The first shop I went to told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and it was in perfect shape. I wish that were true but my car is 12 years old and pushing 275,000 miles. Not to mention that I heard all sorts of popping and clunking noises while I was driving. It's a great commuter car and I'm trying my best to keep her going. That's where C & V comes in. When I got there I was greeted by the very friendly, Regina. I let her know what was going on with my car by doing my best Michael Winslow impressions and she relayed the message to John and the crew. I'm happy to say that my car is now popping and clunking free! I did spend a little more than I wanted to, but as long as my car is running great I can live with it. John was great at helping to keep cost down as much as he could. I'll definitely be depending on C & V to help keep my car alive!

Although they were closed, I left the keys in an envelope with the vital information in a key drop box. The next day I got a call; it worked for the mechanic Mike! Go figure?! He said if it happens again to give him a call. A week later I stopped to mail a letter, at the Post Office. Turned the car off, put the letter in the box, went back to the car. All in about three minutes. Again the car wouldn't start . I was hesitant to call Mike, but I did. A short time later he was there with some diagnostic tools. He got in the car connected the tools and it started for him! It's beginning to look like I'm some kind of a lunatic. The second time, Sunday, the tow company left it there. Monday, Mike found the problem. It needed a new starter, they gave me an estimate about what it would probably cost. Mike called at 8:20 am. By 12:20 pm Anne Called - the car is ready the same day! What a major relief. Called a friend to give me a lift over to the shop. Around here you're out of luck without a car. In the City there's the subway and buses. Life as usual. These guys do great work, and fast, at reasonable prices. There's not enough superlatives to describe them.

The root cause ended up being a missing NVH foam piece - something simple, but overlooked repeatedly. Bolt also worked directly with my warranty company and made a real effort to get as much covered as possible, which I appreciated. While they were in there, they were upfront about the spark plugs - noting that since access was already open, it made sense to take care of it now rather than paying for the same labor again down the road. That kind of transparency goes a long way. Overall, the team comes across as fair, honest, and focused on doing things the right way. It's safe to say I'll be going back to Bolt moving forward.

Apparently, it stuck in his craw because he just today sent me harassing vulgar messages laden with profanity thru the Nextdoor application. From a review from three years ago. I feel the other reviews, especially the unrecommended ones speak volumes about this petty little man. The littlest dog tends to yap the loudest. In fact, we used to patronize this business all the time when Bill Pardy and Phil owned it. Not anymore with this potty mouthed little guy who apparently solves issues by challenging people to "say it to his face" LOL (which, we in fact DID at the time and he responded very rudely). Over 50 cents!!!! Really? Are we back in junior high school? Looks like from the other reviews, quite a few customers have been treated rudely, but the owner appears to be in denial about it. I guess the truth hurts. I wanted to share one of the owner's responses in a direct message sent to me which I think speaks for itself to the true character and professionalism of this person (edited for Yelp) "You are a mother****** I don't need customers like you OK you gonna call the police for 50 ****ing cents you mother****** well you can go **** yourself you and where you came from and if you were a man and not a ****ing p***y you would ****ing come down and approach me because I have no idea who the **** you are people like you call the police for $.50 and that shows what kind of person you are" This unhinged person JUST sent me this vulgar message today(above) on Nextdoor DM from a review written THREE YEARS AGO. (I did not call the police about the 50 cents at the time just to clarify). Nice guy huh folks? Over 50 cents. I shudder to think what happens over an issue at this business worth more than 50 cents ( which these days buys you half a candy bar.)

started out great, I sent Tom to my sisters house (she lives 2 hours from me and her car broke down…read morein her driveway) to repair her car. Told him to address the thermostat hose, throttle housing and asked for an oil change as well. He had me buy the parts (great so far), we scheduled a day for him to make repairs. He showed up and changed the parts but couldnt get the car to stay on. He said the motor was probably blown or one of the pulleys were no good. And said the engine was smoking..Recommended to return and charge the battery and change the oil the following week. Unfortunately my sister paid him.... he said he would be back. I went to her house installed a new battery and an alternator. I sent Tom a video of the car working and just asked him to complete the oilchange since he was paid.. Tom agreed. Tom wont respond to texts or my calls. i have called and texted multiple times to give him the benefit of doubt before giving Tom this truthful and bad review. Dont waste yiur time with dishonest, misdiagnose and non standup Tom C mobile mechanic
