So I ordered this almond drink and it didn't taste super great but it was definitely jam packed with a lot of nutrition. I didn't actually do the cleanse so it's hard for me to say to much on that but a lot of people I know participated in this challenge. For the first cleanse they recommend you to do the one day cleanse. From what I hear it's relatively do-able, but the longer you do it the more of a struggle it becomes. I've been wanting to try a juice cleanse for a while now. They finally opened a location closer to me and they had a special. $39.50/day for 6 juices and 2 waters (chlorophyll and aloe). I did a 3-day cleanse 1. I was scared I would be starving/hangry, but it definitely wasn't the case. If I can do it, anyone can! I was never hungry throughout the entire cleanse. You drink the first one in the morning and then the following ones every two hours. The almond milk at the start and end of the day were very filling. All the drinks were tasty so it made it so much easier to do the cleanse. Sometimes I found it hard to even drink the next juice because I wasn't even hungry yet. Anyhow, after the cleanse, I noticed I had no inclination towards eating junk or sweets that I usually do. It was weird. I looooove sweets... And junk food! I wasn't used to seeing sweets in front of me, and leaving it alone! This was the best thing about the cleanse. I felt like it reset my body. I liked the cleanse so much I decided to do it again the following week. Only this time I did a 2-day cleanse. So my best friend and I went to Seattlr for a week...we got back and needed a serious detox...we ate anything and everything...got back to home town and found Pressed Juicery. We both picked up the 1-Day Cleanse for beginners. It includes 6 juices and 2 waters. We were instructed to drink a juice every two hours and a gallon of water throughout the day. And the water they provided throughout the day was an added benefit. I felt so good the next day... The cleanse was gentle and all the juices were very good. Cold pressed juice is LIFE. I kid you not, I crave green juice first thing in the morning. There's nothing like twisting open a bottle of Pressed Juicery's green juice and taking that first blissful sip. Mm. I've actually never been to their other locations but I'm a fan of this one located inside the Indiana Colony, which is right next to Intelligentsia on Colorado Blvd. Follow them on Instagram or sign up for their online newsletters for spectacular juice deals from time to time. We all know these thing$ add up. I've done all three of their cleanses and I always feel so much better mentally and physically at the end of each day. Let the juices do their thing, ignore the temporary cravings, and allow yourself to be more mindful of the effect of nutrient-rich ingredients. I've gotta admit--Clease 3, which they advertise as the "most intense and lowest calorie cleanse" and which they recommend for experienced cleansers, is, in fact, intense. Greens 4 is a killer; I hated it but I still powered through drinking it. Every cleanse ends with an almond drink aka ICE CREAM in a bottle. This will be THE drink you look forward to after a seemingly long day of chugging juice all day. Rich with protein and overall creamy goodness. My personal nut milk favourite is the Brazil Nut. Such a vibrant green! Just give me all the greens stat! I'll take it all, please and thanks. The Vanilla and Chocolate Almond Drinks are also top-notch. Some other quick favourites: Greens 3, Roots 1, Roots 3, Citrus 2, Chlorophyll H2O, & Greens 2 (this, I believe, is everyone's fave so if you're new to green juices, try this out first!) I came to Pressed Juicery on a weekday and the place was pretty empty. I have to say that the shop is a little hard to find though.. it's actually within a shop and inside the shop there are a lot of restaurants/shops and the pressed juicery is one of them. When I got here I came for a one day juice cleanse. The prices in stores are actually cheaper than online. I paid $39 for the juice cleanse plus two bottles of the waters (chlorophyll and aloe vera) whereas online I believe it's $49 for just the juice cleanse and additional if you wanted the two bottles of water. So I'd definitely recommend calling beforehand to see if there are any price differences before you decide to order online and pick up. I also purchased the strawberry, lime, and apple juice ($6.5-$6.95) which I thought was good, but a bit sour. Overall, the customer service is great and everything is clean and packaged nicely. If you're looking for a juice cleanse and don't mind the cost I'd definitely recommend coming to pressed juicery. read more

I'm on my final day of my 3-day juice cleanse. I have to say Pressed Juicery has made it so easy for me to do this cleanse. Every day: 1. Greens 2 2. Roots 3 3. Greens 1 4. Citrus 3 5. Roots 3 6. Vanilla Almond 7. Chlorophyll Water 8. Aloe Vera Water And I drink a lot of water in between. For each day, it's $48.50 which is SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN ANY OTHER JUICE PLACE I'VE BEEN TO. Eight drinks for that much?! Insane. I'm feeling good. I can't have coffee with the cleanse. So I've been doing ok. I'm only doing three days this month and then next month, I'll do five days. I have had the urge to eat solid foods but I'm ok. Just gotta keep drinking. If you're still hungry, just keep drinking water or more juice. I worked out during the cleanse was the juice was not enough. I just had to drink more water and sucked it up. But this is a great place to start. They really cater to your taste buds and goals. We were there slightly after 9pm. We were thinking of buying some juices as there was no sign indicating they'd been closed (it locates in a common area where there are some other shops opening late). Since the light was on, and there was a girl checking on the iPad, I thought they were open. So we were trying to pick out what We wanted. After several minutes, the girl lifted up her gaze and said to us: we are closed. And that's it. No more explanation, no apology, no 'come back tomorrow'... Nothing, just went back to her iPad. Oh well, we didn't know that. But what 'closed' really meant was that she was off duty and needed finishing calculating the money and left. I don't know how much trouble it would cost to sell several more bottles, but I think there should be at least 'sorry, come back tomorrow'. It might be she had a long day and needed to go home asap. Woohoo! After completing my 23rd straight days of their juice cleanse program, I am feeling rejuvenated and like a brand new person ready to take on the world. No more feeling sluggish and weak for me. I am full of energy and healthier than I've been in years all thanks to Pressed Juicery. I know many of you are thinking, "what?!? 23 days? awww heck no!" but I can confidently assure you that hesitation is just self-imposed mental limitation versus you you actually not physically being able to do it. Here's the truth from my experience... Day 1 - You've made a commitment to start a juice cleanse, so the first day you don't really feel much need to eat mentally or physically. Day 2 to 3 - You probably start to feel some cravings, but that's really you missing the social routine of eating. Physically, you're likely not all that hungry but rather you miss the experience of eating solids. Hang in there :) Day 4 and so on - I call this getting over the 3rd day hump, which is always the toughest for anybody to get past when juicing. Once you get past day 3 you start to think less about wanting to eat, you're body/mind have adjusted, and you realize that you're starting to feel good. My initial plan was to go for 5 days of cleansing, but at the end of that I realized I felt good and decided to keep it going for another 3. I monitored myself on how I felt and kept going until 23 days because it became normal where I didn't feel the need to eat and I was feeling better, faster, and stronger (Kanye West/Daft Punk reference lol). Of course you get cravings here and there when you go out with friends and they're eating, but again that's all in your head and not your stomach. Everybody is different, but I am confident anybody can do it especially if I can. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to the crew at Pressed Juicery Pasadena for always cheering me on, educating me, and supporting my juicing cleanse journey whenever I came in to pick up more. You're the best!!! Green juices are my life now. I make them at home, buy them at the market, at my gym, down the street, at your mom's, wherever there's green juice, I'm there. I tried Pressed Juicery in Weho before and really liked their blends. They're not too sweet, not too bland, they're just right. I also think that they're reasonably priced. Cheaper than Blue Print, about the same as Earth Bar's, but taste much better. I'm actually going to try their cleanse this week since I ate too much MSG-filled Asian food for Mother's Day. How the heck does this place only have a one $ rating?? I mean, it's definitely cheaper than other juice places in Pasadena, but c'mon now...it still involves forking over a lot of money for juice that is cold pressed and not freshly made to order. Pros: -Ask to sample the juices -Friendly service -After every 10 visits you get a free juice (if you give them your phone number)! -They have watermelon juice, which I forever love Cons: -ALL of their green juices contain either cucumber or cilantro. PS: this place is in the same "shop" as pie hole and cool haus. I had a bit of trouble finding it *price I paid $145 (ish) - since i picked it up - price online includes delivery *I did not care about the price I was more concerned with the taste and selection since my theory is, if it doesnt taste good, it doesnt matter if i paid more or less, I wouldnt drink it and it'd be a waste anyways. For a while now I have been wanting to try a cleanse. The problem was which one now that there are so many of these juiceries everywhere. I decided on pressed because I've always liked their selections and tastes whenever I would get one of their juices. I did the cleanse 1 which was a mix of greens, roots, citrus, and protein nut milks along with the chlorophyll water and aloe water. the employee was super friendly and allowed me to try all the different ones I'm allowed to choose from for my package and I think i wanted to try everything because I know that if i didnt like the taste, I wouldnt drink it so I wanted to be SURE. She packaged everything up and explained to me the instructions for the cleanse. The ones I chose were: Greens 5: which was a little bit more green than the other ones because it has so many ingredients but it really doesnt taste that bad, it's rather refreshing Greens 3: This one was really good. Anything with pineapple mixed with greens makes it taste 10x better Citrius 1,2, &3: I got one of each of the choices for the citrus portion. I loved them all. they were very easy to drink. Warning though if you arent a big fan of grapefruit or tart fruit, dont get the Citrus 3 since it's JUST Grapefruit and mint. But I liked them all! Roots 1: I didnt particularly like the roots. I felt like i had to hold my breath and down it but I think i have a distaste for beets and Roots 1 was a bit spicy but there's no ginger so i'm not sure where the spiciness came from. But this roots tastes better than other places i've tried. (my cousin loves their roots) Nut Protein: Regular Almond Milk and Chocolate almond Milk: Both tasted amazing although I preferred the regular to the chocolate (surprising since i love chocolate milk) they both tasted like milkshakes in a bottle. LOve them Brazilian Nut: Tasted soooo good, it's green but it's amazing It's a must try! Chlorophyll water: THeir chlorophyll water is amazing, it looks REALLY GREEN but it's amazing. It doesnt taste like much and it's really refreshing, i'm actually craving one right now and aside from the benefits of it, I kind of want it for everyday. If you follow Pressed on Instagram you will be privy to all sortsa great deals (two for ones, etc etc.) The staff at the Pasadena location were nice, not snooty like my previous encounter at the Juice in Atwater Village. They answered the questions I had (mainly...are they still doing the 2 for 1 Watermelon mint juice?!) They signed me up for a frequent buyer program. My juice came out to about $6.50 for a two for one deal! The location is easy to miss so look a little harder, Pressed Juicery is a stand in a big room, basically, along with the Pie Hole, Cool Haus and a lovely flower shop. I was coming in through the back alley (haha) and got confused because there was only a sign for the pie hole, no really signs back there about where Pressed Juicery was. Well, it is $1 cheaper than the $9 juices at that other place. Maybe the extra $1 is for the glass bottle. I don't know. But this is in a really cool and spacious spot that is right by Intelligensia Coffee. The space houses the Cool Haus ice cream sandwiches and the Pie (savory and sweet) place. There are some cool seating areas, very minimalistic and roomy, and good seating outside in the front as well. And you can use the internet from Intelligensia. i shouldn't put that on here. But community loving, right? They were out of the vanilla sig. blend, so I got the chocolate almond/date one. It was very dessert-like and indulgent. Tastes like what chocolate almond milk usually tastes like. Or maybe the chocolate soy milk I used to drink - I can't remember. But it was good. I will definitely be back to try the other juices. My co-workers and I (4 of us) decided that we needed something to jumpstart healthier habits (mostly EATING!) so we decided to do the 3-day cleanse here because they were having a special for $39/day. I called the morning of our first day at 745am and a nice girl answered the phone. I told her I needed to order 4 3-day cleanses. She was happy to help out and even though it was a lot of work to read out all the orders, she was very sweet and patient. My husband was on his way to pick up the order while I was placing the order on the phone. Once he arrived they had all juices packed in a bag. Each bag was packed with a full day of juices, a chlorophyll water and aloe water . So it made it very easy!! I was worried because my husband had no idea what he was picking up so the way they packed it was perfect. She had the credit card slip out and ready for him to sign so he could be on his way. A nice guy from the Juicery also helped him out to the car with a cart because our order was so large. (96 16oz bottles!!!) He was on his way within less than 5-10 minutes. We are mid day in our cleanse on the first day right now. All of the juices so far taste very fresh. We are all really pleased. I also wanted to mention that the website is very informative. Actual rating: 4.5 stars I've been interested in doing a 3 day juice cleanse and I saw that Pressed Juicery was having a 4 bottles for $20 sale during MDW. Sunday: 4 stars to the lady cashier who helped me. She wasn't as knowledgeable as I would have hoped (didn't know the nutrition content of each juice, and she could have just pulled each juice out and looked on the back) and she kept messing up on the math. Additionally, I later found out that she gave me one of the wrong juices and I had to make a second trip back. Despite this, she was able to get me an even better deal than I had hoped. After some careful manipulation of 2 of the one day cleanse packages (she gave me 8 bottles of juice per cleanse instead of 6 and 2 waters) + 4 bottles/$20 + extra 25% discount off one cleanse package from joining their members club, I ended up paying $80.25 for 20 juices (which is the equivalent to a 3 day cleanse + 2 extra juices). Monday: Started my 3 day cleanse, and I realized that two of the juices I had sampled and picked (Greens 2 and Roots 2) were just WAY too sweet. This problem may have been avoided if I had been shown the nutrition content while in the store the previous day. These juices were difficult to drink and my body was not responding well to the sugar. I also realized that I was given a Greens 3 instead of a Greens 2. Tuesday: I called the store to see if I could go in to switch out the mistaken juice, and they said it was not a problem. I figured that it wouldn't hurt to also try to switch out the ones that were too sweet. The guy who helped me just asked if they were opened and when I bought them. And then he let me switch my seven bottles to Greens 1 and Roots 1 no problem! I was in and out of there in under a minute. 5 stars to him. Some general tips: Park in the structure on Raymond and Green, as everyone else has said. First 90 minutes free. If you're planning on doing a 3 day cleanse, bring a friend to help you carry the bags of juice. HEAVY. Look at their website beforehand to see the nutrition content and get a better idea of what you want. Had I done this, I could have easily eliminated all the juices with fruit for being too sweet. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I never knew juice could be so good, it's just juice right? Now I actually crave certain juices (Greens 1.5!). And theyre so healthy, they help with all sorts of ailments. I had the pleasure of being served by Brianna and Elise, and they told me so much! The grapefruit mint is good for heart burn. And it's super delicious (definitely my second favorite). Second time trying them out but first time at this store. I just got done with my 7-mile run from the rose bowl stadium and what better way to hydrate and replenish than to enjoy a cold-pressed juice. I yelped and found this place close by. I hunted for them a bit since the store is tucked inside a small place with a few other stores. I was just looking at their menu while another guest was being accommodated but Nikko greeted me. I asked for samples of the signature selection and he was very happy to let me try some. I ended trying all of the 4 and loved the brazilian nut!!! Price wise, it was affordable indeed. My drink wasn't anything ordinary for the price I paid. It was very well blended and I am pretty picky on juices and smoothies because I have a decent background in the culinary world and I make a bunch of them myself at home.
