I requested service for an engine misfire. Changing of the spark plugs and coils on an older car. Dealership price for parts is less than 200. Now this shop wants to charge me 1400 for this job with parts and labor. There is no way to justify this price. I did the math it's approximately an 250% markup They are essentially charging you more than 3x the market rate for this service. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

They have competitive pricing and are aggressive enough to match pricing below there estimates if given an opportunity. Today I took my vehicle for wheel alignments and opted for special that ensures alignments for life of vehicle for only $169.00 and can't beat that anywhere. Purchased Lifetime Alignment so I've been here a few times with various cars. I brought my 94 Celica in for that and a rotation/balance. The worker told me whoever did it last did a horrible job. I told that to the guys in the front desk since I've only ever done that work with the. They proceeded to scold the worker and threatened to fire him. They assured me the work was done correctly, but they didn't even personally look at the car. Today, I bring in my family van for the exact same job. They tell me it'll take 2 hours. I ask them about doing other work as well where they proceed to tell me it would still take 2 hours. There's 5 workers in the back, 2 cars up on lifts and they can't put me up there? I watch them work. They talk more than they work. The guys at the front desk walk to the garage area to talk and hang out with the workers. I had been taking my car here for my last few oil changes. A few days ago my car started acting up and the check engine light went off. I took the car to the dealer and they said whomever I had been taking my car to for oil changes had been stealing my money and not actually changing the oil! They literally showed me my oil was sludge thick consistency and super dark. They said it looked like I hadn't changed my oil in about two years, which is approximately how long I had been taking my car to this location. I got a coupon in the mail for $10 off an oil change and a free tire rotation from Tires Plus a couple of months ago and decided to check them out. They are located right off of 137th Avenue and 152nd Street, behind the Denny's. I asked for an oil change and tire rotation, and was told that it would be about an hour because they had other cars there. Almost two hours later I called to see what was taking so long and they let me know that my car was ready...they just forgot to call me. When I get there, I check the receipt and there's nothing about a tire rotation on it, so I asked and I was told that they, "forgot" to do the tire rotation but I could wait around for another hour to have it done. I'm giving this place 2 stars because they did the oil change and it was cheap (around $20), but I'm never going back. read more

Store #240059 Invoice 121143 3/12/2016 So I just bought a used SUV (2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor for dirt cheap) and it was making noise. I suspected it was the wheel bearing hub assembly. So I figured, lets take this baby to the shop, get a diagnostic, maybe an oil change, tire rotation. You know, I want to make sure this car doesn't break down on me. Israel takes care of me right away and recommends a complete vehicle inspection along with my standard oil change. Israel claims if they find anything wrong and I accept the quote, the $21.99 for the complete vehicle inspection would count towards the repair. I ask if tire rotation is included. Israel smiles and replies, "sure, we will rotate your tires." While signing the paper work, I give a friendly reminder not to forget the tire rotation and I write it down in pen on the work ticket and circle it after checking the box that says to keep and show me the old parts replaced. Israel, says with a smile "Thanks for reminding me. Don't worry, we will rotate them for you" Great I said, thanks. He takes my keys. Before leaving the shop, I spray paint green dots on both rear tires to make sure they get rotated. Israel calls me back 30 minutes later and recommends both rear bearings be replaced, and (left) inner and outer tie rods as well. An alignment service is also discussed. I ask for a discount, I calculate it would take me about 3-4 hours to do this job (minus alignment) in my driveway. I look up how much the parts cost at the Mitsubishi dealership. Figure I can do the work myself for about $370 cost of OEM parts. And save at least $700 but spend the time. After much thought, I decide to save myself the time and just pay for the work to be done at Tires Plus. About an hour later I get a call, your car is ready for pickup. Very impressed. Convenient and quick service. So I go pickup my SUV. I get approved for the credit card and save 10%. Flynn goes over the receipt with me and I notice wheel bearings are $279 each?? "He says they are not mitsubishi parts. So I ask are they some kind of high performance part? We did a part search and couldn't find any wheel bearing hub assembly for over $150. That mark up on parts is savage. What can I do, I already approved. I also see 4 hours of labor at $115 per hour. Its only been 2 hours tops since I dropped off the SUV. I swallowed hard and said fine. Can you show me what was done to the SUV? Flynn looks annoyed with me at this point and says the technicians that worked on my car are busy. I understand I said. I ask if my tires were rotated. Flynn says "yes." We walk out to the car and I can see the green dots are still on the rear tires. Flynn defends himself and says its checked on the ticket and 99% of the time its done. No hard feelings I said its not your fault. Can I see the parts that you replaced. Flynn shows me both wheel bearing hubs but not the tie rods. He says they must have thrown them out. But I checked the box that said to keep the parts so I could see them once replaced???? I walk to my SUV and crawl under it to look at the new shinny tie rod. Ok good they didn't forget to change the tie rod like they forgot the rotation. I pop my hood for the first time and notice the power steering hose is leaking and the valve cover gasket is also leaking oil. The car starts and makes a clicking noise....maybe a pulley. I ask why were these things overlooked??? Flynn says "Because they don't require immediate attention. You should have said you wanted a vehicle inspection before we started." I look at my invoice and noticed the $21.99 vehicle inspection I just performed, was charged to me. At that point I knew, it was a busy day at Tires plus and they had done the bare minimum to get a job done. No alignment print out either. Took my keys and ran I am grateful for the quick service Arnold & James provided, but I feel Israel raped me on the cost of parts and I am having trouble justifying $115 per hour (for 4 hours) labor charge when simple things like tire rotation, vehicle inspection, and alignment were rushed or completely overlooked and not performed. P.S. My car now pulls to the right (by the way). Unfortunately I will have to be back. After replacing the tie rod, perhaps alignment was also overlooked? See you guys soon. read more

Second time I go. Second car they completely fuck up and cost me 100's of dollars in damages. From a simple oil change. The first time was about 8 years ago. I went in for a routine oil change. They stuffed my dip stick into the pipe and didint tell me. So the next time I went to change it somewhere else. They told me I had no dipstick which was impossible. Only to find it pushed down the pipe. The second one, was a week ago. Didint learn my lesson apparently and went for a oil change. When I went for another oil change somewhere else. They tightened the bolt so hard they destroyed my oil pan. 545$ to fix it. If I went any longer my engine would of been destroyed. This place should be shut down. read more

I just left there, there was no one in the office and the phone was ringing off the hook. I saw someone sitting at a computer in the garage area listening to the phone ring off the hook. The person on the phone hung up and then called back and it was joined by another line ringing and the employee finally answered one line begrudgingly hung up after a minute and a half and left the other line ringing. The entire time I was there I was not acknowledged by anyone. While in their office area I called firestone and my call was answered immediately I was told to bring my car over and I was acknowledged immediately when I arrived. What a difference. read more

I've had my share of untrustworthy mechanics that are constantly trying to add more work to your car than you initially came in for. These guys are are nowhere near that. I've been a costumer for over 3 years. What I immediately recognized was there willingness to explain fully what your car needs, why and show you any piece that might need replacing. They are a bit pricey so -1 star for that but I guess when you're a chain that's to be expecting. At least you know the parts that they are installing are brand new and didn't come off some broken down car at the junk yard. read more

I only needed two tires changed. They insisted on selling me four because there was a special on my tires but I didn't buy in to it. They then tried to add an alignment without me asking for it and then after I asked them to take it off they charged me $42 for labor! All the money that I had "saved" went back in the labor! Do not go to this place! Take your business somewhere else! Customer service sucks. I went in to get tires changed into new rims. We did up a contract and was told 2 hours. I was fine with that. A few minutes later A worker came and got me so I could show him how to get the new rims out of my truck. Two hours goes by, I go to check on my truck, and they only balanced one tire. None of the work that I came in for was completed. My tires were supposed to be balanced after the rims got switched out. Nothing was done. I took my car in for a balancing, they told me it would be done in about 1.5 hours. 2.5 hours later they call me and tell me they can't do a balancing because 2 of my tires are "cupping" and my other two tires are beginning to wear out and I would need to pay between $700 and $900 for 4 brand new tires and the alignment. I asked if they could just replace the 2 cupping tires and I'll purchase new ones for the ones wearing later on. They said they can't do that but maybe they can work a deal on the price of the 4 tires. I told them I would shop around and get a second opinion, the guy at the store seemed mad, didn't explain why they couldnt do the service or what they could've offered me. I went to this establishment yesterday because I had a flat tire or punctured rubber. My boyfriend took it in the morning to be fixed and I came in in the afternoon passed 4 PM to pick it up. When i got there I was told my car was ready but I wasn't going to be charged because rather than having just a flat tire what I needed was to change the two frontal tires. It sound a little bit weird because i JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR with only 5k miles on it, not accident on record not nothing. Still the guy insisted that I needed new tires. Long story short, when i got to my car I noticed that the tire was STILL flat and went back in. The guy who talked to me early told me that they had fixed and that what I was needing was the tires as he told me before. He was going to give me a special price for it if I decided to buy it right there. Luckily enough, I called my boyfriend and consulted it with him. We decided that we were going to take the car to another place. Gladly we did. We took it to Firestone and they were able to fix the flat tire in less than 15 min, check the car and all. They told me there was no need for new tires... I feel like Tire Plus did nothing to fix my car, on the contrary, they saw me, a young girl who knows nothing about cars or mechanic and tried to steal from me.
