This place is the best!! My car battery died and I was stuck in Long Island, NY. AAA came and gave me a jump to start the car but they recommended that I get a battery right away. They did not have the battery for my Ford Edge. My sister recommended that I call Precision Transmission. She was concerned because they close at 5 PM and it was already close to 4:30 PM. I called them and explained my situation. They told me to come on in that they would wait for me. I thought that because they were closing that i would have to leave the car but by the time I got there, they had ordered a battery. The battery arrived they installed it and we all went home! Eric's the man to see in these auto situations and in fact, he run's the shop (Im coming from the west coast by the way). Brought in my acura tL for a serious, i mean, serious transmission problem. On top of that, discovered another serious problem (engine mounts destroyed [went in to check myself]). Not only were they adjustable with their rates, but were glad to make sure the quality matches their price. And in less than 2 weeks, brought my baby back to life and trust me when i say i haven't felt my baby drive this aggressive in a loong time. A BMW franchise dealer was trying to charge me more than double for work that I didn't need, and Precision Transmissions was able to identify exactly what my car needed. I was able to see the mechanics inspect my car from the seating area. The mechanics came and spoke with me and didn't mind explaining everything. These guys were very honest, straightforward, helpful, and quick. I came in for a State Inspection, but needed some repairs done first. I told them my issues, they checked everything out, told me that honestly it wasn't worth me spending the money to get it repaired anyways, and also let me know that it wasn't necessary to fix in order to pass the inspection. It was a minor issue, but they still could have easily told me I need to fix it, and charged me for it. On top of that, they gave me quotes on any parts I needed for repairs, explained everything out for me on what was needed for the inspection, and both times I went to their shop, I didn't have to wait long for my car to get pulled into the garage, worked on, everything explained, paperwork taken care of, and driving out with a smile. Friends let you down, jobs are terrible, love is a myth. Precision Transmission on Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn is the only thing you can rely on. Professional, friendly, honest, expert service every time. Been taking our car to PT for regular service for years. Never been disappointed or overcharged. Go early in the AM to avoid a wait. They do get busy, but that's because they are good. Turn around time on inspection and repairs still impossible to beat. They told me it wasn't the transmission but the rear wheel bearings. I was both surprised and a tad skeptical since my trusted mechanic told me the transmission on my 2004 Matrix with 175,000 miles wouldn't hold up past the winter. They quoted replacing both wheel bearings but after opening up the wheels they only replaced the one rear broken wheel bearings saving me approximately half of the quote! Precision is amazing!!!!!! I have a 14 year old car. Eric always tells me the least expensive way to fix something. One time he told me how I could easily maintain something myself instead of replacing the part which would have been really expensive. When I thought I needed tires replaced. He checked and said it was just the sealant around the rim and fixed it for me for so much less than it would have been to replace the tire. I can't say enough nice things about Eric and Precision. I found precision transmission on yelp. The reviews was the deciding factor that this is where I want my car to be. I have an older car. It works she gets me from point a to b and doesn't have have a 3rd of the miles that most car her age would have. But she(my car) had some body work to be done. I explained to Eric that all of the dents in my car was collateral damage from living on a narrow two way street with a bus route. I wanted the dents out, I wanted it painted the works. Eric explained to me that it's not worth the money to have the car painted because I live on a very busy street and of the cars age. I was very surprised and happy that he suggested that. Eric is a great guy and easy to talk to. He is always been fair and helpful. There work has always been outstanding. He has never looked to make more work for himself and in experience he has talked me out of having work done that was not really necessary. My ignition switch was loose and I had to wiggle the key to get the car to start, annoying but livable. Eric told me it was about an 8-900 dollar repair and it was up to me. I lived with it for at least another year until it got to unreliable and he fixed it for the price he told me the year before. I have been to Precision at least 4 times in the life of my car and every trip has been easy and pleasant. I strongly recommend Eric and his guys. read more

Precision Transmission is one of the most helpful and professional auto repair shops I've ever been to. They gave me immediate personal attention and the car looks beautiful and drives great. The owner, Eric, clearly cares about the cars and the people who drive them and was quick to let me know of other issues the car had - even took care of a few minor issues as a courtesy! My vehicle was hit while parked and it was a big job but they handled it quickly and kept my updated constantly.
