    Ribeye perfectly medium-rare with Potatoes!
    Jonathan L.

The visitor center at Red Lodge really hyped this place up for us!! The restaurant was about 15 mins from Red Lodge. When we arrived, unfortunately, They didn't have the two steak dishes we were looking forward to order here...! The Bison Ribeye and Prime Rib (which sources seem to mention the most). We ordered a few glasses of wine and they were a bit flat here. We ordered the Filet and regular Ribeye. Though the Filet was OK, the Ribeye was extremely flavorful... I have added a photo to spotlight it! It was a perfect medium-rare and the amount of salt was perfect. Perhaps we'll be back in the future for Pig Races as well! They took COVID-19 very seriously; we saw them wipe down every seat and edges of the table after guests finished their meal and left.

a plate of food and a knife

I'm extremely picky about food. Especially steak. 10/10 absolutely hands down THE BEST dinner I've had in a long time. Says a lot when I finished my dinner before my husband. We were in Montana on vacation and picked this place by looking on Google maps at food places around. Best choice ever!! Only thing I'd change is having a vegetable served with the meal.

Dinner starts at 5 and racing starts at 7

So if you find yourself passing through Bearcreek Montana you must go for dinner and pig racing. YES pig racing! So the building is old and the town is probably smaller than your bathroom but you got to do it. The menu is simple with only 3 or so offerings of steaks. If you didn't know, Wyoming and Montana are known for their angus beef. This place has an exceptional filet mignon. The best part is the fact that they know how to cook a steak. So if you order rare, don't be surprised when your steak is actually cooked rare. All of the steaks are served with a baked potato and salad. All are healthy portions. Oh yeah and get this they serve Tobin James "ballistic" wine too...( this wine is one of my fav's and the winery is in Paso Robles, CA) The wait staff is good. But you must check out the bathrooms. I won't give away the secret but check twice before you enter. So after a satisfying meal you go out back for real life sanctioned pig racing. Pig racing was an idea that was implemented many years ago. All of the proceeds go to funding scholarships for local kids to help pay for college. You will love the names of the little racing pigs....Boss Hawg, Porky's and jimmy dean. Have family fun and a good meal in a super small town in America....priceless!

To go order or crab with potato and Greek salad.

Best cooked steak I've had in a long time. The pig racing was so entertaining! I'm excited to come back in the future and bring my family!

The special event was pig races which I wish we had time to stay and watch but could hear the fun and excitement.

The crust was solid, ingredients tasted fresh, and everything fit the casual mountain-town atmosphere. It's the kind of place that works well for a relaxed stop while walking around town or grabbing something quick after a day out. The ice cream side is a nice bonus and adds to the experience, especially if you're with family or just want dessert after pizza. Overall, a fun spot with good pizza and a memorable setup that makes it more than just a standard pizza place.

The appetizers and entrées all came out at the same time. When we politely asked our server Kaitlin R. about it, she responded, "That's how the kitchen works." She then added that she personally wouldn't have brought them out at the same time, but since another server had already done so, she would have simply left our entrées sitting under the warmer while we ate our appetizers. Rather than addressing the concern professionally, she became defensive and dismissive. When we attempted to explain why we were unhappy, the server interrupted and asked, "Can I help you, or are you just going to keep talking?" This was incredibly rude and disrespectful. A manager eventually came to our table and offered to take something off our bill. We declined because we were not looking for free food or a discount. We simply wanted management to understand how unprofessional the interaction had been and to address the issue. After that conversation, nobody checked on our table for the remainder of our meal. Once we were finished eating, a different server approached us and, we asked for our bill. I asked the server if we could get a receipt at which point the server said, "yes" and then I said an itemized receipt. At this point, the server responded saying that's what a receipt is and turned to my husband and said "I'm ready for you to pay," and my husband responded saying we asked for an itemized receipt. The server walked away and came back and slammed a receipt on the table. It was at this point she told us that we were "a restaurant's worst nightmare." We had remained calm, respectful, and simply voiced concerns about both the service and the way we were spoken to. I responded by saying "wow," paid our tab and left. Everyone makes mistakes, and food timing issues can happen. What should never happen is customers being treated with disrespect for bringing concerns to the staff's attention. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy made this one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the way customers are treated when they have a concern.
