First, I want to say the technician that showed up to my house was kind and knowledgeable. This review is not a reflection on his service. I had no problem booking an appointment, they were quick and responsive, although I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. The tech who came out was unable to replicate the issue I was having with my washer so he put the washer back together and left. I did not sign the paperwork because they did not perform a repair. The rep left happy, in a good mood, and on his way to lunch with food in hand. Shortly after, he left (within the hour) we noticed a part was sticking out and no longer closes completely flush. I took a picture and texted the company. I did not receive a response, even though they had been diligent in responding prior to this. I did not hear from them at all, the entire day. The following morning, first thing, a short while ago in fact, I contacted them via text, and then contacted their office via phone. The person I spoke with said someone had received my text and would respond and she got off the phone with me. I have attached the conversation, but in to summarize... * They initially told me there is nothing they can do to fix the door no longer being flush. * When I questioned that, they told me to contact my warranty company. * When I mentioned they had caused the issue, they told me the case was closed and to contact my warranty company. At this point I called them and asked to speak with the manager, the rep who I spoke with told me that's who I was texting. I told her I wanted to speak with the manager on the phone, she told me I they are too busy to talk to me and explained I have to contact the warranty company because the case is closed. When I mentioned I contacted them the day prior with no response, when the case was still open... she got confused and started stammering a bit, trying to figure out what to say. She then explained again I have to contact the warranty company and that they won't come out to fix it. When I said this isn't right, she told me she didn't want to argue with me, to contact the warranty company, and then she hung up on me... At this point I reached back out to the "manager" via text, and explained what had just happened and that this was completely unprofessional. Unfortunately they just kept repeating the same thing, as if that somehow will make this problem go away. As a consumer, who's product is covered under an extended warranty that was purchased, this made me feel extremely used, irritated, and frankly powerless. Precision Services was only precise at one thing, pushing me through their system, belittling me, and causing me to feel as if they are not a company that takes accountability or stands behind their work. My personal experience for an LG refrigerator warranty work was really smooth. From LG approved authorization for service to Precision services was 4 business days to fix my refrigerator. I was honestly worried about the warranty process as I've heard horror stories about techs coming out with wrong parts only to delay it weeks after week. Precision services was punctual in their text responses. The tech, who happens to own it, was a pro. Took around 1:15 mins. Being thorough like cleaning out moisture from the lines is top notch. Turns out LG 1st gen linear compressors where bad so they got a smooth process to replace it. Thank goodness for that. read more

My family and I have been dealing with a nightmare LG refrigerator since December 2022. LG sent out one company that allegedly fix the issue but broke our door glider. Then the issue that the other company allegedly fixed, returned and ultimately cost me a broken icemaker now after weeks of calls with LG they finally sent out another repair company which happened to be Precision services. The technician David was great, very knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond to assure everything that was wrong was corrected and anything he saw an issue with was addressed. Even though I I did not come out of pocket for any expenses, he was very professional, very thorough and was very quick in his repair. It took more time to get the parts then it did for him to fix it. I can't speak about any other technicians but if you get David, you will have a good service tech. read more

So the compressor went out on our two year old LG refrigerator. We called LG Customer Service on Saturday and found out the compressor was still under warranty. A repairman was called out to take care of the job. When I checked their YELP site, I was shocked to see so many one star reviews. I tried to cancel and ask for another repair service, but DAVID from Precision Services texted us on Sunday and made an appointment for the next day which was Monday. David came early and he was very professional and explained what was going on in our refrigerator freezer. He changed our expectations because we were expecting terrible service, but instead David was highly professional and efficient. We can't speak for the other repair people at Precision Services, but we certainly can highly recommend David from Precision Services. read more

This is the second time we have had to use Precision Services in order to go through our warranty claims. The first time I would have given them 4 stars, not because of the technicians (they deserve more than 5 stars) but because of the way the "SMS" messaging went, this time was even worse. This second time however, they sent me a message saying our technician could be coming as late as 6pm, which, when we originally booked, they told us 4pm at the latest. I took the day off because the service window is so large, which as a teacher is extremely difficult to do right now since no one wants to sub during a pandemic. I also have major health concerns, so I scheduled a doctors appointment at 530pm, figuring they would be done even if they showed up at 4. When I received the message saying our window was until 6 pm, outside of their listed hours, I sent a reply message asking if I needed to reschedule since I had a doctor's appointment scheduled at 530. Without contacting me back, Sonia G. took me off of the schedule for the day. She simply send me a scheduling link with new times and dates- of which wouldn't work because of my and my husband's work schedule. I replied telling her that I took that day off and that I was available the next Monday at any time (since we had the day off as a teacher anyway), plus in the link she sent me there was that date listed. She then replied telling me the next available date was 2/24, which clearly won't work and we are without a working fridge until they come out. They won't even be able to fix the problem we are having because Samsung has a huge lawsuit out for the issue we are having on 20 different models. We simply have to have them come out and say "hey we can temporarily fix it but it will only last for about a week before it happens again" so Lowes will send us a replacement fridge. When I told her that 2/24 wouldn't work and that I'd like to keep our scheduled time for the day, she replied "Okay. You are added back to the schedule". Which we never should have been taken off of, I simply asked if we needed to reschedule if he would be there at 6pm, when no one would be home. An hour later she sends me another message saying that he can't make it due to a family emergency but that they magically have a new slot open on 2/17. I completely understand family emergencies and if that is true, I hope his family is okay. She never replied to my well wishes or telling her any time the next Monday would work (especially since they had times listed for that day on their scheduling link). She then replied 20 hours later saying that they are closed on that day, which is clearly untrue because the date and times would not be listed in the scheduling link if that were the case. (Like they weren't listed on Thanksgiving when we used them a year ago...) I'm beyond tired of being jerked around and having my appointment cancelled without asking if that's what I wanted and it's not like they can even fix the problem. Looking at BBB, it looks like this is a common problem and I HOPE that Lowes and Best Buy change companies they are partnered with because this is ridiculous. Old Republic Home Protection Warranty assigned Precision Services to repair a gas leak with my oven. Technician came out on July 19 and again July 26 without being able to prepare Oven. Claimed both times he knew what part(s) were needed to repair, but was not even able to tell me what was wrong or what was needed to repair the oven. I called and text the company and was told part needed is on order with no ETA Finally I was fed up being August 28, without a working oven, so searched yelp and found Volt Appliance told me over phone the likely problem and technician came out next day. Also, Volt appliance had the part on hand and oven was fixed within 1/2 hour. read more

This review is solely directed at the business' customer service and scheduling team. After scheduling an appointment ~14 days in advance for 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and then adjusting our work day accordingly, we were notified the afternoon before our appointment that the technician will arrive between 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Because we are located in Fremont, I was told by the supervisor John in Customer Service that their business will not service the East Bay (Fremont, Union City, etc...) until the afternoon because their team starts out in San Jose on a daily basis. After expressing my disappointment at the lack of transparency with their online scheduling and poor ability to provide accurate confirmation info regarding appointments, John from Customer Service simply hung up on me. Yet another completely horrific customer experience. I urge anyone that has had similar experience to report to BBB. The appointment scheduling is broken - more than once, they have shown up without proper notice - the simple things that should work do not here. They are relying on scheduling software that is not working smoothly. Twice, they showed up for an appointment without notifying us ahead of time - we just got a text that they were on the way! The first time, we were able to get there in time. The next time, we said we would need 30 mins to get home, they said they couldn't wait. So instead of waiting 30 mins (when it was their fault to begin with!), they had us go without a refrigerator for 2 more weeks! AND the numerous appointments are only needed because they did not fix the refrigerator properly the first time - the fridge and freezer went out 2 weeks after they "fixed" it resulting in $100s of lost food, not to mention the fun of waking up to a leaking refrigerator in the middle of the night. To TOP IT ALL, when we tried to call to get some resolution - Rosie, the operator, was absolutely rude. The manager was speaking to her at the same time as I was - giving directions. She told me "I have people screaming in both my ears" - I wasn't screaming but maybe her manager was? When I asked to speak to the manager, she said no - he wouldn't speak to me. I asked to leave a voicemail. Rosie said they don't have that. FInally, she said she would ask the manager to call me back. When I asked when I could expect the call back, she said it's up to the manager and couldn't give me even a timeframe, I was asking if I could expect it in 24 or 48 hours. This was a week ago - surprise! no call back still. The warranty company for our refrigerator used this company. If you have a choice, stay away. They very clearly did not care about their customers. The service people who have come out have been nice - but the fact that the refrigerator broke again, doesn't give me a lot of confidence in them either. Precision Services is the worst company that I have dealt with in recent years. I contacted this company service my 3 year old GE clothes washer which had a simple issue with the fabric softener not draining. When the tech came, he couldn't figure out what could be causing this issue. He tried calling his colleague for help but still couldn't figure it out. He even asked me for the Owner's manual to figure out the cause. This clearly shows that the tech lacks the expertise and experience in diagnosing high end washer like the one I have. Since he wasn't able to correctly diagnose the issue, in his repair order, he simply put the unit needs to be replaced without running any diagnostic tests or running the complete wash cycle. I called them today and wanted to talk to a live person but was turned away. Rosie from Precision picked up the call and transferred me to this person named John. Upon connecting, John said in a very nasty tone that the service was completed and the tech was able to diagnose the issue, false! When I tried to talk, he just hung up on me. I called back right away and was answered by Rosie again. I asked her why John hung up on me and she said, you ask him. I then asked her what is his position at Precision, and she told me to ask him in a very nasty tone. Again, after being transferred to John and asking him why he hung up on me, he said he was tired of explaining and hung up on me once more. He did not even give me the chance to talk. I am so upset and very disappointed about how this company treats their customers like that. Was referred to this company to repair an LG refrigerator. Initially they said the part would take 3 to 5 days to receive. When I called after 6 days, they told me it takes 10 days. Very rude customer service. When the part was finally received, it took them 10 more days to get a service tech to do the repair. I WISH I would've read their reviews. I would've never chosen them for insurance. My 2 year old LG refrigerator went out. It's the compressor and another part. That was last Tuesday. The diagnostic guy from Precision came out 2 days later. Great. But then a week later I call and ask when the parts will get here. The answer? It might be 7-8 days or it might take 2 weeks. THEY HAVE NO IDEA!! Really? How long have you been in business that you have no idea how long parts arrive? Is this your first repair? Was referred to Precision via LG for a washer and dryer combo unit that wasn't draining (unit less than 5 months old). The turn around was less than 24 hours and a technician arrived to our rescue. Steve was swift and quickly located the problem - a blockage past the screen. He was friendly, courteous, and on time. Only tricky part was because it wasn't mechanical, it wasn't covered under the warranty, so the $125 deposit was lost. But to get the unit going again, it was well worth it. At the 2nd visit, the same technician install the new part (main board) but now no water and no function at all. This technician is very irresponsible and left. Just told me that he need a new part--a clutch. CAN U BELIEVE IT!!! For the 3rd visit, the technician came here and spent certain time on it. Then he found that the 1st part they order is the wrong model. Damn, they spend over a month on it and cannot fix it. Every time, it took around 2 weeks for new part and new appointment. This company was suggested to me by Sony's support site to repair our 3 year old Sony Bravia flat screen TV. Their website is a bit archaic but I was able to set an appointment for the technician to come to our house in 4 days time with a limited amount of space to explain the problem. 3 days later (the day before the appointment) I reached out to them to inquire as to a time frame when they would be by and my appointment and all the info regarding it was only "half-written up" so I provided my information again and they said they would be by the next day between 2p-6p. On the appointment day around 1:50p I decided to text their support number to give them our gate code. They texted me back with, "Your money has been refunded to your account. Please check your email for the receipt. We were not aware that the technician is currently sick." When I asked for them to let me know when they could reschedule, they did not reply for the rest of the day. The next day I texted them again to inquire as to when they could reschedule and they responded by texting me back with, "We refunded the money to your account. Please contact another service provider." I then questioned again whether or not they could reschedule but their response was just, "We cannot at this time we do apologize for the inconvenience." So they only responded when I initiated contact with them. They wouldn't have let me know they wouldn't be showing up or rescheduling. Their $150 house call fee was extreme but at this point I'm just glad I have avoided dealing with them beyond text messages. I never did receive an email receipt for the refund so now I have to watch my bank account. And all the texting was because I was on hold for 10 minutes on their phone without anyone answering. I was referred to this business by Samsung for my out-of-warranty LCD TV that has failed. I called and immediately received a text notifying that I can communicate via text-which I did not. The estimated hold time was saying 10 minutes. After I finally reached a person I was told I cannot take my TV in for an estimate (which I was planning on doing), they charge $150 to send a technician out to assess the repair, then they provide a report within 24-48 hours as to the repair, and if approved the $150 gets rolled over into the repair cost; if repair is denied by you, the $150 is non-refundable. I did not experience anyone being rude to me unlike every other review I read while I was holding-but I also did not schedule an appointment with them. Proceed at your own risk. read more

Don't waste your time here. They only do half ass job. If it isn't LG assigned them to me, I never use any company with less then 4 stars. I bought a new LG dryer but the door is not air tight. I can see lint all over the rim of the door after each dry. I called LG and they assigned Precision to me. The technician came to look at the dryer and said it is normal. OK, this is not my first dryer. I know it shouldn't be any lint all over the rim but to the screen. After some back and forward arguments, they finally agree to order new door. I waited almost 3 weeks to get the door. When they came to change the door, they change the face of the dryer as well. The technician said LG doesn't just replace the door. They replace the face as together/a set which I am not complaining. My complain to this is that he didn't put it on correctly. There is a gap that can fit 3 credit cards in it. I didn't realize it until I use the dryer. I called and texted them with pictures to address the issue. The lady on the phone was so rude and was treating me like an idiot. First she said I will get back to me. I waited a week with no answer. I texted them again with more pictures because I don't want to hear her bad attitude. They texted back as I don't know and will have to wait for their master technician look at the pictures. Didn't I already sent pictures a week ago?? Waited another day, no answer. They were just keep on stalling. I texted again. Now, they refused to fit the issue because they said it is normal to have gap. I called LG and their technician explained it is normal to have a small gap but shouldn't be big enough to fit 3 credit cards in. LG open another repair with Pretistion and ask them to fit the gap. I also texted Pretision TV and told them LG agreed with me on the issue. Pretistion texted back, "There is nothing I can do for you." Don't use this company even when LG assigned you to. You can tell LG to assign you a different company. If you ended up stuck with them, make sure you file a complain with LG so they aware the situation and will stop using or referring customer to them. read more

The technician will not even ring the bell neither give you call when he arrived for service, but just leave his business card on the door and leave the place. I called Precision Television in April to repair my 70 inch tv. They immediately knew the panel that was needed, very professional, and called Sharp right away. The panel was NLA (No longer available) and they found this out after checking out several places where they might find one. The tech took the time to call me back, walked me through who to call, what to say, how to say it -all of it. Bottom line is my new tv is on the way because of a lemon law he told me about. First and foremost... I have a Sony TV and it stopped working (after 1 year and 11 months). Warranty is up and they told me to call this company, Precision Television. I called yesterday... No answer and I left a message... No call back. I called today and they didn't answer and it kept saying I'm 5 min away from speaking with someone. I got a text that says, "Hello this is Daisy, with Precision Services. As a courtesy, we have the ability to assist you via text message. Please advise us how we may assist you with your claim at any time during business hours Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm." They go on to ask which TV I have. I text them Sony XBR75X940C. They tell me this... "I apologize, after confirming it looks like your unit is a 75" TV , we are not staffed to run a 2 man job at the moment". For one... That's horrible service to me. How could you be an authorized repair shop and not be able to help. I know you don't have 1 person working! Secondly, my TV cost $10k and they send me to a repair shop with a 1.8 star rating from Google and no better on here. I'm koo off these folks... I had Precision TV out in November 2016 repair my Samsung TV which had a faulty power supply. The tech was good and seemed to know what he was talking about. The cost was $500 for the part and the service. Eight months later I'm having the same problem. Precision TV informed me that there was only a 60-day warranty on parts and labor. I guess I should've read the fine print. At any rate...not worth the time and money, I should've just bought a new TV. read more

My experience with Precision TV was totally different compared to other negative reviews. I yelp Precision TV as soon as Samsung appointed PT for my TV repair, after reading all the negative reviews I was really hesitant for a bit. Then a day later PT called me as promised by Samsung (that the repair shop will reach out within a day or two), Bill was over the phone asking me what exactly is wrong with my TV, I took couple pictures and sent to him via txt then within a minute he told me the whole tv panel needs to be replaced, he said it will take couple days to get the parts in and scheduled me for an in home appt 7 days from now. The day before my appt, PT called, informed me of the appt time, which was between 8-12. At around 11am on the appt day, the tech called said he would be here within 20-30min, showed up, took the tv apart, replaced the panel and he was done within 30mins. So, I have a Samsung dryer I purchased at Lowe's, which is still under warranty. The lights in the digital display were not displaying the time correctly, but otherwise the dryer worked fine. Lowe's sent Precision Television out to fix the display, which they did, BUT...... now the dryer no longer works!!!!!! Ok, stuff happens, I get it. I called Precision TV to let them know that my dryer, which worked fine when they were out, is no longer working. Instead of sending someone out right away to fix the issue, they said I have to call Lowe's and open a new claim. Open a new claim?! Are you kidding me?!! How is this a Lowe's issue? How is this even a warranty issue? They came to my house and broke my appliance, this should be their problem to clean up. This is the WORSE customer service I have received in a very long time. So I call Lowe's to let them know and they opened a new claim. Have a Samsung fridge, placed a call to the home depot and they said I have an appointment for this coming Monday, but I should call to confirm that Precision Appliance had received the ticket. Call Precision Appliance and spoke to the most unfriendly / unpleasant woman I've ever spoken to (made my ex seem like a real treat). None the less, call there, speak to her, she says, "We have the ticket but we can't confirm your appointment until our processing department validates whether your appliance has a warranty coverage on it. We'll get back to you in 2 business days..." Ummmm, it's Friday!?!?!? That means Tuesday I'll get a call but the Depot said you would be out on Monday. She says, "Well, I don't know what to tell you... Hope you have a nice weekend and hung up on me. If this is the contracted service department for the Home Depot, Lowe's and others, all I can say is this place sucks. I may be selling the refrigerator after it's fixed and never again buy Samsung or buy it through the home depot. Precision Appliance's front facing customer service lacks big time and whoever the drone was I spoke to on the telephone needs a swift kick in the butt along with a lesson or two in professional conduct. read more

*Update* My TV was finally fixed on 3/10/2017. It took them TWO MONTHS. Half of my TV went black on January 15. Samsung told me I'd hear within 2 days from a repair company. A week later, Precision Services responded, then took another week to bother to order the part. When the part came in, they didn't call me. I called to ask wtf and they're like oh it came in, guess we should schedule that repair! They finally came out on February 10th to do the repair, and the replacement part was BROKEN. My heart sank, because I knew this was destined to become an epic ordeal. True to form, I received no follow up about replacing the part for weeks, and was constantly told "supply dept is handling this not me, I'll check with them." Also, forget trying to get any help from their "triage" support email address. I sent them two messages nearly a month ago and no one responded. i think the person who's supposed to be checking it DIED and is now a ghost haunting repair jobs. read more

Sears uses them for repairing products that have been bought through Sears. They do not keep their appointments or have a problem scheduling appointments. It was bad enough working directly with Sears before they went out of their store purchases. Precision needs to figure out how to service all the previous Sears customers! read more
