I stopped at Spartan cleaners today to ask if my suit could be dry cleaned by Friday and that I know it was very short notice and the ignorant man behind the counter very rudely and harshly said" we don't do custom work!" so I shrugged that off and asked if there were any way it could be pressed? again the ignorant man behind the counter said even ruder and more harshly "WE DO NOT DO CUSTOM JOBS!!" I obviously left and went to Centerville cleaners and asked the same. The charming woman behind the counter said of course and asked if I needed it tomorow, I said Friday would be fine. so if you like rude ignorant people to belittle you then Spartan cleaners is your place but if you like nice sincere people to help you then Centerville cleaners is your place. I would never go back to that place even if it were free. read more

We had a bottle of heat resistant spray left open in one of our suitcases (thanks TSA), leaving us without our clothes for a wedding and flight home the next day. Spartan Cleaners was able to turn our large amount of dry cleaning around in less than 24 hours with the friendliest customer service. Being that I travel for work every week I try and find a local cleaners to do my shirts and slacks. Spartan cleaners is one of the great ones. I have used them every week since January and the shirts and pants are done with such great care. The people running the shop are always courteous and friendly. Location is fantastic and when I needed them to do some special work, they were happy to do it. Being these crazy times with the pandemic, they are even more helpful. read more

I was on vacation in Massachusetts when I spilled red wine all over my FAVORITE white sweater. Luckily I was able to find Spartan Cleaners, and they got all of the wine stain out of my sweater (as well as the white tank top I was wearing underneath). I dropped off on Tuesday and they were ready by Friday, for an extremely affordable price. So happy my sweater was saved! read more

I returned to using Spartan after my dry cleaner of many years closed. Last summer I was really struck by how aggressive and rude the front counter people were. But I chalked it up to pandemic stress and just tried not to make any kind of mistake or ask any question while dropping off my clothes. This summer, it's the same thing. Look, I'm not a dummy, I know how to count my clothing pieces while dropping them into the basket in front of the plexiglass barriers! When I retrieve two of my favorite silk blouses this week, they were both dingy looking and the lovely sheen of silk was gone. They have both been dry cleaned before and we're returned looking like new. I don't pretend to know what Spartan did wrong to ruin my blouses. I DO KNOW that I was reluctant to point out the issue or ask any questions because the woman at the counter had already told me that they don't take the hangers that I brought back to them (even though they came from Spartan). She was waving a slack hanger at me telling me that they are useless even the first time and not good to be reused. Dude, you gave me that hanger! read more

I had my first bridal gown fitting today and on Thursday I called Spartan cleaners to see if they could steam my slip by today. It had been delivered late and the tulle material was horribly wrinkly. Not only did they accommodate my request but in less than 24 hours. For less than $20.00! They also called Friday to let me know if was finished. They did a fantastic job! Worst customer service. Tried to charge me $200 to press a dress. Go somewhere where they deserve your money, they don't!

Absolutely awful, worst dry cleaning experience yet. They completely ruined my suit, the surface inexplicably feels like iron scrap on some places - I don't know what they did or how they did it. My pants came back with two buttons missing, of course I didn't realize until I took them out of the plastic cover thingy...and a plain white t-shirt, the only thing they did right, cost $5. I just wanted it cleaned (I was in a motel, couldn't do it there)...so put ruining my clothes and very expensive together, and add in not being nice, and you get 1 star on yelp. read more

I've tried Spartan about three times to have my white work uniform shirts cleaned and pressed. Something I've had done at other places with great results. Not sure who Spartan sends their stuff out to, but the shirts always came back with creases. On my last visit I was especially dissatisfied with the amount of creases and even noticed a couple stains that were not there when I brought it in. I returned the shirt back to them and they sent it out again. My shirt came back looking worse with buttons melted. I voiced my dissatisfaction and the lady working basically said it was my fault for letting them press it. Buyer beware! These guys will not take responsibility for giving it back worse then you brought it in. read more

I have been going to this cleaners since moving here in 2013. They are friendly and efficient, I've never had a problem with any of my clothes, we launder suits to skirts and everything in between. Thank you Spartan for taking such good care of our clothes! read more

I can't say enough about Spartans Cleaners! They are The Artisans of Dry Cleaning in my book!!! Been going there for about 5 years. Clothes come out great! Staff is always friendly! Great location! (near a lot of other places, that I do my weekly errands) The reason why I go there, is Spartans is one of the very FEW LEFT, DRY CLEANING SERVICES THAT DOSE NOT SEND OUT THEIR CUSTOMER'S CLOTHING! REPEAT: Spartans is one of the very FEW LEFT, DRY CLEANING SERVICES THAT DOSE NOT SEND OUT THEIR CUSTOMER'S CLOTHING! Everything (except maybe boots and furs) are done in house!!! You can see the machines, and ironing boards right there, in the back! That's so great! They do the clothes/items themselves! Not rely on other out of town or even out of state companies to do their work for them! Cape Cod needs more small businesses like this! I can tell these people care about their customers and their work they put out! Folks, try this place, please, give the local business a chance...and not these heartless corporations that treat you like another number. Wish I could give 6 stars not 5! read more

Googled "Dry Cleaners" and found web page for Spartan saying Tuesdays & Thursdays are 10% off for seniors. Since I qualify I brought my items in on a Thursday only to be told the posting is "very old" and Tuesday is senior day for 5% off. I explained that as of then (9/17) the posting is still active and the folks said they'd pass it along for review. Before picking up my items I checked the internet again and found the posting still active and printed it. When I arrived for pickup I explained that this offer is still active on the web and produced my copy of it. I was told very politely that I didn't need to do that and also Spartan does not accept credit cards (NOT on the web page) which I had in my hand. After a quick run to the ATM I returned and was charged full price. Folks are very nice, cleaning was adequate but SPARTAN needs to honor their advertising and disclose their cash or check only policy up front in such advertisements. Is this anyway to run a business? Spartan has seen the last of mine. read more
