This place is a scam! Warning...do not take your car to this place for any reason, you will walk away with issues. Took my car twice for an oil change and twice I have had issues afterwards (not before). They got me the first time and I ended up paying the $2,000 dollars, second time (shame on me) I took it for another oil change and guess what happened after I left?! The engine lights and the abs lights went on, took it back and told them this issue and they said "these things just happen"... They refused to fix it without trying to charge me another $2,000! This so called "BMW certified" mechanic shop is an absolute disgrace. Their incompetence and lack of transparency have cost me thousands of dollars, wasted weeks of my time, and left my vehicle in the same or worse condition than when I brought it in. I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT bring your vehicle here under any circumstances. I initially contacted them about a coolant leak for my BMW X3 M40, seeking a more affordable alternative to BMW's $4,500 quote. Their representative, Christian, assured me they could fix the issue for around $1900 based on BMW's diagnostic report. I decided to take his word and forfeit the diagnostic charge I had already paid at bmw...This was a huge mistake on my part... What followed was a cascade of incompetence and apparent deception: Initial repair: Over $4,000 for oil gasket housing and coolant hoses, I was upset but reluctantly paid... One week later: Same low coolant warning. They claimed it was just a faulty cap which they ally replaced without seeming to do any other testing .. Few Days after: Low coolant warning persisted. They mentioned it would be another $2,500 for radiator and heating hose repairs that apparently wasn't noticed the first or second time it was brought in A week passes: Issue continues with low coolant warning , they then quoted me an additional $4,900 to fix a cylinder gasket and replace some spark plugs. I declined any further repairs. When confronted about their clear misdiagnosis and misleading estimates, they had the audacity to claim they "never check the internal because it was an external leak." This level of negligence is not only unprofessional but potentially dangerous. I've now spent over $7,000, and my car remains unfixed. Their incompetence is matched only by their lack of accountability and transparency. They either have no idea how to properly diagnose and repair vehicles, or they're intentionally exploiting customers - neither scenario is acceptable. They consistently failed to properly diagnose the issue, most likely charged me for unnecessary repairs, and completely wasted my time. I urge all potential customers to avoid this shop at all costs. Dealership pricing without dealership responsibility. The mechanics at this shop know their business, so this is by no means a knock to them. On the other hand, the business and customer service are poor. I spent $7K at this shop. After an alignment, the car is hopping all over the road after 70 miles driven, but since it's been 4 days past the month, they hit me with, "You have to pay again. That's how business works." I told them to restore my rims, and instead, they power-coated them gray, destroying the forged aluminum look/design; their reactions to my comments were, "Well, that's baked in the rim, so I tough luck, buddy." They are also pretty pushy about extra services. The best quality of a good shop is its relationship/trust building with customers to incentivize repeat business and reduce advertising and business downtime. I don't care if I have to pay more for quality work, peace of mind, and knowing that whatever I'm being charged or recommended to fix is legit and that when something doesn't go as planned, the shop won't take that as an opportunity to make an extra buck. My car was taken there weeks ago and they said that the belt needed to be replaced, they sent me the quote via text message and I accepted it. I got my car the same day in the afternoon, the next day my car stalled and it had to be taken to the shop, they replaced the belt again because it snapped and that was the problem. They did the replacement at no cost. I got my vehicle again and after two days it snapped again, they didn't have a specific excuse but did the job one more time. The third time they finally installed an original part instead of the generic ones besides lying and saying that they used original parts at the beginning. After the terrible experience I decided to do my homework and investigation on this company. The facts are: this company doesn't use OEM parts (original manufacturer equipment) that is why on the link that they send you (repair order) they include a picture of the old part and the new part but never the box that way you don't realize that is not the same brand that the dealership uses. The first two belts were not the same original brand that the dealership uses. Most of their mechanics are not certified (ASE Certified) which means they hire people who know how to fix car but didn't go to school for it. They are not certified in BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Ford, Toyota, Nissan or Volkswagen. They are running a deceiving operation and charging more than the dealerships when they are not up to the standards. They can not show the credentials because they don't have them. I went to the dealership to get an estimate for the same job and Prestige Auto Tech charged me three times the price for the belt than the suggested retail price. These people smile in your face and stab you in the back, needless to say that I am not coming back to this mechanic shop. Do yourself a favor and don't risk your vehicle by bringing it to this place. By far is was the worst experience I've ever had with mechanics , from taking 3 months to not even being able to fix the car because they lost my cluster, to fixing problems that didn't do much in one of my other vehicles, overcharging, by thousands, and I have text, pictures and messages to prove it if they try to say anything on this post. Also one of my cars got hit and they fixed the part that was very visible. But there were some scratches on that car, which they will not fix because it didn't come out in the pictures. Cuz, it was too light. My mistake was taking my cars here first and not taking videos beforehand , i have to take my car 2 separate mechanics now to fix what they couldn't. Don't take credit card payment from this company they will dispute the charge without giving you a warning or a chance to take care whatever the issue is. by doing that is very suspicious, they pay us $3,296 for an engine and then 4 months after the dispute the charge. We tried to contact them to ask what the issue was and no response never contacted us. Very suspicious. Now they want to keep my engine and the money obviously we got our lawyer working on this. Every nasty thing you have ever heard about car mechanic shops is true as it pertains to Prestige. Their business model is simple; take advantage of people in need and see how much money they can swindle from them. The other reviewers are so spot on. Prestige clearly doesn't care about people. My wife and I took our cars here because we thought we would get reliable service based on some older reviews but it turns out they're just hoping to fleece you for every dollar they can. I took my car in for a battery/ electrical problem and they sold me some other service about my ignition which I later learned was BS. They didn't fix the problem but they knew that, it was all in effort to just keep selling services. With my wife's car her A/C wasn't working, they kept her car for 3 days for "diagnostics". They "fixed" it; 6 months later it wasn't working. We took it back because the service was under warranty, and again they "fixed it" few months later same thing but this time warranty ran out. So we took it to Tire Choice. Customer "Service" Rep, Arnaldo, for some reason, a couple weeks later texted me saying "Hey how are you? You haven't been by the shop in a while" Umm??? What? What a weird and creepy text to get. I thought you fixed our cars why would I be by the shop? We aren't friends? Im not there to hang out? It's so evident that because they knew they didn't do anything for our cars they clearly expected us to come back and spend more. Absolutely pathetic people. We instead went to Tire Choice on 137th Ave and 56st they took the car in and in about 15 min figured out what the problem was, one of the connection pins was faulty, repairman fixed it and they sent us on our way and DIDN'T CHARGE us a dime. Its been well over a year and A/C still working. Thankfully they didn't get us for too much, I feel so sorry for the other people who have spent thousands. I think my review will mimic most of what I'm reading here. I wished I had seen these reviews prior to taking my car to this place. I am not one to make Yelp reviews, but I feel deeply taken advantage of. I don't have much money and I have been trying to get my car working since my check engine light came on and I had some issues I couldn't afford to fix at the place I trusted. They were supposedly more expensive. I called Prestige to get a quote hoping to save money. They towed my car, got me to use their loan service, gave me the wrong interest rate- which I had to verify myself. The car has been there 3x- I have spent over 10,000 and they have never fixed the original problem. They seemed to invent a lot of new ones! The check engine light remains on and now the EML light is on. I had to tow my car yesterday and I almost took it back there since they didn't fix it- my gut said enough. The last time I went- they gave me a loaner, which took a month to get and then tried to blame me for the damage that existed on it- thank goodness I had taken pictures and never even drove it.. read more

They were supposed to have it diagnosed on Monday. Well today is Tuesday 1 pm and the was was still in the same spot as I left it. BE CAREFUL! If I could give them 0 stars I truly would. I took in my BMW for a diagnostic as it was leaking some sort of fluid. I left the car and they provided me with a diagnosis. I asked that they go ahead and do the repair. I took the vehicle home Thursday. I placed a cardboard under the vehicle to ensure that the car was no longer leaking fluid. To my surprise it WAS. I received a call to follow up with the service and informed one of the reps Javier that the car was still leaking fluid. I was asked to take the car back in on Tuesday. I took the car, they checked the car and then charged me another diagnostic fee. They never told me that they were charging me an additional $167 and some change for a second time. The irony is they charged me to check their own erroneous work. After arguing for quite some time in disagreement I still had to pay. It is absurd! I truly regret taking my car here and dealing with these SCAMMERS. Avoid avoid avoid! You are better off going elsewhere! They try to soothe your wounds with the hoax of a courteous car wash. Christian (or Kristian - not sure how you spell his name) is the NASTIEST rep of any company I have ever interacted with. He literally hung up on me after I said I wanted to speak with the previous service rep. Really awful. Held me up for FIFTEEN MINUTES to just share a number the other rep told me Christian/Kristian had in front of him. Too bad it sours my impression of them which used to be more positive. UPDATE: He then lied to me and told me that the other service rep cannot be my advisor... and it turns out he can. Prestige's service was laughable as well as dishonest. After servicing my car there once before with what I believed to be quality service I decided to go back to fix interior damage. My boyfriend had placed Continental tires on my rear seats causing the ink to stain the leather. Upon verbally agreeing to their estimate on 03/25/21 Arnaldo, a sales associate, informed me the day after that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. A few days later I arranged for a ride to then drive 50 minutes only to open my back door and see that the stains were still quite prominent. I told Arnaldo who said he had not even looked after the technician supposedly finished the job and he promised it would be handled. After leaving I contacted Arnaldo to clarify what he meant by "handled" and he said they would redye it with no additional charge. I was unsatisfied with that response feeling I should now be compensated for the inconvenience and asked that he not move forward and that I would bring it elsewhere or simply replace the back seat. He said that because of the dye and labor already performed I would still have to pay the full amount or I would not be able to pick up my car. On 03/31/21 the supervisor sent me pictures of the rear seats to which I pointed out that the stains were still noticeable in the pictures therefore they would still be very noticeable in person. He disagreed saying "there is no tire marks nor black on the seat" and then again "there is no black there" and "nothing at all". He went on to say unless they received payment his driver would not deliver my vehicle. Being that this is my only vehicle and they were holding it hostage after having it for over a week I decided to pay for it so I was able to drive to and from work. I mentioned specifically that they were Continental tires because I am including before and after pictures where you can still clearly see Continental printed on the seats as well as remaining black stains. The 2-year warranty they gave me would be a good deal if in fact they completed the job in the first place. The car was delivered with imperfections in color and finish. This was my experience as a customer. My car was recovered after being stolen but the thief left it filthy with dent, scratches, smell from smoking and other damages, including mechanical. 1. Every time I was told the car would be ready, it wasn't. Would always get an "I'll call you back to let you know" which obviously never happened week after week. Almost 3 months to complete a job that should be done in way less time. 2. Did not clean the inside of the car after charging my insurance company for a detailed cleaning, so the car still had a terrible smell of cigarette. When I asked how come it wasn't cleaned the answer I got was that they "don't do detail cleanings but If I would bring my car back they would as a courtesy". Well, why not just do it instead of having me bring it back, especially after the issues I've had. They charged for an air filter that wasn't changed. Even after bringing back the second time for all the issues to be fixed, I had to tell them that it still wasn't changed. Now more time wasted waiting for them to go get one at the store. 3. Paint job was not done properly in the bumper, left with paint dripping underneath (still not fixed after it was mentioned). 4. They put my family's life risk!! When I picked it up I notice it wasn't driving properly and wasn't aligned. The car would suddenly jerk left or right as I was driving so I decided not to waste my time with this shop again and go directly to the dealer. To our surprise, there was a loose bolt on the control arm which barely made it to the other side of the nut. The dealer said that an alignment wasn't done but the shop did charged for one. 5. To put the cherry on top, after I picked up my car from the detailed cleaning they ended up doing, my sunglasses were missing and still nowhere to be found. read more

Brought in vehicle for transmission work via Warranty company (CARSHIELD/AUTOSHIELD *** NEVER USE THEM). Left vehicle with Prestige. At NO TIME, during vehicle drop off or the multiple phone calls with Prestige was I notified that if the warranty company denied the claim for vehicle work, there would be a $119 inspection fee that must be paid in order to release the vehicle. Story: The steering rack in our 2015 Audi A6 had to be replaced at 66000 miles. I called around few shops in the area to get quotes. Looking at the good reviews we towed our car to this place. The initial estimate provided was around $2500, later they said it'll be slightly higher around $3k to which we agreed. After a day, they performed a diagnosis and said few other stuff has to be replaced. We asked them how much would it cost, and they said it'll be $4000 total to do everything. We agreed for it however on the day of picking up the car, to our shock the bill came out to $7300 !!! When asked, they were saying something like it was an additional amount over the initial estimate, which they didn't clearly communicate to us. I went through the invoice and found out they tried to DOUBLE CHARGE on few items; i pointed it out to which they gave the classic response - "Sorry it was a mistake on our side". The steering rack was like $1880 in parts online and these guys charged $2535 for the same part (which is like a $700 rip-off premium). Also they charged $752 for replacing valve cover gasket !! I could go on and on. 5 months and 6k miles later at 71000 miles, i hear strange noises coming from the front steering whenever i turn and go uneven surfaces/bumps, like a tuck knocking sound. Also the EPC light is on. They want to charge again a diagnosis fee for the work which they've done few months back. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE at any cost. I really wanted to write a good review for these guys. I REALLY REALLY wanted to give 5 stars. Unfortunately after my experience at Prestige auto I can not. I brought my Porsche Panamera hybrid here for a check engine light concern. I asked them before handing over my keys if they were able to work on a hybrid because I know they are a different animal. They assured me yes. I decided to give them a try and was originally quoted $2600. After almost 3 months later I finally get my car back and was charged $5100 for a ECU replacement. As soon as I drive it off the lot my vehicle overheats and I immediately have to turn around and bring it back. I'm told their was "bubbles in the system " I found that weird giving how the radiator and coolant has nothing to do with the ECU but whatever. I had to leave my vehicle over the weekend again so they can resolve the issue. I finally get my vehicle back 4 days later and drive home. I notice my vehicle making a weird noise coming from the engine every time I accelerate, I also smelled something burning coming from my AC. 4 days later my Panamera has the exact same issue it had when I brought it in originally. Check engine light and reduced engine power. I brought it back to prestige auto and this time they quoted me another $7k on top of the $5k I already paid them to fix the issue I originally paid them to fix from the very beginning. They took apart my engine and when they put it back together damaged it and tried to make me pay for their mistakes. My engine never made noise prior to bringing it here. My car is now ruined and now I'm left without a car. They said "sorry about that" but gave me no viable solution. Thanks Christian for the updates and communication. After many repairs at astronomical prices and a fraud system that even a NASA scientist couldn't figure out. I took my Audi S5 in for various repairs and the service advisor would always tell me it was something and then call back later it says something else. To think that I was going to save money by not going to the dealer which they bash your head over and over again with that theory. I must tell you that these individuals are a complete fraud!!!!!! To the rude mechanics that don't even say hi, to the service advisors that greet you with a smile and screw you in the end, and lord behold the little short guy with the hat who one day is the service manager and the next day he's the owner and I guess next week he will say he's the president of Taco Bell. In all of my years of living in Miami-Dade County I have never experienced such thievery and fraud in my entire life. Be mindful that these individuals being they deal in high-end vehicles , most of their clientele are probably doctors and lawyers who are very well educated and probably have sued the hell out of them in the past. Please do yourself a favor and don't even bother, just go to the dealership which I ended up having to do at the end in which my car has been running perfect ever since. What they do is get your car in the shop and once they have it they will find a problem but they will fix something else knowing that you will come back later with the warranty scheme and will tell you its something else and then charge you for everything. It's companies like this that give good businesses a bad name and trust me they're going to read this and will have someone on there staff who's going to write a very nifty and beautiful response to camouflage their outrageous tactics. I say again if you have any sense you will stay far away from this place! And the most classy part of it all is when I finally had enough and went in to request all the documents to file various complaints they refuse and actually attempted to push my button. And when I let them know that I wasn't having it they actually call the cops on me . I guess they figured that all they have to say was a black man was being irate in their business and sure enough the cops came with lights and sirens. I desperately tried to find out who made that call and what did they tell them so I could make a complaint with the state attorney's office for fraudulent use of the 911 system but the records could not be obtained. Ladies and gentlemen please do yourself a favor , if you have any type of vehicle just spend the extra money and go to the dealership we're it may not be a guarantee that you will be satisfied with the service but at least you have some knowledgeable individuals who work on your particular brand and will better customer experience than these clowns. I filed a complaint with the county and the state and unfortunately due to their normal beautifully written responses there was no action taken. I had to take the car back the next weekend for an engine light, that was something else. It was changed same day, price was again decent. What turns me off from here is what they told me about my brakes. Over a year ago they said my brake pads would need to be replaced down to 5% and I should schedule an appointment now to get it done. Yet where I took the car more recently (no brake pads work done) the pads are at 30% and doing good... They also take you in to talk about your car, which is fine, but doing what you find at a dealer, where they try to upsell you different services that are needed. Some of those services may very well be needed, don't get me wrong, but it is the typical mechanic/dealer up sell formula. The work was fine, the car wash at the end is nice, but unless I lived close by I would not take it in for any quick smaller services. read more
