It is an old saw, or should be, that a great restaurant can be found anywhere -- no limits. And this restaurant in a small town provided us with an unexpectedly fantastic meal. We had two salads, steak, Brussels sprouts, a burger and dessert. All were at least as good as we ever had. The burger was the best I had in well over a decade. The set up is unusual but works really well: menu is on one wall, the wine list is on the other. Simple, effective. We ordered a PK burger and my adult children ordered crispy tofu. Both my wife and I thought that it was the worst hamburger we ever had. It was covered with soggy caramelized onions and served with a red sauce that we thought tasted horrible. We also ordered house fries, which were delicious, but we didn't care for the tarragon aioli. We had to ask for ketchup for the fries. My children could barely eat the tofu. It was prepared well, but neither of them could stand the sauce on them (they make this dish at home with a garlic, chili sauce, so it sounded good), but they couldn't bear the taste of the sauce. Finally, besides the fries, the staff were the other bright spot of the meal. Friendly and helpful. I likely will not eat here again unfortunately. read more

We loved this place. It's not often we find a nicer place that agrees with the two teenage boys. The menu options were fun and interesting, service was great. After reading reviews, we tried the bone marrow and we are still talking about it today....amazing! I would go out of my way to eat at this restaurant again. We were in red lodge spontaneously and looking for a place to grab dinner. The great reviews drew us to prerogative kitchen and it did not disappoint! My only complaint is the seating- there isn't much of it and you can place your order without realizing you may not have a great spot to sit. We ended up back in the lounge area at first but when a table cleared the people up front let us know so we could move. Otherwise I like the a la carte style and all of the food we got was very tasty. Plus the art and atmosphere were adorable. Everything from the menu to the wine display was set up beautifully. My table split burrata and cheese bread which were both good. I loved the refreshing grapefruit paired with the burrata. Then I got the risotto sliders for my dinner and i thought it was a unique spin on a veggie burger. Everyone else at the table liked their entrees as well (pappardelle and the burger). A wonderful little restaurant with a delicious and quite unique menu. I had the " pork belly" w/Szechuan & huckleberry and a small PK salad that has; spring mix, apple, apricot, cucumber, radish and cinnamon vinaigraitte. So tasty. Cannot get enough of this place!!! If you have one night in red lodge stop here for dinner because it for sure will not disappoint. A foodies paradise- set up for shareable plates and larger if you just aren't in the sharing mood! This restaurant has some of the best street food I think I have ever had and that's saying a lot! Try their risotto and lamb sliders they are to die for menu staples! Other than that their menu is constantly changing with seasonal ingredients and by far everything I've ever tried is awesome! Currently vibe is take out only which I have to give props to for corona but if you happen to eat in after the pandemic make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert! We are from San Francisco and this place would rank up there if it was in California. This is a GEM in the downtown section of Red Lodge. The decor and little thoughtful touches are noticed everywhere...even in the bathroom. As for the food, A+. The presentation, taste and service from the cooks and waitress/hostess from Bulgaria were second to none. We had the Bone-In Pork-chop, Grilled Asparagus, Cheese Bread, Fries and the Burger. My other gripe is with the plates my food was served on. I got a burger served to me on a cutting board. I got fries served to me in a bag which was then placed in a bowl. Really cute place, this was our first time visiting. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. Menu posted on the wall; you order at the front and they seat you at a table and bring everything out to you. No reservations accepted, but it was only about a 2 minute wait for a table on a Friday night. Prices really reasonable; we ordered a bunch of items a la carte and shared: marinated olives, arugula salad, sweet and sour shrimp, roasted carrots. Also ordered a couple beers. Delicious! It has a different set up than we are used to but that made it unique. We had a party of 8 and most of us shared the 28oz ribeye, risotto sliders, Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and the meat and cheese trays. It was all delicious. The ribeye came with fries and truffle carrots those were very good. It also had a salad that had almost a cinnamon dressing! The highlight though was the sticky toffee pudding. I had to guard it from my friends. It's a little more spendy but not more than I would expect to pay at a place like this.
