I visited the Bridal and Prom Discount Warehouse during my search for the perfect dress and I am really glad that I did. I didn't find my dress here but my experience was one of the best I had bridal gown shopping. All of the gowns here are under $500 and their selection is quite extensive. My group and I spent a good amount of time perusing the rows upon rows of styles in my size range. The two young ladies working that day collected everything we pulled and let us take as much time as we desired picking things out. I really wish I knew their names but the two employees working that day were wonderful. It was like I had two extra girls in my entourage. They were helpful and honest and I really appreciated that. It is irritating to a point to have a consultant simply tell you how gorgeous you look in every dress. These ladies on the other hand were able to read my enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for the gowns I tried on and were able to point out things that worked for my body and those that did not. These girls were genuine and real and their authenticity was well-received with my group. I do wish that I had found my dress here because I would have LOVED to pay under $500 but alas, it was not meant to be. I absolutely recommend checking this place out. You might get lucky and fall in love with something! The dresses were in good condition, some minor defaults here and there that could be corrected during fittings and alterations. The building itself could use a little sprucing up but the dressing and viewing area were comfortable and neat. If you are stopping through Fall River, put this place on your list! We make our way downstairs with the help of an associate here names Allison. They have a decent amount of dresses all sizes and styles , but since it's a discount store you can find stains and missing beads and stuff but a lot of the dresses are super cute it's just being able to find your style and size. They have 3 racks with more new style fashion , and the other 3 racks were for a bit older fashion. OH and they also have 2 smaller racks of short prim dresses , I'm sorry we were looking at longer prim dresses. The prices are super cheap, I saw dresses from 49.00-200.00. All the dresses my sister looked at were under 100.00, she didn't get anything here because she's still looking around but the one she did like was too small unfortunately. Allison was amazing she helped us as much as possible even with others being in the store as well. This place is super clean , and there's enough space to move around , the racks are packed and the dresses weigh a lot so your arm will hurt HAH! We made our way upstairs my mother insisted I start looking at wedding dresses , I am engaged but this woman is pushing for us to set a date can't you tell HAH, so go make my mother happy I looked at alllllllll the racks in my sizes , so many beautiful dresses , I was in AWE , once again Allison helped me set me and helped me with all my dresses, the one I liked had a terrible rip in the back but she said she would discount it like I said in the beginning it's a discount store so you will find flaws, but it's so worth the trip to check it out. Alexandras boutique owns this place as well and they're down the street. Any-who this place has a 5 lot parking spot it's super tight but it beats having to pay the meters. It's a small house /boutique which is so cute. My only complaint was the parking situation we have a mid-size truck so just a small area to maneuver in the parking lot. This place is great though. I was told on the phone, yes, most of our Mother of the Bride dresses have sleeves and they all can be ordered in your specific color. I asked how many and the woman who answered told me many. I then asked if I could make an appointment to shop. She told me I had to make the appointment online. Before I hung up, I reiterated exactly what I was looking for and that they could accommodate my specific needs and was told yes, no problem. I then went online and tried to book the appointment but kept getting 'kicked off' the page. I called back and asked for the appointment and the sales lady was happy to help me once I explained the website wasn't allowing it. Tonight I went for my appointment. I almost passed it up, but Fatima assured me she could transform it...and she absolutely did! We also brought my daughter's ball gown wedding dress to Fatima for alterations, and thank goodness we did. She worked wonders--adjusting the hoop, adding extra bling, tailoring the bodice, shortening the hem, and even creating a stunning 6-button bustle. She went above and beyond, and her prices were more reasonable than the shop where the gown was purchased! I've been here twice since they were doing trunks shows of designers tht i was interested in. They also have a lot of dress out back that you can choose from. Stephanie was my bridal consultant both times. She was great and asked me what I liked and in addition helped me pick out some dresses that I might like. She is also really good at pinning and clipping the dress, so you can kind of see the fit of it. of course, all the dresses here are about size 20 and since I am petite and only weigh about 105lbs, the dresses can be huge and a bit heavy. I didn't buy my dress since but if you are near here or can travel a ways, definitely check out New York Lace. Its a great place to start to get ideas and they carry many designers and prices range from $$to$$$$. If you are a member on theknot.com, you will get emails on trunks shows that take place here.

Terrible experience with alternations here. Bought my dress here, they made mistakes from the…read morestart, my hem to hollow was measured incorrectly as the factory received the wrong measurements from my fitting. The dress was about 3 inches too long. Then my alterations were not completed at my second fitting which was supposed to be where all the alterations are competed, after a month of my dress sitting there, nothing was touched. I gave them an extra day, still nothing was touched. Then after a week, I came and it was finally done. The craftsmanship/tailoring was a rushed job. After I took dress home I realized strap length was uneven. I ended up taking my dress elsewhere and having to pay extra to fix their mistakes. New tailor said the dress straps shouldn't have been cutt off how they were cut, it should've preserved as much of original fabric and design as possible, but things were chopped off without rhyme or reason. The bustle had huge pearl buttons that stuck out rather than being discrete. The straps were different lengths. The middle did not sit center on my chest & there was a fold even if I slouched a little. My recommendation: go to a trusted tailor! Do not go here. You may as well not buy your dress here as they'll just drag things out and string you along until it's too late to fix anything. The new tailor ended up doing an off the shoulder strap with a thin and comfortable spaghetti strap that fit the dress much better
