I could not make my appointment because I'd been in the ER the night before and was basically accused of having a drug problem when asked if I would take a tox screen & I said I could not come in. Rose just hung up on me and said "ok, bye." Just. Hung. Up. When I called back and asked to speak to her she rudely said "I thought the conversation was over." NOPE! When you abruptly hang up on someone, the conversation isn't over. How dare anyone question a patient's inability to keep an appointment when they've been treated in an ER the night prior & it was not remotely related to my chronic pain. I have zero history of substance abuse & would have happily peed in a cup if I could've kept the appointment. But, I was dismissed, demeaned, and not listened to. I felt horrible. I guess everything happens for a reason and I'm glad I didn't wind up in this joke of an office. Seriously stay away. Ps. Interesting that there is a glowing review of Rose & the doctor from the same day my appointment was scheduled to see their NP because I was told Dr. Villanueva was not in the office. I have multiple emails and messages from Rose that Dr. Villanueva was not present. Seems a little odd, no?!

I had a deeply concerning experience with OSS after being told (3 days and 2 calls post CAT scan)…read morethat surgery for my Type II tibial plateau fracture would be too difficult and instead I should wait to develop serious arthritis and then get a knee replacement. Two independent orthopedic specialists at UCLA and USC Keck disagreed, explaining that the surgery was relatively common. I subsequently had the surgery successfully completed one day after receiving second opinions, since timely surgery was important. The incorrect information I received from a physician's assistant (not a doctor) at OSS delayed the needed surgery and could have had life-altering consequences. I will not return to OSS and would strongly recommend that patients facing serious orthopedic decisions avoid them/ always seek a second opinion.

Regular mouthguards didn't do anything for me because I just clenched into them. I was in so much pain. My head, neck and jaw pain has drastically been reduced, and I am finally not clenching as much anymore.
