the right questions about your vehicle and you end up having to talk with the store anyway. So, to save money, I had to go to the store, then try to book online, then talk to the store when the wrong windshield got sent in anyway. Oh, and it somehow set me up with three separate appointments. I guess my one suggestion would be to either make your app more seamless or just give the discount when someone shows up at your store.

Surprised me with a discount (because I had informed him on the phone that I had removed window and seal the night before) and happily gave me pointers on how the process was done. He finished in 30 min or so, and after paying him, I went to shut the hatch. It didnt lock, as it should, and Rhett didnt proceed to leave, he turned around and helped me figure out the issue. (Which was not his fault or responsibility to fix) We disassembled the latch motor and through process of elimination came to a resolution that repaired the part professionally and without damaging any of the delicate parts of the mechanism. I truly wish more people in the world had ethic and initiative like Rhett does. I hope his upper management knows and appreciates the solid character that represents their establishment. I called to ask for advice, and the team were super helpful and talked me through exactly what I needed to do in order to try and get things working - even though at that stage I wasn't a customer as my system was installed years ago in another state. Once I managed to get the vehicle drivable I went straight to their location, and they took the time to put the vehicle in valet mode for me and talked me through the possible error causes. In the end the fob was the culprit, and they ordered me a new one and paired it for me for no extra charge when it arrived. So, I decided to start researching some companies to take care of replacing my windshield. Of course my first thought is "guess I'll Safelite." And I got the quote.. I thought to myself, "Man, there's bound to be better prices around here." And was I right about that. I decided to grab a quote from precision auto glass through their website. The website was well constructed, operated smoothly, and was esthetically pleasing. The quote process was easy and I recieved a follow up the very next day via text (I applied for the quote on a Sunday evening). After a few questions about my vehicle, they expeditiously fired a quote to me. And was I shocked to see that VERY REASONABLE price. Fast forward to my scheduled appointment. The staff there were all very friendly and quick to go ahead and take my keys and get me checked in. Decent waiting area with comfortable seating and a TV if you decide to stay. It was identified that I had provided them with poor information about the type of windshield I needed (due to having a rain sensor I was not aware of). They notified me of the issue and said they would have to reschedule to allow them to order the appropriate windshield for my vehicle. They originally told me it would cost more. I rescheduled and went about my day. No more than 30 mins later, I recieved a text from them saying the other windshield was more but they would still keep my ORIGINAL quote! Went in to my next appointment. They had it done less than an hour, and I walked out of there spending CONSIDERABLY LESS than I would have, had I went with anyone else. And the price includes lifetime rock chip repair as long as the glass was installed by them! (Which we all have taken some good rock shots on I-15). Great local business, with great employees and great business practices. Would recommend to some of my closest family and friends, included my retired defender brethern, Big Red.
