The Short Review: Very friendly and extremely competent…read more The Long Version: I typically wait a few weeks after any sort of repair just to see if the issue of the day was fixed long term. In the case of this shop, I had just purchased an F-250 that I knew needed a little work. I brought the truck in for some repairs and an EGR replacement. Pepe's team did a great job. It was an expensive repair but the truck has run like a top ever since. Here is what I really like about this shop though ... Up-selling a repair is part of the business model for every auto-repair shop. These guys are no exception. If they see something else on your car or truck that needs a little work ... they recommend the work. BUT They are respectful and very polite about the recommendations! They explain the problem and possible consequences but they'll also tell you if the repair will really have any real impact on the performance of your vehicle. I really like this approach - these guys wont tell you your engine is going to blow up if you dont have them clean the soot from your EGR ports. They give you options and help you make an informed decision. The other thing I like about this shop is a little more basic ... they send you text messages with pictures of the work in progress. In general - they communicate very well during the process and after - when it's time to schedule a maintenance visit . All in all, I cant think of a better auto-repair/customer-service experience ... so ... 5 STARS

They took care of it as smoothly as anyone could ever hope for. They went out of their way to accommodate my timeline, and got me going very quickly. They've updated with pictures of progress, had lots of communications throughout the process, and make this difficult time as easy as possible. I couldn't ask for more. Also, check them out on the web. Pepe is very knowledgeable, makes some great content detailing some of the shortcomings in transmission design and his fixes for them. I highly recommend their services. I drove 230 miles for them to work on my truck because I knew I could trust them to build a solid transmission. The price was very fair for what I got, the timeline was fantastic, and the staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and most of all, friendly. Highly recommend them if you have transmission problems. Get with Aus-Tex Transmission first, and you'll never go anywhere else!!
