This pharmacy has become shockingly unprofessional, and today's experience was the breaking point. I am genuinely stunned by how consistently poor the customer service is -- especially from the especially rude cashier, Jackie -- and even more stunned that the owners clearly know about it, based on the many reviews describing the exact same behavior. I needed my doctor's office to release a prescription in the system. Jackie told me to call back once it was fixed. I did exactly that... and was hung up on. I assumed it was a mistake, so I called again -- only to have the phone picked up and immediately hung up. This happened five times in a row. When she finally answered, I asked why she would do that. Her response: "I don't know." I told her I would be escalating the issue and she replied, calmly and flatly, "Ok, go ahead." No concern, no apology, no sense of accountability. The attitude was honestly bizarre -- as if she knows there will be no consequences. After reading other reviews going back years, it seems this is a pattern, not an exception. It is shocking that a pharmacy -- where professionalism matters -- is allowing this to continue. I've used this pharmacy on and off for 30 years, and the decline in the last few years has been dramatic. The reported owner, Charlie, has also never returned a call in my experience. We have a 13 year old tea cup Chihuahua with reactive airway disease and mitral valve disease. We asked her cardiologist to transfer her compounded medications to the compounding pharmacy inside The Prescription Center in Concord. This used to be Bedford Pharmacy. We happily used Bedford Pharmacy in the past for compounded meds for our cats. This time around we've had a few issues. They tell us their texting app will let us know when meds are ready. We signed up. No texts received. We had to call. At that point we were told the app is super slow. Sure enough, days after we already picked up the meds it texted to say they were ready. Despite this we were managing via phone calls. However on the 26th of December we called in and used the automated refill line to request more of her Lasix, furosemide, a diuretic. We did this far enough in advance that they would have time to refill despite the holidays, and we would not run out until January 5th. We heard NOTHING. I called in on. January 2 and was told with Christmas and New Year they were backed up several days and would not have it ready until January 8. Ok, I understand. But a phone call to notify me they would not be refilling the med in time would have been very appropriately professional. I called MASSVET and had all of our dog's meds refilled there, except one because there are still two refills available with The Prescription Center. It is worth it to me to have to drive to Woburn MA to pick up her meds because they will be ready on time. I am not going to risk my dog developing congestive heart failure by running out of her Lasix because The Prescription Center failed to fill the refill in a timely manner and failed to notify me they would not succeed. Other than this important issue, The Prescription Center is fine. It is clean and neat inside, the staff are friendly, the parking in the rear of the building is ample. Perhaps if I give them three weeks notice for a refill they would succeed. I will never know because I won't risk our dog's health. read more

they started by sending my cats medicine every month around the same time, we would get a text it got sent out and everything. Now I have to call every month to fill the prescription which isn't a big deal. However one time they did NOT give me enough medicine and said something about it being made up from another animal who uses the same medicine. Ever since I have had to use a lot less medicine towards the end of the month before I can fill his prescription. Because it is a controlled substance i cannot get it any sooner. Sometimes they will send it out on time one month, then the next i assume they will send out soon and then i'm screwed with no medicine because I call and they haven't even started it even though the months before it was at my house far before the date of this month. After being a loyal customer for over 20 yrs, the manager in the Memorial building refused to fill my prescription for a 90-day supply stating that they lose too much money. I have COPD and don't go out a lot because of that and the risk of Covid. After telling him that I only come here because I always have and could go anywhere his reply was, he didn't care. With that type of mentality, I don't see how this place can survive. Parking is very difficult, and they only have 2 spots for the pharmacy. Prescription Center used to be good. Unfortunately, not anymore, things have changed and it's sad to see local business provide such a poor costumer service. Employees are not helpful at all, when you ask them to check on something they are not willing to do that, I'm sorry but it looks like laziness to me, and they become upset that you as a costumer are asking them, or they find excuses why they are not able to provide the information you are asking for. Be very wary of this Pharmacy, especially the location on Main Street in Concord. I have a medication that was called on 12/21/20 with 3 refills. When I went to call it in for the refill, I was told there were no refills left. So my husband took the bottle up to the pharmacy to show them. The bottle says I have 3 refills available before the end of March 2021. It was then the pharmacist told my husband that all refills are wiped out at the end of the year, and all doctors have to call all their patients refills' back into the pharmacy on January 1st. This policy seems like something they should disclose up front so customers can take care of this before the end of the year. I was unable to find this policy anywhere on their website. read more

Nice people but sold me a blood pressure cuff that doesn't work. 125.00 and when discussed they said that that's all they have too offer. They sold me a product that doesn't work and just shrugged me off. First, they blew my first phone call and weeks later I called them back. When they got back to me they said they said that's all they have to sell me Yep. Selling broken products that don't work. No reason to ever do business with them. Concord Hospital should be ashamed to do business with them. Also, when I contacted the manufacturer. They said I could get a new one for 39.95 bs the 125.00 that I was charged. I have been going to this pharmacy for the past 2 yrs. I have always been greeted with a smile from one of front pharmacy techs. It does not matter if I had called in my prescription, or hand delivered a new prescription into the store, I DO NOT have to wait FOREVER to receive my prescription. I am also happy to say, I HAVE NOT once had a issue with being given the incorrect medication and/or dosage. Another nice perk at the North Main St. location is their Natural Pharmacy. There is a wonderful Natural Pharmacy Consultant who will sit down and help you with natural pharmacy questions, including drug/herb interactions and drug nutrient concerns as well finding the best program for your particular needs. The Natural Pharmacy offers: Bone Density Screening Tests for Osteoporosis, Organics for the Holidays , Natural and/or Organic Vitamins, Minerals & Herbs, Homeopathy, and Natural Cosmetics. My pet Fenway sadly has an inoperable scc tumor on the bottom of her tongue. Bedford Pharmacy has been compounding her pain and anti-inflammatory medications throughout this process. They have various pet flavors they can add to the medication. Fenway seems to prefer the seafood flavor the most. The pharmacy has called to make sure there's no medication questions snd check-in on her. They even sent her, it was addressed to Fenway not me hehe, a card in the mail when we started going there. It was from the head pharmacist thanking us for our business and encouraging us to call if we ever need any assistance. What a nice touch! I highly recommend this pharmacy! read more

I was having trouble getting my prescription from my mail order pharmacy to a point where I was out of medication. I called the prescription center and spoke to Michael (one of the owners) he was quickly able to get my prescription transfered and filled with no fuss, and with a cheaper price. I am updating this review because pharmacy contacted me (still not sure how they found out my situation - online review? - because they have NO customer service contact number/email listed to assist customers, which is INSANELY important when running a business of any kind.) After actually listening to my insulting experience and giving me an explanation - without excusing those involved (important) - and offering a perfect gesture for same-day delivery of my prescription and future discount, the horrible situation was smoothed over in my mind. I only wish they would have an actual customer service dept - either phone or email so if and when these situations arise (and they do, we're all human) you can give voice to concerns and get them resolved without having to go to outside review sites to air such horrible grievances. Just feels like another company chintzing-out trying to save a nickel by doing away with this important part of doing business - or forcing other departments to take on these tasks thereby not giving it the full attention it needs. You're in a service industry with many, many more options where I can take my my business. After using them for several years, Bedford Pharmacy, never informed us of their move to concord. They had our prescriptions for 6 days. I Called multiple times over a period of days until I reached someone, who blamed lack of response to my voicemails on their move to Concord. My son was out of his meds for 4 days. Totally unacceptable.. Was told they'd be couriered to our house and that didn't happen. Called and talked to Manager (by the way she was nice and the only one that apologized) and she said she'd personally give them to the driver and it would be delivered that day between 3-3:30pm. I called at 4:30pm (when it wasn't delivered ) and was told the prescription didn't make it in his vehicle ( it was still in Concord). So twice I was told it would be couriered and it didn't happen.. Lack of customer care is so concerning especially when it's needed medicine. Totally appalling. How can a business responsible for filling something as important as prescriptions not send an email, text, or make a phone call - they have all of our contact information to inform us that they were moving. The manager told me there was a huge sign in their lobby. This is comical as I was told I had to call when I get to the pharmacy and they bring it out to me in the parking lot ( this happened shortly after covid), so I haven't been in their lobby since April. I tried to support a local pharmacy - I guess that support doesn't go both ways. I've asked twice from a call from the owner and that hasn't happened. read more

The only place that I have been to that sent me a card afterwards. They do this for all new customers; classy. The pricing is on par with any other pharmacy, sometimes better. The staff is extremely helpful, and went out of their way to help me with my dogs medication. They seem to be able to make anything. They do have mandatory counseling for all prescriptions, which I appreciated. I watched a show recently, highlighting how big pharmacies have you "sign" the pad saying you got your prescription, but you are really signing away your right to a council. I also felt better supporting a local business, than a chain pharmacy. Definitely recommend you do the same if you live locally. read more

The Prescription Center on Main St. in Concord has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I would never recommend them to anyone. If I ever dare to question the cost of a prescription they throw their hands in the air and say, and I quote, "I don't know what to tell you. That is what your insurance told us to charge you". They don't even bother to check to see if maybe there is a mistake or even to check to see if the cost of the medicine has changed. They just wash their hands of it and they don't even seem to care.
