One star is generous. I originally went in for a quote on a remote starter and passive locking (car locks 30 seconds after the last door closes). I scheduled an appointment for 11/4 at 9 AM and dropped the car off the night before. I was told it would take 3-4 hours and they'd call when it was done. They didn't. Of course, they didn't. Hours 3, 4, 5, and 6 went by with zero communication -- not even the bare minimum courtesy you'd expect from a half-functioning business. I finally called around 3 PM and was told they were "wiring the module" and needed another hour. I arrived at 4:15 PM -- still not done. So I sat and waited until 5:15 PM, after the owner had already bailed for the day, before the car was finally finished. As I was being shown the fob, I asked about the passive locking. The tech casually hits me with, "No, you just lock it with the fob." So after 8 hours, they couldn't even manage to install the one thing I specifically requested. His excuse? "No one told me." The lack of communication in this place is honestly impressive -- but only if the goal is to fail. He then told me to come back the next day so he could "just drop the dash and turn it on," like it was as simple as flipping a light switch he forgot existed. I came back the next day -- and shocker, that tech wasn't there. Instead, the owner, John, steps out and immediately contradicts everything his own employee said. He calls the manufacturer and, surprise surprise, the module they installed didn't even support passive locking in the first place. So yes, after wasting an entire day of my time, they had installed the completely wrong hardware. John said he would overnight the correct module and call me when it arrived. He didn't. Naturally. Thursday came and went with no call. I had to call them on Friday, only to be told I now needed yet another full appointment. When I asked how long this so-called "easy fix" was going to take, after hearing that line repeatedly, John responded with the most useless answer imaginable: "It takes whatever it takes. We'll call you." Translation: We have no idea what we're doing, please stop expecting competence. So I dropped the car off Sunday night for a Monday 9 AM appointment. Once again, the entire day passed with zero communication whatsoever. I called at 3:30 PM -- same copy-and-paste excuse: "We're wiring the module, another hour." No call after that, obviously. At 5:03 PM, John leaves a voicemail claiming they're closing because I "wasn't there," even though I was literally five minutes away and had received no updates besides the one call I made. I called back instantly -- straight to voicemail. At 5:07 PM, I arrived to find my car still sitting inside the shop and the place completely closed up. They didn't even have the decency to wait the extra two minutes after leaving the voicemail they should've left hours earlier. This shop is a complete joke. Zero communication, zero professionalism, zero accountability, and nonstop excuses. Two full appointments, two modules, and several days of wasted time -- and they still couldn't deliver the service I originally requested. And to make it worse, the half-baked system they DID install doesn't even work correctly: * If any door except the driver's door is open, the system still locks the vehicle -- totally incorrect behavior. * Once the vehicle auto-locks, it won't unlock with the fob or the app after about 5 minutes. * Only one of the two fobs actually works. * The "alarm" is a sad joke -- all it does is flash the high beams like the car is trying to signal for help. At this point, you could hand the tools to a random passerby and get a cleaner, more accurate installation. Truly, anyone off the street would've done a better job. I genuinely don't think it could've come out any worse unless they intentionally tried to mess it up. Absolute bunch of morons, with a bunch of fake signage claiming they're the best. I think their BBB Accredited sticker on their door is funny, given that the BBB website says "Not Accredited" in big, bold letters. read more

I was first given a quote of of 469.00 including installation. But when I came in to have the work done. I was given a different price of $524.99, I mentioned the man earlier quoted $469.00 he said the product 399.99 plus 100.00 for labor, I agreed to pay. But then upon picking up my car I noticed the receipt said $624.00. These people are a rip off . Don't trust what they say unless you have the quoted price in writing. read more

I went here to get a part of my radio fixed on a 2007 Honda Civic. I had previously gone to Parkway Honda to fix the problem--and they charged me nearly $1300 and didn't fix it (after much effort, I finally got a refund) Precision Sound charged me just over $400 and instead of fixing the radio they replaced it with a better, more updated system. Very happy with the work they did and it was cheaper than best buy. Got a Viper alarm/starter and was really impressed about the range. I actually could start it from my unit in a concrete/brick apartment building. No more freezing in the morning and now feel better if someone tries to break in. I had my Viper remote starter installed at another vendor and was extremely unsatisfied with the results and that particular company's nearly complete lack of customer service. To add to my frustration, I could not get the Viper iPhone app to work in my own driveway which was the main reason I bought the unit in the first place. Out of desperation, I searched Google, found and called Precision Sound, and spoke to Andrew. I told him about my problem and he asked me, "Did you get the Viper from us?" Reluctantly I told him no and he said, "Let me guess, did you get it from ...?" From that wonderful moment on, every (and there have been quite a few) interaction and service experience with the gentlemen at Precision Sound has been totally friendly, respectful, highly competent and ultimately, wholly satisfying. They've quickly diagnosed and fixed all my original remote starter problems. It's as if they have guaranteed the work of a major competitor. I've often thought of stereo installation places as one of the easiest places to get ripped off, so I was a little concerned when my girlfriend went off to get her remote starter repaired. She went to two other places that insisted her unit was broken and she would need a new one ($300). A year after getting speakers installed and a CD player and telling them that one of the speakers kept cutting out. The speaker no longer works. Thanks for wasting my money and time. I did what they suggested was the problem with the speaker and it still stopped working. That's on top of my radio cutting out randomly. That I can handle though, the speaker no longer working is beyond frustrating since I told them it was defective and the owner tried to tell me that was impossible "electronics aren't defective". Now it doesn't work. They could have changed out the speaker for a new one and sent it back to the manufacturer. But instead of trying to help me they brushed me off. read more

I went to get my car alarm, which has a life time warranty, serviced at this place. After sitting by myself in the waiting room on the day of my scheduled appointment for 20 minutes listening to the employees talk about partying last weekend, I had to ask someone to look at my car already! I was told that the head unit was fried and that there was physical evidence of damage, there by voiding my warranty. I was going to have to pay $$ for a replacement head unit that they didn't have in stock. I went to another shop for a second opinion. They had it fixed in 5 minutes, no charge. Avoid at all costs. Owner is terrible. Had them put new speakers in my brand new car with only a few miles on it. They dirtied the car up and punched a hole in the leather seat. They then had the seat repaired with vinyl with color that matched but texture that didn't. When I told the owner I thought I shouldn't pay the remaining balance (only a fraction of the work) since they basically ruined the seat on my 42k car he said "now I'm loosing money great...lesson learned". I'm trying to figure out what lesson he learned is. Is it that they shouldn't punch holes in people's brand new cars? Maybe they should only work on 20 year old jalopies that their owners don't care about?....I guess I'll never know. They told me that instead of replacing it they could send it out for service. They actually didnt even charge me and had it repaired under warranty. Most places would have charged me anyways. These guys are real pros. Andrew answered my call previous day and said Saturday's are booked till November. I happened to reach their office on Saturday to check details about remote car systems. Andrew detailed possible options and offered to install in one hr. Apparently some one didn't show up and lucky me to be there. He took precisely 1 hr to install Viper 4806v on my Accord and it's working as expected. Work is very professional. Antenna wire was tucked up in door rubber beading very neatly. Very happy with work. Tad expensive but worth it for all good work. Will post another review on remote car few months later. read more

I recently visited this shop because my automatic car starter stopped working after AAA replaced the battery. Despite AAA saying it had nothing to do with he battery, the guy I spoke to by phone said it was and that they could get it fixed no problem. I waited a couple weeks for a Saturday appointment but it was worth it. They took my car in right away and everyone was super friendly. I got a whole bunch of things installed on my 2017 accord, and with some added recommendations, I was able to leave with a new remote start and security system in the car. After 3 visits to this shop my car left the exact same way I brought it to them, with out a satellite radio. The satellite radio worked fine but it caused a very poor connection with my factory Bluetooth. The young guy worked hard to figure out the issue, exchanged parts, called the company tech support etc but in the end they said they could not figure out the issue and had to refund me my money. Through all my visits the owner nor his co-worker helped the guy working on my car and during my first visit the gentlemen had to repeatedly stop working on my car to answer the phone and help walk-in customers while the owner was outside socializing with friends. I found everyone in the shop to be friendly but that's really the only positive. If I could give them less then a star I would. I brought my BMW 325i to their establishment to install an aftermarket touch screen radio. It started off completely wrong, I had to go over there and explain to them how the radio is suppose to fit in the car. They didn't realize the heated seats was suppose to be connected with the screen program. That was the first problem. Then we realized later, it was the wrong fit (too small), I accept responsibility for that. So they put my car back together but didn't hook my AC and blowers back, so I had to go back again. Then over that weekend I tried to use my cigarette lighter to charge my phone and it was not working properly. All of these things were in the same area. So needless to say they are not effecient in their work and they are far from professional. The older man that works there raised his voice at me and wouldn't listen to me about the problem I was having with the charge. I don't know if he was the owner or not but he is very disrespectful, he already started to call me wrong before I could even show him the problem. Then he slammed my door when he got the car. I WOULD NEVER recommend anyone to go here. I wish they would have told me that they were not use to working on BMW'S because now I have to go to the dealer to get my cigarette lighter fixed. It's also very sad because I work across the street from them and this is how they treat surrounding companies. Horrible. read more

i was sick and bored of the factory radio till it died the amp under seat sucks anyways I went to a few shops asking if they can install an after market radio and rear speakers on my 03 saab 93 most shop quoted me $1500 -$2000! and BEST BUY said its impossible to install a radio on it well i was about to give up till i went to precision sound i spoke with john he was nice and straight forward told me he will install the a kenwood radio with alpine 6x9 speakers in rear and wire the dash speakers that was fine by me as i really didnt worry about the steering wheel pre sets or the sid. dropped the car at around 10am the older guy was the one who did the work on the car perhaps hes the owner he never introduced himself never greets, so i went for a walk and stopped by Mcdonalds for breakfast about 2 hours later i went back to the shop i asked how they are doing never cared to explain,i waited another hour and a half in the shop i asked the big guy if they were done after he walked into the counter looks like he doesnt like to talk much, again never explained what they did just told me had to pay $15 more out of no where fine i paid and stood in my car for about 20 mins checking out the radio and listening to the sound of the alpine speakers they are great really dont need an amp or sub the single din kenwood radio was nice love the bluetooth and the mic above the visor BUT after i left in the middle of the road i notice the SID cover was lose could not clip back in on the rear side walls left stain sure its an old car but they should have cleaned that off. read more

My stock HID's were ruined by Audio Max in Walpole so I came here seeking help in fixing them. Although they were nice at first and seemed to know what they were doing and they assured me that they would be fine once I left, they were not. Turns out Audio Max installed aftermarket lights in my car instead of D1s bulbs that actually fit my headlight casings. Precision should have installed the correct lights once they saw the aftermarket kit knowing that my car supports FACTORY stock HIDs. Instead, they tried to fix the hack job Audio Max installed and I returned 3 times to tell them they continue to flicker out whenever I hit a bump in the road. They told me I needed to go through the dealership to order a new ballast. What they don't realize is the D1s bulbs come fastened to ballasts and the current lights in my car were faulty because they're aftermarket and something is wrong with the wiring. I'm not sure if they were too lazy to fix the problem the right way or if they were too incompetent to figure it out. Anyways, I suggest going to Truck Guys in Weymouth, MA for ANY job involving your car. They are extremely nice and they won't steer you in the wrong direction or waste your time, or make you come back another time even though you have an appointment. Good Luck! read more
