We only needed them a couple times during our stay but we will definitely use them for any future trips to the city. We were traveling to New York on vacation and wanted to know if there was a company that could care for my mother who needs help sometimes getting in and out of the shower. We spoke to the HR department (Julissa) who was very kind and transferred me to the administrator (Lenna) who reassured us that they would be able to do this as long as we set things up before we came so that a caretaker & nurse could meet us there. We requested only female aides as my mother would not be comfortable with a male aide assisting her with the private matter of showering; the women who assisted my mother were very caring and gentle with her. My son had a severe spinal cord injury and was given 24/7 RN care. This company was paid for RNcare and sent LPNs. The LPNs rarely showed up on time and sometimes didn't show at all. On top of this household items started to go missing. I refused to let them into my home. I have chosen another company and have had no problems I highly recommend not using this company. read more

I was recommend Helping U Homecare by a friend of mine to care for my uncle. My uncle has dementia and we could no longer care for him on our own. We called the intake department who took down our information and worked with his insurance plan to get him quickly approved for 24 hour care. We have been with them for approximately 6 months and have nothing but good things to say about their aides and our coordinator. My grandmother with age needed an Aid and we went with Helping U, they really are what their name says, they are all about helping. There was a little language barrier between the aid and my grandmother and they were able to accommodate to our needs and did not hesitate to greater lengths to help us out! I hired this company to help take care of my father during my Sons wedding. My father needed supervision and help for the weekend out of town. The time and day my aide was supposed to arrive, they called me and said that they needed a nurse to evaluate him before anyone can show up. The nurse was not available until late the next day. I signed the contract 3 weeks before the event. They should have known that this was a state requirement. In the end, we had to cancel the contract due to their disorganization. In the multitude of phone calls, nobody at this firm could figure that out? In the end, my husband and I ended up taking turns supervising my father. We missed out on a lot of events due to this. Made our sons wedding very stressful since my father kept trying to wander out in a city he didn't know. I would not recommend this company at all. read more

My grandma recently started receiving long term care. I'm truly satisfied with the way that this agency handles her home care services. Her home health aide takes great care of her and I'm especially grateful on how helpful the office is. Helping You Homecare doesn't even deserve one star. Worst home care agency out there. They tell you aides are coming and then they don't show up. No phone call. No nothing. This literally happened to my father 3x in a row. When the one aide did finally show up - an hour and half late, she didn't even stay her full scheduled hours. She left early. I would never recommend this company to anyone! We used Helping U Homecare for my sick grandmother in NY and have never been so disappointed and disgusted with how she was treated. When we had certain situations arise, we could call for the problem to be brushed off just to get us off the phone with no type of empathy towards our concerns. We have written letters as well and the problems persisted. I've also tried speaking with their "Human Resources" department ( which is a joke) to have the issues that were at hand handled to be hung up on multiple times. An agency that is handling sick and elderly individuals should be treating their patients with the upmost care and respect at best, not neglect. If you care about yourself or a loved one avoid this agency and RUN!!! read more
