I also brought in a trench coat, which came back with all the same stains untouched -- honestly, for the best considering what happened to the dress. When I returned to show them the damage, there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to offer compensation. I had to request a refund myself. The employee handed it to me and simply walked away without even acknowledging the inconvenience. This place used to be excellent before the ownership change. Now it's an absolute mess. Please do not trust them with valuable clothing, especially anything sentimental like a wedding dress.

I explained the situation - the comforter was still wet and badly stained, including stains from a previous lifetime - and requested that it be dry cleaned and the duvet be laundered and pressed. The cost came to just under $100. When I picked up the items yesterday I was thrilled beyond words. The comforter was folded and packed into the same type of carrying bag it came in years ago (great for summer storage) and the duvet was pressed and hanging over a heavy-duty hanger. Not a hint of the stains anywhere, both exactly as fresh-looking as new. I just finished the 20-minute ordeal of replacing the comforter into the duvet - well worth the effort and out-of-pocket to have everything beautiful as new. Thank you, Dependable. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. During the summer I rent out my house and it takes to long to wash and dry all the blankets at home so I drop them off at Lapels. They do a great job, it's not that expensive and every week I pick up lovely clean and folded blankets. It is so hard to make sure the house gets cleaned properly every week and it's a huge relief to know that's done. I never knew clean, reliable laundry would be so important in my life but with guests rating my house on every little thing it's become a headache. I'm not sure why they don't have more 5 star reviews. I called and spoke with the manager and then met her at the store. She was so helpful and courteous and everyone there has been the same. They have successfully removed the stain (without me asking) in each case. They are expensive (but everything on the Vineyard is expensive) and slow (in Friday and normally back by the following Wednesday; I am used to one day service on the mainland; they did get it back one day earlier when requested). The employees are pleasant and efficient. I am a satisfied customer.
