It was a wonderful local shop outfitted for paddling, camping, hiking, and climbing. I was very impressed with the book selection and the friendly staff. I'll definitely be a regular here - and I hope it will encourage me to do some more local outdoorsy things. It seems like there's quite a community for paddling - either by canoe or kayak.

And I may go in there and just buy a bunch of other stuff! I had to call Thule's 800 number after multiple attempts to unlock my bike rack with no real assistance from the place I purchased it. The customer service representative on the phone with Thule gave me RRT's address and phone number. I called and Emily was doing her "bookwork" but she walked up front and handed the "master keys" to her sales help in the store. They seemed to be expecting me when I arrived and Dalton walked out to my car with me. As the customer service representative on the phone had told me, there is a ring of 100 keys and Dalton tried every one of the them. Luckily, we found it after almost 70 different keys but I was treated so well. They didn't have to help me, I didn't buy the Thule Bike Rack from them. But this will be the first place I go in the future! According to Dalton, they offer FREE installation! It's a nice store in Old Milford and it's apparently been there since 2010. I have been biking the trail for years and I promised Emily, no more Thule from anyone but Roads, Rivers and Trails! They ROCK!!!!!!!! They also have a lot of very attractive clothing and equipment. I will let you know after I go back to shop.

The first pair, the guy at this location told me just to grab a replacement, which made me spend a few hundred on shirts because of good business practices. This time, the guy refused to honor the guarantee on the pair included in the picture. Claiming normal ware and tear on the back of the jeans clearly on the middle inseam! I told him after a year goes by, I'll stop bringing them back in. Already ordered replacement ridge pants that hopefully hold up better (not as light as Meridian unfortunately). I'm not looking for handouts, but want to get my money out of them so it's not a complete waste (I have all the colors). Now I've lost a lot of confidence in the company as a whole. I have a lot of their clothing, backpacks, and accessories. Before, I was assured that the quality is so good that they'll stand behind it. Now that they're not, the quality must be causing them too many problems to keep up with that assurance. Third picture is the size of pants compared to fresh order made a month ago. I haven't added on in size which would be a meaningful denial as well. He just kept repeating the same thing like one of my toddlers. Just doing what he's told is my guess.

Have you been to Dicks on Montgomery lately? I'm sure you have as you're all runners out there...I…read moresee ya. Lol Well yesterday the hubby and I stopped in. For many seasons I've been wanting a particular shoe. Not just any shoe-the most comfortable shoe to walk in. And let me just say...it's been elusive to me. Not all of you though because I see ya wearing them and I always say, "Hey! Where did you buy your Hokas around here?? I've been everywhere!" (Obviously I haven't but in my mind I have since I have a nice supply of other brands that didn't make the cut in my closet on my hunt for this brand, lol. Call me a collector.) Before I get to the point-I promise I will, let me just say it's been a couple years since I've been in this Dicks. But last time I was, they didn't have any Hokas, and they had a walking track around their shoes area. After doing a Google search as I was out and about, the hubby was tired of hearing how my feet hurt and starting looking for shoes stores so I thought I should participate. The search kept saying only 3 stores carried them and two of them were in KY. One e of those was Dicks. So we decided to drive to our local one. The point: (Told ya I'd get here ) Making my way to the back of the very clean and organized store, the heavens parted and I heard angels singing-it was really a baby crying but I snapped to reality rubbing my eyes in disbelief at what I was seeing! Hokas!! And not just a few pairs-a whole designated section of them! I promptly shoved my hubby and the crying baby out of the way, calm down this is all mental lol, and made my first pick. Scanned the shoe's barcode in a scanner, and out popped a young man almost instantaneously to serve me. Was it meant to be? Ohh yes. The comfort, the immediate relief on my feet! I was being propelled forward to walk as if these babies were one with body. I boxed them up. Said yes to the shoe. The hubby said aren't you going to try on others? I said, "I found the truth. There is no other. Now go pick yourself out a pair." Lol He did. And he tried on two just because he likes to overachieve. But he settled on the first pair he tried on which, by the way, was the same model as mine only mine are cooler looking. He found the truth too. And the prices were comparable to what's out there so I was happy! Do you want the same experience? Do your feet hurt in your other expensive gym shoes?? Dicks on Montgomery Rd has it. Don't walk-run, but only after you visit Dicks. *Disclaimer: No actual baby was harmed in the writing of this review.

They fixed my bike that I bought at a Loveland shop (it had some problems related, in my opinion, to a bad build). Repair / mechanics services here are good, but they do get very backed up in peak season. I liked them so much that I came to Bishop's to buy a bike for my 7 year old, passing up some cheaper options (Dick's, Target, etc). Sales and fit process was very good. That was a great buy (it's a Jamis); that bike is a high quality item and has been trouble-free despite a lot of use. When my daughter outgrows it, it will have several other owners before it is done. They specialize in Jamis (not exactly a household name but I'd recommend checking them out), Felt, and Bianchi. Location is convenient; they are in downtown Milford but only 2 minutes from the Little Miami Bike Trail. Getting a street parking spot right in front of the shop has never been a problem. I am loyal to this shop and would recommend.

I had used Bishops in the past, and since I work in Milford, I dropped the bike off and was told they would do a tune up, and remove and clean the trigger shifters/replace cables and that would solve the problem. 2 weeks and 180 dollars later, I pick the bike up on my way home and go out riding the next day. The shifters still did not work. Thumb triggers just went to nowhere when pushed. Called and they said to bring it back up. I pointed out to the tech that judging from the dust around the assembly, it had never been removed from the bike. He looked at my ticket and told me they would take care of it. Surprisingly the next day they called (Saturday) and I again picked up the bike on my lunch break. No apology, but they said if they didn't work that we could replace the shifters. Uhm. didn't they test them? Next morning I go riding. The shifters are working! But... they were put on in such a way I couldn't get my fingers into the top trigger by sliding as they were too close to the brake. And on top of that, there was a sticky substance on the bike seat. I wasn't paying much attention and wasn't too concerned, but when I sat down I found I literally became glued to the seat. When I got off the bike, the top layer of rubber came off and stuck to my pants. The seat was ruined. It was an old cheap seat. I didn't really care, but what an inconvenience. Stuck it back in my hatchback and it sat there until they opened Tues morning. I wheeled the bike in, and asked to speak to someone about my experience. The young female tech promptly adjusted the triggers. I calmly told them about my seat. I explained that this was my third time back and expressed concerns about the quality control there. How does a bike leave the shop without the main issue being fixed, then with shifters assembled so that they are unusable? I asked them how I could trust that I actually got the "tune up" services that I paid for. I pointed out that little things, like my downturned front reflector, weren't even properly adjusted during the safety tune up (aren't they supposed to go over everything?) and that if they couldn't be bothered to take the time to do that, how was I supposed to have confidence in the other tune up services and adjustments? The three employees just stared at me. No apologies. No reassurances. Silence. Until one guy said only this "we didn't spill anything on your seat." Ok, I said. But it wasn't like that when I sat on it last time and it was only here and the back of my car... They continued to just stare at me. No offer to help me find and purchase a new seat, no apologies for my three trips, no rebuttals to my quality control concerns, no offer of compensation for my hassles. Ok, I say, I just wanted to let you know I'm not happy with the service. I slowly turned my bike around and went out. The entire experience was unbelievable. This shop seems to have serious issues with quality control, customer service, and overall accountability. I'm so disappointed. Bishops when my pal Chris L. used to work there was a high quality establishment and it's a shame it's gone so downhill. Please if you come here, check their work in the parking lot. If I'd not gone off site the two times I picked up the bike and test rode it, I would have avoided a lot of hassle and their calling me a liar about a 10 dollar seat.
