As soon we enter to the store, many ladies came to offer help and so politely. When we went to register to pay the cashier that took care was a very nice lady and when we were finishing the process another cashier came on the side to another register and start to be rude to us. I had a very disappointing experience at bath & body works at Manchester in New Hampshire Mall. The cashier was extremely rude to both me and my sister. While we were still gathering our items and trying to complete our purchase, she seemed impatient and tried to push us aside to help another customer. Instead of politely asking us to step aside or giving us a moment to finish, she argued with me and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed front other customers. Good customer service requires patience and respect, and unfortunately, neither was shown during our visit. I have always enjoyed shopping at Bath & bath works, but this interaction left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses this issue and provides additional customer service training so other customers do not have a similar experience. For sure I will think twice before step to the store again.

Anyway as far as the gentleman behind the counter, as some in previous review pointed out, that he is in fact a good guy. Does he have a dry sense of humor at times sure. I don't think he's intentional trying to be adversarial. I think it's just because we are who we are type thing . I think sometimes he may just come off that way because most of the time I would assume that none of us know the people that we're standing across from at a convenience store and so it can be hard to differentiate between someone being a jerk and not because we've only known them for 20 seconds. The food is fresh and there are a lot of options--even specialty items. The ice cream aisle has everything from known brands to little creameries. You can buy auto gear, makeup, meat, wine and gardening supplies in one visit, and of course fill a prescription. I like that it's near the library, fire department and close to the post office. I was in the neighborhood getting gas at the BJ's when I realized I needed some water for my trip, so I drive across the street to this grocery store to get my water. The store is very roomy...like their produce section is very spread out making shopping a real pleasure...the aisles all over the store are also very wide and very well kept. It was a nice shopping experience...I would say it felt more like an upscale neighborhood market than a Stop & Shop type store.

With that said, similar to another person who posted a message due to showing up close to closing, and being rude, they will not receive another penny from me moving forward. Between Jewel Pods, Cigarettes, Ice Cream, Soda, and Wine, that revenue is now going to be spent with the Chester Store vs. Sandown (3-400 a month). Breaks my heart that I am giving the revenue to a surrounding town, but it is what it is. Hope it was worth it.
