Don't waste your time - they do not offer a "while you wait" service, offered to get a simple hem done in a week. When I got the pants back, the thread doesn't even match the rest of the garment. Wtf? I feel like this is failure at a basic level for an alterations business. read more

I had a very, very simple job. Hem curtains straight across with a sewing machine and also stitch two small panels together with a machine stitched pocket for tension rods. A total mess. Asked that a series of weights be sewn into curtain hems. They put in two, saying I didnt need any more. They displaced the pin marking the length on one set at the counter, making a guess necessary. They completely screwed up the tension rod panels which were each supposed to be 50" long and 18" wide. They made two panels 100" long, 9" wide. Then because they had messed up, I had to go to 48" which would just barely work. But they made one side of each panel 47" making them both lopsided and useless. Don't waste your hard earned money. These people either don't know what they're doing or don't care. read more

Wowzaaaa! I just sped into the shop at 5:26 and they close at 5:30 pm. My favorite favorite favorite bathrobe has a long pink plastic zipper which got out of track and I could not fix it. I had called a few places the week before, and the quotes given were quite high. As I said, I sped in here at the last minute, and not only did they fix it, but they didn't even charge me. Absolutely absolutely amazing. And while waiting a very, very very short time I perused some beautiful garments they have from Brazil. My birthday is in a couple days so I'm going to ask my husband to go there and buy me something Wow!!! Thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up!!!! We need the owner or manager of this store to be in touch with us immediately. Your staff has ruined our pants.... we gave you a pair of linen pants for repair and they sewed in massive swatch of corduroy inside like a diaper..... There is another hole in the pants that was not there when we dropped them off.. The woman cannot speak English, hung up on me on the phone when I asked who to speak with about the pants.... then I called back and she said.. you bring them back, ya, ya, ya, ya, ya. Then hung up again...... we have been customers here for years and will not be back except to get our money back and to get you to pay for the linen pants you ruined....... so bad! read more

Horrible customer service! I waited over a week for an answer to see if they could repair my item. I finally called "them" only to get "we will check and see". The next day I was told the cost to repair my item would be an additional 50% more than the original estimate. (Obviously, I will go elsewhere) When I tried to retrieve my item, no one was there at the 9:30 posted opening time...I even waited 10 more minutes. I had to wait 3 more days because they were closed Sunday and Monday. All in all, the whole process was 2 weeks of getting no where. I learned my lesson of where NOT to go. read more

Beware: you get what you pay for (ugh), but not while you wait! And not when promised. You'd think a business that prides itself in 27 years of continuous service would get the basics straight: like cuff vs. no cuff, delivering when promised. At least the work was done and the garments not ruined. Now I need to find a place to fix the gaff. read more

I had to pop in here while on vacation to get measured for a wedding. The girls working were so nice and helpful. They dropped what they were doing to help me out, and they were quick! Employees are nice and they did an ok job, however they overcharge for their services. A whopping $100 fee for prom dresses. Simple hem Job. Disappointed they would ever charge a student that much. Due to that alone, I will take my business elsewhere. Shame on you for charging kids that much money. read more

Horrible experience last summer. Brought a dress to get altered over a week before an event, called me to come back about 5 different times, something was wrong every time I came in and it did not get completed until the day before the event, very stressful. They also tried to charge for "moving a zipper" that they never ended up moving. Not a great job on the dress either. Never going back and would not recommend. read more

Hem's While You Wait advertises one hour hems, and says "Compare our prices". Maybe they do have hems within one hour, but if you go there for anything else, such as getting a dress taken in, be prepared to not receive it back for one week! It takes forever for a simple alteration. The prices are not low, actually a rip off in my opinion. Listen to that phrase they have stupidily used in their ads, COMPARE PRICES! read more

C ompletely unsatisfactory. Left a suit there for the pants to be let down a bit and jacket taken in. They said it would be ready in 5 days at 4pm. I arrived at 430 and they apparently hadn't even started. I returned at 6pm, waited another 25 minutes and received my suit covered in a red fuzz that looked like it had just seen a violent tour of duty fighting the dust bunnies under the couch. I later discovered they slightly tore the back of one of the legs when they let it down. Would not consider bringing my business back to them. read more

I've gone to Hems While You Wait! several times now and Eren(the owner) has always been very nice to meet and most of the time my hems are done in an hour. In one instance, the staff was very upfront and said it would be 75 minutes. I appreciated the honesty rather than returning in an hour only to sit and wait. More recently, I needed an alteration done and Eren worked with me to make sure I was complete satisfied with what I wanted and even stayed a few minutes after closing so I could get my clothes. First experience good. Receptionist very friendly. Came back to pick up 2 pairs of jeans the next week. One pair was perfect but the other pair I was still swimming in. So they kindly took them back to fix at no cost. They where due at noon and I called around 3 to see if they where ready and they had not been done. They offered to hem them within the hour, but I did not want them rushed, so I said I would pick them up the next day. I picked them up and put them on today. They are still too long. I guess don't ask for a Brazilian hem as they can't seem to do it. I refuse to go back a 3rd time, it is unacceptable. I wasted my money on pants that are still way too long...
