PROS: They are professional. Nothing was damaged. CONS: They are slow as hell. They smoke on the job. One of the three guys will not be doing something always. They will show up with a wad of paper work to sign the DAY OF the move while you are on the clock for 120 an hour. They left the house an hour early with more stuff to do. Advice: If you use them tell them everything up front. What exactly your moving. and that there are steps. They will charge more for stairs (more then 8) they will charge more to cover your mattress. they will charge more to wrap a picture. read more

Move from CT to TN. Zero Stars! We were extremely unhappy and totally dissatisfied with Premiere Moving. I would recommend that you never use their services in the future. Not only did they not arrive on the arranged pick up date after multiple changes in the pick up time frame, they then delayed the delivery of our daughter's belongings on the other end. They were supposed to arrive on Wednesday July 15th with a window between 9-12 pm. Then it became 1-3 pm. The driver called to say they were a half hour away. At 4:30 pm I called them only to be told that they were an hour and a half away and had broken down. Honestly, I don't think they had ever planned on arriving on Wednesday 7/15. Finally on Thursday 7/16 they showed up to our house with a UHAUL truck. Not a commercial Premiere Moving truck, a UHAUL. They finally arrived and loaded up the UHAUL, borrowing a strap from my husband (which by the way was never returned). They were on the road Thursday 7/16 by 11:00 am. After speaking with the driver on Friday afternoon he told me that their ETA would be Saturday 7/18 in the afternoon. He told me on the phone that he would contact me Saturday morning with the accurate time of delivery for Saturday. I finally called him at 12:45 pm after not hearing from him. They then said that they would arrive on Sunday afternoon, with no explanation as to why. When I told him that he had originally said that they would arrive Saturday afternoon, he denied ever saying that and that they would be there Sunday. They left CT on Thursday 7/16 at 10:54 am from our CT home in a UHAUL, not a commercial moving truck, so I don't think the 500 miles/day limit would necessarily apply in this case. I could be wrong but we got here in a day and a half, I would expect the same of them in a U-HAUL. Distance was 950 miles; 2 days easily. On Saturday (7/18) afternoon we get another call to let us know that the truck had broken down. AGAIN! Twice we got this excuse! They finally arrived on Sunday late afternoon at 4:30 pm, after many changes in the ETA, in a Penske truck! Our daughter's belongings were obviously removed from the original truck and were then repacked in a different truck. Luckily, the only missing item was a box fan and one broken picture frame. They obviously do not have any company trucks of their own and rely on rentals. This company is unreliable and they lie to their customers, holding the customer and their belongings hostage. Continually they kept adding on extra fees to the tune of almost $3000. When they finally arrived on Sunday late afternoon, we just wanted her things and for them to leave. She and I unwrapped all the furniture to get them out of her apartment. We were done with them and their excuses. And to top it off, Ali, the driver, is all smiles asking that we give them a good review! The audacity of it all! I immediately blocked all cell numbers associated with this move as to halt all communication with them. This was the most frustrating and worst experience that we've ever experienced from a moving company. They are the most dishonest and crooked company. There is nothing premiere about this company! Quite the polar opposite. We went with Safe Ship moving services (brokerage company for movers) because they offered us a military discount and offered us a competitive quote over several other reputable companies. But after all of these hassles not to mention Premiere's almost $3000 added extra costs, we are strongly questioning our choice. I also question their form of payment requests. The added cost that they told me was to be paid by Post Office money order that I could obtain at a Walmart, Venmo, or cash. No mention of a cashier's check. That is sketchy to say the least. We ultimately paid by cashier's check to be safe, from our bank, for reimbursement purposes & I certainly wasn't going to give them cash. That is not above board. That's tax evasion. This company is horrible and unethical in their business practices. We would never consider using them again! I used this moving service for a fair lawn to Wyckoff move. Moving is very stressful and this moving company made it even more so. They showed up late to my move and then had understaffed the move and came with one truck. In addition they were careless and wreck less with our things. They took a $1000 area rug and put it into a puddle that was INSIDE of the truck because there was a hole in the roof of the truck. Not only that but our mattress also got caked in mud. A move started at 7 am and didn't end til 11 pm because of their incredible inefficiency. Crate and barrel furniture with scratches and scuffs that no wood filler can repair, broken dishes from thrown boxes and my sons bed put together incorrectly are just a few of the nightmarish experiences with had with this moving company. And to boot they forgot an entire room in The house and my husband and neighbors had to clear it out ourselves. Then when we show up to our new house we find that they are charging us $2500 more than what they quoted us and wouldn't let any of our things off the truck until we paid the difference. If you are reading this AFTER you already booked them - I'm sorry, immediately file a complaint with your local police department and then call the Fair Lawn Police Department to resolve your issue. They are familiar with these crooks and can help. I was scammed as well by them, like so many other people on the reviews that follow. I booked my move for Friday, after they picked up my stuff: My original quote of $945 became "around $3000." My move date of Friday became "we aren't sure." Then they went radio silent. They did not answer any communication for days. I had to go from Washington DC to the police department in Fair Lawn NJ to hunt down my stuff. Once I called the police, Tiffany immediately answered. Then the hell began. Tiffany (who originally is pleasant) went ballistic. She just screams and yells and hangs up so you can't get any words in. After much police mediation they finally agreed to release my stuff for $500 cash, I had already paid them $100. Some facts about the company. The pictures on the website aren't true. That isn't their building front and they don't have trucks with their name on it. I've posted the pictures I took when I was there. The company is run by Ruben (owner), Tom (scam initiator), Tiffany (cover up phone receptionist). They run the scam out of a dirty broken section of a warehouse, all around looks like trash of other peoples' lost and thrown away stuff. It's so sad that they are still allowed to do business. Here's the scam: you call them, and give them a description of your apartment and the things you need moved. They send you back an estimate, listing those items. Part of this estimate is an estimated 'amount of boxes' based on the square footage of your apartment and the items you tell them to be moved. You will be SHOCKED by the deal you are getting, what polite, professional service you are receiving. They are downright delightful. And, given that they are A PROFESSIONAL MOVING company, they certainly will be able to take the description of your home and list of items, and come up with a reasonably accurate estimate, given that THIS IS WHAT THEY DO FOR A LIVING. Then, they come to pack. Again, the workers are polite, courteous. They inform you once they are about halfway done packing that the estimate they gave will be low, given the size of the apartment and amount of items (which you gave them when they created the estimate). 'Okay, I understand,' you'll think. There's no way they could get it ABSOLUTELY, ON-THE-NOSE right. Then, once everything is packed, they hand you a bill for 2.5x the estimate (what's $6k between friends, I suppose). Of course, the laborers there are only doing their job, so you'll have to call the boss on Monday. Hand them a credit card to pay? That'll be an extra 8%, despite the estimate saying, happily, 'We accept cash, credit cards, money orders and cashier's checks.' But hey, they've already got you for an extra six grand, why not give them another $800! When you call the boss and complain, he will tell you he SHOULD have charged you an extra 10% OVERAGE FEE for going over the estimate HE CREATED! If they weren't based in North Jersey or Sicily, you wouldn't believe it! After realizing there was nothing you could do, being that they had all your possessions, you wait at the destination for them. They call you at 8am the day before before they were supposed to arrive. That's a pleasant surprise! They are early! Well, you call the boss and say that the bank doesn't open for 1 1/2 hours, so can you please use a credit card for the balance, even if you have to pay the fee. 'No! Go to the bank! Cash or cashiers checks only on delivery!' I think this is basically the plot of most Liam Neeson movies, and it's pretty fun to play act along with them! Now that they have your things, the 'credit card for 8%' policy is gone, and you wait in a snowstorm for the Wells Fargo to open to get $3500 in un-traceable $20s for your mover to show you how much was broken. As you throw out the broken glass and try to narrow down what substance the stains on your couch could possibly consist of . . . you'll be dreaming of that ATM in Puerto Vallarta, where you only have a $300 limit. read more

If I put zero stars I would. Beware of this company. This was the worst experience I had to deal with and I wasn't even the one moving. My mother hired them to move her from New Jersey to upstate New York. She saw an advertisement for free boxes with long distance rides (nowhere does it say what long distance constitutes as). She calls a day before her move (I was standing next to her) and asks for them to bring a few more boxes the next day when they come to move everything. Nothing was mentioned about being charged. If I had known they'd charge her $400 for a few boxes, I would have went to home depot myself to get it for her. Then they did not even finish the job. They left half of her stuff at the house and didn't even complete the full amount of time she paid for. Lastly, the movers claimed they didn't have change for her $100 and would pay her back later. Obviously they did not! I had to call them about 4 times a day and they would just fight and yell at me that they are right and I am wrong and that they don't owe anything. After days of fighting with the owner and manager (both are just downright rude and obnoxious), they tell me all they will give me is $100 back. I am still waiting for the $100. I wish I had done my research on Yelp before hiring these guys. We got their name from Angie's List, where surprisingly, they are well reviewed. But like many of the other reviewers here have shared, Premier Movers should be avoided at all costs. Initially, we got a quote for them to help my parents do a full packing job as well as the move. When I called a couple of weeks before the move to say that we had done most of the packing ourselves, they said they'd adjust the price on the day of the move. However, when that day arrived, they refused to adjust the price. I asked why they wouldn't adjust the price and they actually said, "If you're going to make this difficult, it will be a difficult day." We had no option but to proceed with them since we had to move that day. Needless to say, it was indeed a difficult day. The items that they did pack were packed quickly, carelessly and without any labels. Upon unpacking the boxes, we have discovered many items broken. Our contract was for a move-out on Saturday and move-in on Sunday. On the day of the move-out, the owner complained about having to work on Sunday since it was Father's Day. I said "I'm sorry that's the case, but you guys agreed to do the job and we've planned around these dates." In turn, on Sunday, they dropped most of the boxes into the garage (over 80 boxes piled high to the ceiling) and refused to move them into the house saying they had to leave since it was Father's Day. They also charged my sister, who was on that end of the move, for "extra fees" that remain a mystery to us. She, too, felt like she had to comply in order to just get the job done. In the end, they moved belongings from Point A to Point B, but it was not a pleasant nor a professional experience with this company. read more

I have moved several times the last few years but was now in a new state and didn't know where to turn when I needed to move. I went to Home Advisor site and Premier was recommended. When I called I spoke with Tom he calmed my fears and was a great salesman. Unfortunately that is where the good experience ended. The day of the move after 2 hours from the promised time they still had not shown up so I called Tom, he said he would call me back and never did. The movers showed up 3.5 hours late, one mover eating ice cream and still had to wait for the general laborers they hire off Craigs list with no moving experience. I had to go behind them and clean the walls they marked up. They charged hidden fees, and were careless with my belongings. They used blankets that were torn and lots of holes. When I said I was nervous about my furniture covered like this going to a different state they gave an excuse that the owner won't pay for new blankets. Upon delivery, my fears were confirmed as my furniture was damaged where the wood was exposed through the holes in the blankets. The driver was dirty and rude. One worker showed up and he kept apologizing and encouraged me to take the pictures as even he was uncomfortable viewing all the damages. After 2 hours of no additional help showing up WE had to start moving the items, Other than the final heavy lifting we did the work as the additional help showed up almost 3 hours late and the driver argued with the laborers. I immediately sent pictures and requested the insurance paperwork. Four days later I still have not had a return call. When I called yesterday at 4:30pm the phone just rang and rang. Unfortunately this site will not let you post pictures or I would post the several pictures I have of damage. I will be contacting Home advisors and all other sites with my review. If I get resolution for the damages and missing items I will post it. Until then understand that what they quote is NOT what you will pay and with hidden fees for tape etc. My bill was $900 more than quoted. One excuse oh your furniture is bigger than we thought??? It's a shame I can't rate lower than one star. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Everyone is rude at some point, they don't communicate and when you call they yell and hang up with no explanation or solution provided. They "lost" and broke some items and to these days they haven't provided any resolution to my claim. The time frame they gave to deliver my stuff was changed many times and I had to be constantly pushing them to get it. At the end they brought everything out of the truck some of the boxes were put where we asked them to but most of the stuff was just left in the garage with the excuse that it was too late and they couldn't work any more. DECEPTIVE LIARS!!! The moving contract was signed for $525.00. I gave Premier Movers a $100.00 deposit leaving a balance of $425.00 plus the toll and small fuel charge. There were only a couple of pieces of furniture and some bins and boxes. A weight of 875 pounds was on the contract. This amount was confirmed the day prior to the move. I was told cash only upon delivery. The truck arrived and was loaded. The truck was closed in my presence nothing was said about any additional charges and we were on the way to the new apartment. While on route I received a phone call saying the truck broke down and it would have to be towed back to their warehouse. I was told they would rent a truck and bring the contents later in the afternoon. I followed the same route backwards and did not see the truck broken down anywhere along the route. I was called and told the balance was now $848.00 bringing my total to $948.00. $424.00 more than my original contracted price. After much arguing with multiple people at Premier Movers I was told that they would not deliver the belongings on the truck until I paid the full amount. In the end I paid $1024.00 $499.00 more than my original contracted price! In order to get the property delivered and have a bed to sleep on and clothes to wear we were forced to pay the difference. I have dealt with Movers before so I knew the right questions to ask. I was assured they would not transfer my belongings to another truck after pick up and they do not broker loads to other truckers. Once it goes in the truck it stays on the truck until it gets across the country. I was going CT to CA. Sales guy was very professional and stayed in touch right up until the morning of the move. That is when good service turned into HELL. Guys showed up in a box truck and so already, I know the load was being transferred. Drivers assure me the truck was waiting in NJ and my stuff was going right into tractor-trailer that day. They also advised me there was more stuff there than they estimated (sent videos and all) so the price was going up $1,900. Frankly I expected them to pull that. Pickup was on a Friday. The paperwork the driver left said to call in 2-3 days for an estimated delivery date. They assured me driver calls every day. I then called, texted and emailed from day 2 until day 17 with no returned contact. Called police as I assumed company went under. I could never reach a live person. CT police called NJ Police. NJ police went to Premier's offices and were taken to a warehouse where my belongings sat. Day 20 I call and some girls tells me they have no idea where the truck might be but she will find out Day 21 - It is on the way, the driver will call and bring it tomorrow. Day 22 - It is on the way, the driver will call and bring it tomorrow. Day 23 - It is on the way, the driver will call and bring it tomorrow. Day 24 - We heard from driver and will know more in 3 days Day 25 - Drive home from store and 2 guys from some other company in a rental truck waiting in front of house. First, they had to take off 2 other families stuff and pile it in the street to get to my stuff. Nice guys, subcontracted by Premier who they never dealt with before. It was 104 degrees out but they hauled it all out I ended up missing 1 chair, broken dishes, lots of broken picture frames, a bent bicycle and I'll never know what else I may be missing. I don't think I am a hard guy to work with - Like most folks, I just expect communications. If you want to have to involve the police to get a callback, these are your guys. I don't even know where to start on this review. DONT USE THIS COMPANY if you wish for your belongings to remain in good condition, you wish to receive all your items and you wish to have respectable customer service. Tom did not keep his word on anything, I was charged above and beyond the agreed costs and he was not involved at all after the sale. When the truck arrived with missing items and horrible treatment, his response was "That's too bad". I refused to sign for the delivery due to the significant items missing and damaged in addition to the lead refusing to review the inventory received and yelled at me that he had NO TIME!. Their agreement states, We have checked all the items and numbered 1 to [blank] inclusive and acknowledge that this is a true and complete list of the goods tendered and of the state of the goods received." I ask you all - would you sign this when your belongings were in pieces, ripped and missing? Ruben, the Customer Service Lead, then sent me a threatening email: "...Normally , we dont have this issue because customers don't refuse to sign and those that try to commit theft of service are handled by the police. So.. either you have copies you can sign and scan to me or I will have to wait until the driver returns to scan them. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I was quoted an 8 hour job which turned into a 14 hour job. I guess they make you pay for all the coffee and cigarette breaks as well (they didn't think I was watching). Every time I came down to check on them they'd scatter like roaches. When my bed was reassembled they casually forgot to put the screws in the most vital parts causing my bed to collapse the first night in our new place. They refused to accept responsibility for destroying the finish on my couch that they squeezed through the door. These guys are rookie at best!!! We were supposed to move on a Saturday and they call us on Friday and ask us if we can move Sunday instead, & we said okay. They have our stuff in the truck & the owner, Joe, hits us up for more money... First, he says that moving on a Sunday is time and a half - which HE CHANGED IT TO. These guys came in and moved my brother during a family emergency. He was in the hospital at the time and there were a lot of unknowns as to what he had paid for. The 3 guys drove down to his apartment and worked really hard and worked really carefully. They even did some things that weren't in the contract just because they were really nice dudes (especially Orlando) and were understanding of our situation. I had a very bad experience with this moving company. They moved and stored my furniture and boxes for a lengthy amount of time. They charged my credit card every month for the storage fee. Last month I asked them to deliver the items I had in storage. They delivered all of the furniture/boxes and were out the door very quickly. After opening the boxes I realized I was missing many of the back couch cushions that were in a box, kitchen items and a canvas that was on the wall. I called within the hour of delivery and they never got back to me. Finally after numerous calls in a row days later a man picked up and said I was out of luck because I didn't purchase the extra insurance. I informed him that he also delivered someone else's items to my house and his response was "throw it out" we are not coming back to pick it up. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

This company stored our furniture for 6 weeks then moved from nj to fl and took off the truck about 8 broken lamp shades, damaged about 7 new pieces of furniture, cracked the glass on our flat screen tv and more. Furthermore they charged us $2,000 more on the move out of the house even though I asked for a fixed rate. Then when they showed up with the furniture in Florida they insisted on payment before they unloaded the truck. Our two bikes were delivered damaged. The​ cost was $110 to repair the (2) bikes: The front wheels, chains and brake lines needed to be serviced. The delivery person (Kevin) noted it on his documents and I believe he also took pictures as proof. I have sent many notes to Tom about getting reimbursed for the service work that needed to be done on the two bikes but have had NO response at all. Please beware if any of your items are delivered damaged, you most likely will not get reimbursed or even a courtesy of an e-mail. read more

The bill, which had to be paid in cash, was a thousand dollars more than quoted. Upon delivery, a rude, nasty and unprofessional truck driver refused to help unload the truck as the "Craigslist" workers, which only one showed up, the rest didn't show up until we were almost done. They will nickle and dime you, use dirty trucks that - no kidding - they swept out the back full of garbage and fast food wrappers and old tires on the clock. Disgusting. Do not use these movers! They will hold your belongings hostage and force you to pay hundreds more then the initial estimate. We hired 3 drivers and one of the three workers stood outside smoking and tx messaging(just to increase their rate). When they arrived to the location to offload my freight, they asked for $480 more dollars which we didnt have at the time. If I didnt come up with the money they would impound my belongings. I wish I could put zero stars....My wife and I have moved over a dozen times and all over the country. This was the worst experience we ever had with ANY company...."Ruben" walked through my home 6 weeks earlier, assessed what it would take (packers & trucks) and after a full day of loading our belongings, we then discovered they didn't have enough room on their truck for our basement things (tools, exercise equip, holiday decor, etc). I had to arrange another mover to move my belongings the following day. They had no solution and had the audacity to blame my wife and I for this situation? Huh? Who blames the customer? I guess Premiere does. On top of this they ended up charging us an add'l $2,400 that night and another $1,400 on move in day. We were forced into this because they held the truck with all of our belongings....they were the worst packers in U.S. history, we had many of our things damaged and no organized thought went into labeling boxes or wrapping fragile items. I'm now contemplating hiring a lawyer to sue.... they are the worst movers in the country......please stay away from them! read more

Stay away!! We hired Premier for our move based off of interactions with a very professional (at first) salesman. The crew that showed up was so unprofessional. One of the men hardly even worked. When we complained to the owner he pretty much said that he stands behind his crew and tough for us. They taped two of my tv screens to a point where they are unable to be used again and to this day we can't find a pretty big ticket item. Another matter in which the owner did nothing about. They also claim to be based out of Wyckoff. This is just an office. This is not where they store your belongings if you require storage services. You probably would not like where they actually do. But good luck getting them to tell you where that is. We had to be detectives. This move was a complete nightmare because of them. Again - stay away. read more

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. First of all they completely doubled our estimate AFTER they already loaded up the truck. We moved from N.J. to FL and it took 15 days (12 business) when we were told no more than 6. When we tried calling to talk to someone no one would answer at ANY extension and when we finally did reach someone they were so rude and absolutely no help. We were told that they would be the only company moving our things but when the truck finally arrived it was a completely different mover. Just please do yourself a favor and don't even consider these guys. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

I'll make it short and simple. When choosing a mover i made the mistake of liking these guys and not checking reviews and background. I'm sure you'll find on other places plenty people had to say about them. Bottom line: We agreed on a price and signed. Once our belongings were on the truck and in undisclosed storage location, everything changed. Through pressure and similar tactics, they 'extorted' additional 30% to what was originally agreed and signed. On the day of the move, the management sat outside smoking cigarettes and laughing while the employees were running around unloading boxes. Here's the result; Our Bedroom was ransacked and two jewelry boxes were missing. I didn't have video cameras, but you can reach your own conclusions. To date, Premier Movers failed to provide me with; A - The name of the storage company our belongings were with. B - A fair explanation of why our rates went over by 30%. C - The name of the insurance company that supposedly, we paid a premium too. D - Not even an inquiry on their behalf into this matter. The worst company I've ever dealt with. They appraised my items for $2100, but once they loaded my items in to a truck the person presented me with almost $4000 as my new bill. I wasn't able to rejected because I had to move out that day or they treating me to take my items from the truck and charge me for the hours they spend. Once the furniture was delivered, a lot of items were damaged and none of the managers contact me to fix it or to pay for the damage. I had to open case with the credit card to dispute the charges. This company also ask for Cash a lot. This company doesn't want to take credit card unless you insist on it. They treating you to take all your stuff out of the truck unless you pay cash. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL. THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST SERVICE AND THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU FOR AT LEAST $1500 MORE ONCE THEY PACK YOUR STUFF IN TO A TRUCK. **THIS COMPANY PROFITS ON PEOPLE VULNERABILITY.** read more

A bunch of con artists. We booked them for a small, local move and they cancelled on us at the last minute. No real apology, we had to fight for our deposit for almost four months due to their incompitence. They pretty much told us sh*t happens and it's on you to find a new moving company. We finally got our 100 back after filing a claim with the credit card company, but would HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY CLEAR OF THESE GUYS!!!! read more

It's too bad the lowest score you can click here is a one and not a ZERO. This moving company is terrible. They quote you and give you the price for 3 guys to move, but then bring two more guys on their own accord and then CHARGE you for the extra guys you NEVER asked for in the first place. They make you pay BEFORE they move all your stuff in, because if they damage your place or items, they can run away with your money. The owner and his sidekick are rude and unprofessional and the sidekick says "I am not going to cheat you" and that they are "honest" one too many times when you questions what you are signing on the contract. Usually, the more times a person says that, chances are, they WILL cheat you and guess what they did scam me. I paid for three hours and they were done in 2 and they still charged me an extra 60 dollars. Losers. I hope they lose all their business and I should contact the BBB about them but I'll just let karma catch up to their business. read more

don't use this company they are fraudulent. they are not movers. they piggy back off other movers and the price is never the same, they changed the price after items were on the way for delivery and when i debated it with them they told me that my stuff would go into storage. the worst movers ever, damaged many items, lost items, these people need to be stopped. file with the attorney general of nj, file with bbb, file with secretary of state and head of transportation. they have over 25 complaints with bbb and many on here. the good reviews are by their owners and fake. read more
