It's a good place to get a beer after a day of hiking, fishing, or shopping in Red Lodge. It's not for everybody, but it's great for those who want to show down to Montana speed. What I would not have guessed before walking in, New Atlas is super clean and nice. Though it's old, you would never know it. The bar's front facade is classic. Walk under the awning/sign and through the front door, past the gaming room, and into the main bar. The bar itself is to your left, and there are several high top tables to the left. The floor is a beautiful well-worn wood, and the ceiling is painted, maybe copper, tile. Of course, there dead animals all over the place, and that is just cool. No idea how they keep them free of dust, but they do. The actual bar is absolutely incredible. It's what every bar should look and feel. The bar has a dark wooden bar top with a small rail resting on a bar face with decorated dividers and a slow curve. Below the bar face is a large box footrest. Now for my favorite part, the bar face. There are three beautiful arches, divided by columns and topped with a header, with intricate details. Within the arches are mirrors, the way it should be so you can see people behind you. Beyond the bar area is a game room with a pool table and video games. The service was super friendly, and I only wish more people knew to get off the interstate and visit this awesome bar.

We got the Street Corn Dip and it was not as described. It was very smoky which we would have never ordered if the menu stated as such. We ate about 1/4 of it and normally that would acknowledge the waitress or someone to notice but no one asked. All good. I had the curried gnocchi which was a decent vegetarian option but just ok. My husband ordered a tall boy Coors Light which was a normal 12 ounce can (not sure why it was called a tall boy). Oh and there are flies everywhere in the restaurant so I was constantly trying to swat them away. Not sure why as we haven't been in one place in Red Lodge with flies (not even open bars with all the windows and doors open). That part was really gross!!!!
