My interaction with the staff has been pleasant. My current coordinator is nice. However, I will…read moresay in my experience getting on boarded it took about 3+ months. No one followed up to tell you what the next steps are in the process. If you don't keep calling to follow up no one does. Based on my experience i feel the company needs to take more effort in training its staff and improve communication, organization and urgency. I feel a result of this is being short staffed. As for the aides and the services being provided have been 50/50. A lot of them lack training, lack initiative, dirty, lazy and they steal. I understand some of these aides need a job and will take any job they can get for money, but I have to say when ANYONE applies to become a home health aide, they need to have that inner need to really want to help people. I've said this to many different facets of the health care industry and i say it here... when interviewing/hiring anyone to care/interact with the disabled/sick/elderly... the question should always be asked (in this instance) "why do you want to become a home health aide?" Their answer should be I love helping people and caring for the disabled/sick/elderly. if that is not the answer they shouldn't be employed. People who only need a paycheck and don't care about the disabled/elderly should not be hired. The disable/elderly need care, trust and help. They should not be ignored or feel like they are asking for too much. Proper training starts at the agency level. Let's try to make True Care a better place that families can turn to for care for their loved ones.
