Let that sink in--they misplaced an essential part of the tuxedo he was supposed to wear on one of the most important days of our lives. Instead of taking ownership of the situation, we were left scrambling at the last minute to find a solution during an already incredibly stressful week. No one should have to spend the days leading up to their wedding wondering whether they'll have something to wear because a dry cleaner failed to do the one job they were hired to do. Entrusting someone with expensive, sentimental clothing requires trust, and unfortunately, that trust was completely broken. We expected professionalism, accountability, and urgency. Instead, we were left disappointed and without the tuxedo pants my husband needed for our wedding. If you have clothing that's important for a wedding, black-tie event, or any special occasion, I would strongly recommend taking it somewhere else. This was an avoidable mistake with consequences that can't be undone.

This is in response to the owner of Jiffy Cleans's response to my comments:…read more Dear Ms. Joni B, I was promised the clothes would be ready at a certain date and time and they weren't, period. If I received an abject apology then I'd still be mad but would not have loudly complained like when I was greeted by the "short of help" so called excuse. You then commented that your employee said she offered to have them ready in 30 minutes. She did but we were busy and did not want to wait around and opted to come back that afternoon. When we came back that afternoon she said she never should have promised they'd by ready Monday at 4 because she hadn't examined the clothes and when she finally did she realized they had to be washed, not dry cleaned. So if we opted to accept her promise to have them ready in 30 minutes and we came back in 30 minutes she would have had to say again the weren't ready because they had to be washed!!!!! I've taken in all sorts of items and until now things have been satisfactory. But today I went to pick up my pieces and noticed that a vintage coat that, of course is my favorite, had been ruined. I walked back in to show her and see if they could fix it. Not only can they not, the lady couldn't have given less of a F about ruining my coat. Literally nothing. Except "maybe next time wash it by hand". It's dry clean only which is why I brought it there. So, lesson painfully learned. If you just need basic cleaning and you are unbothered by scowling women who seem to loathe their job and everyone around them, go here. If you have anything precious that requires skill and care, skip this one.

But this time I had to bring it because of my cat's puke. And you know what? When I got it back and it was STILL covered with CAT FOOD which was the reason WHY I brought it there to clean, they told me to inform them next time that there are real troubles there because "it takes more time and resources to clean it". I can't say if it was even washed. What are we talking about? So... They "rewashed" it for free, but if I am supposed to tell you something about my order... Why would you just ask me exactly what you need? I don't want to come back to spend extra thirty dollars...

They said they needed to call the driver (cause they 'send it out') but the driver should be here at 10. We came back at 10 and both women were in the back. I was joking that they were probably in the back pressing the clothes. They came out 6 min later with the correct clothes, hot. So either the "send out" was a lie to give them time or they in fact forgot about the clothes and never sent them out. Moral of the review: if you want the service done on time this is not the place to go. The place doesn't seem organized at all and I wouldn't be surprised if they lost clothes frequently.

I brought it in with a few small fresh…read morestains and got it back with the original stains still there, plus new large oily stains from their "cleaning attempts." On top of that, there were obvious new stitches added that hadn't been there before, and they didn't even remotely match the fabric or color of the knit. I also brought in a trench coat, which came back with all the same stains untouched -- honestly, for the best considering what happened to the dress. When I returned to show them the damage, there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to offer compensation. I had to request a refund myself. The employee handed it to me and simply walked away without even acknowledging the inconvenience. This place used to be excellent before the ownership change. Now it's an absolute mess. Please do not trust them with valuable clothing, especially anything sentimental like a wedding dress.

The moral is: if you can, come to Provincetown with enough clothes. I'm glad Prestige is there, but if I weren't too lazy to iron (hey, I'm on vacation!), I'd be happy not to have to use their services.

I strongly recommend finding another way to get your cleaning done if you are in Provincetown…read more I have lived in Provincetown for extended periods of time during the summer season for almost 20 years. This is the only real laundry service option in town. If you are too busy to do your own laundry, or lack the facilities, then you must take your clothes here. It is the most poorly run laundry service I have ever encountered. It is more expensive than even New York City services, and they often lose clothes. They recently lost every pair of socks and underwear that I own, which finally prompted me to write this review. I had paid them in advance. I was offered no compensation for my losses. This is not the first time I have had bad experiences here, and I know other local customers with similar stories. I repeat... I strongly recommend finding another way to get your cleaning done if you are in Provincetown.
