This guy is dishonest, he tries to upsell things that are way over priced. He refers you out to get xrays and ct scans/MRl's, if you say no, he then tells you" you're going to tell people you went to a chiropractor and when they ask you if they took and Xray, you're gonna say no, and people are going to say, what type of chiropractor is he?" But then he doesn't have the Xray machine there refers you out, and when you say ok I'm going to take the Xray and come back, he then magically decides to do the procedure. He says... well I can get you adjust and use this machine for now and come back when you take the Xray. He then says i have this machine that patients ask for it. Wait a minute.... Is he the doctor? Or are the patients the doctors? And just because other patients ask for that machine to be used on them, how does he know I need that, yet if I want to use this machine. Just ways to take advantage of people and charge. I came here because of the reviews, but do your research! I have a friend who also came here around the same time I did and we were talking after about our experience and it was the same thing. I thought each person is different yet, he's recommended the sandwich things and told us the exact same things. Don't buy anything he recommends. He is a crook, unethical and a upselling practice. He and his assistant basically pressure you to buy a pillow and unnecessary overpriced things. I compared prices and he triples the price of the pillow. I, finally, found the right awesome Chiropractor, Dr. Heshmat. I'm so grateful I came here about 2 months ago. I had a herniated disc problem, C5-6 on my neck area. Also, pinched nerves were causing numbness, tingling from my right shoulder down my arm all the way to my index finger. Dr Heshmat's way of assessing, focused in on the exact area where my tight muscles are, the front neck and chest area. Dr Hesmat is like no other chiro I've experienced. He is all about the holistic approach and as long as you committed to yourself towards living a life of no pain or manageable pain he is your go specialist. In the past I've gone to chiros once a week to get my weekly adjustments however saw improvement and rather become more of a dependancy. With Dr. Hesmat, he came up with a plan and timeframe of the work included and now rather than seeing someone weekly, after 6 months I see him about once a month for maintenance. Doctor Heshmat is an Awesome Chiropractor! I remember when I first came in I came in for back issues and spasms I encountered on my right abdominal and right flank area. I remembered my spasms like some taking a knife and stabbing me repeatedly over and over again. After a few months of Doctor Heshmat's treatments I haven't experienced anymore spasms, knock on wood! Doctor Heshmat treats you like he's your own Family. He's currently treating me for an Achilles rupture, and I must say my recovery time is phenomenal. I had my injury back in August 14th and it's almost been two months and I'm already able to bare weight on my right foot and able to walk around with my air cast with out a knee rover/walker. I'm a typical Bay Area software engineer, and as such, I sit front of my computer all day, work long hours, and spend way too much of my away-from-computer time hunched over, staring at my phone. My bad habits and posture over the years have caused a gradual onset of chronic upper back, shoulder and neck pain. Words do not describe how grateful I am to have found an awesome Chiroprator, Dr Heshmat. As an active individual , I have never been injured just up to 3 months ago. I injured my right shoulder at work and after weeks of searching I finally found a great chiro. Dr Heshmat is incredibly knowledgeable, truly educated and very effective on the body and muscles. I started going to Dr. Heshmat about two weeks ago when I had an incredibly bad backache. It's kind of been a chronic issue, and has flared up once before in the past that nearly had me bed-ridden. I did NOT want to get to that state, especially with two out of town vacations coming up two weekends in a row, one of which being a bachelorette party to Vegas. I work in healthcare, constantly hunched over to do my work and Dr. Heshmat was recommended to me by a patient of mine. So when my back flared up, I had my administrative assistant call and schedule me with one of three referrals. Dr. Heshmat's office was the only one that could get me in for same-day treatment, and it was even on a day that they're not typically open! When I walked in, I was greeted professionally and was well taken care of by everyone on staff. Dr. Heshmat was easy to talk to, and let me tell you, the guy doesn't sugar coat. He told me that my back ache is primarily due to my lack of stretching and exercising, and basically told me I have a body of a 65 year old (I'm 32), and if I don't take care of my body now, essentially I will have to retire early because my body wouldn't be able to handle it. He took the time to explain to me what would happen in the future, the exact reason why I have back pain now (muscles too tight and pulling my hips and spine out of alignment), and got me treated. I can see that Dr. Heshmat genuinely cares and wants to get me out of pain ASAP and doesn't want this condition to relapse. I've been to a few chiropractors before, and they always just shuttled me in and out, treated my pain, and that was it. Never told me how to prevent it, never took the time to explain why this is happening, etc. I truly appreciate Dr. Heshmat and his staff in bending over backwards to take care of my needs, and getting me out of pain so efficiently and effectively! read more

Today I came here for my 3rd acupuncture session with Minal Patel. It's great to be able to get chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage here in the same clinic, all covered within my insurance plan for chiropractic care. My first 2 acupuncture sessions here this past month were to focus on some tightness and minor pain in my lower back and arms/wrists, as I do a lot of physical work as a massage therapist and marathon runner (both help me with my endurance). For those 2 sessions Minal applied needles in my neck and shoulders, lower back, wrists, and ankles. She also applied cupping to my upper back and lower back which was interesting - strong suction, like the opposite of massage but similar effects. Today I had some acupuncture applied to my face - right jaw, ears, ankles, wrists, and hands, to help with some pain in my jaw and hands, as I massaged a client with TMJ earlier this week, and maybe I inherited some of her pain...? No cupping today. The acupuncture here seems good. My pain seems to have gone down afterwards or recurrence is much smaller. My first experience with acupuncture last year was a little painful as one of the needles hit me with sharp pain in the hand; other needs were OK. That was at Five Branches in San Jose. But here it's not that painful. The needles are small so I just feel a small sting from each one, less painful that a typical blood draw or a blood donation needle, which I'm used to every month. The nice thing here is that I can try acupuncture, massage, and chiro, and mix them all together to be able to help myself in different ways, as the body reacts differently to each type of treatment. read more

They both did an excellent job and Minal really took the time to understand what my specific issues were and tailor her acupuncture treatment to relieve some of the stress and pain I was feeling. I trust him very much and I know he has never deceived me for my money the way most chiropractors do. First off, I was very impressed with the customer service from the moment I walked into this clinic. Magali was friendly, warm and efficient. That professionalism continued through to my meeting with Dr. Rafia who took the time to first understand my condition and its history. He was articulate, thoughtful in his approach, and explained vital bits of information about my condition. Then came the treatments using Acuscope and the Theragun, which both left me feeling quantifiably better! I walked into the clinic feeling as if I were strung together with steel rods and wires and left with a 5-10 degree improvement in the range of motion in my neck, my shoulders and back no longer burned with pain, and overall I felt like I was walking taller. I got a call from the office to find out how I am managing during the pandemic. My last appointment was in 2017 and I am pleased that the Electo Acuscope treatments I received could last for several years. After receiving these treatments I felt much much better in my lower back, legs and feet. I then received several physical therapy appointments through my medical clinic in order to learn some exercises that might help. Those exercises did help and have kept the back pain in check for these last several years. But I think it will be time to have another set of Electro Acuscope treatments once the pandemic is better under control. I know those treatments make a big difference. I'll keep it simple... The electric pulse-type therapy was okay - painful but sort of worked to make it better, but never made it back to being fully healed (which they said it would) and I stopped because it was getting expensive without real results. Staff was friendly enough, although the people actually doing the treatments (which was rarely Dr. Heshmat) didn't seem to have much background experience or knowledge in medicine or the specific treatments I was receiving. The real issue I have had is with their billing department. They assured me I was in-network and my treatments would all be fully paid by my insurance - then they made a mistake and billed all of my treatments as out of network which resulted in a lot of confusion and about 4 months of back-and-forth with my insurance company to get it straightened out. Then, two months later, I received about 10 appointments worth of bills/benefits explanations from my insurance from Heshmat again...for appointments I didn't have... Turns out they had accidentally been billing me for another patient's services because that patient had the same first name. The same first name?!? Don't you check last names when patients come in? I mean really - come on... AND then that resulted in another 6 months of confusion with my insurance company. Even though I should have been pissed, I was very nice and accommodating in helping them work out the issue with my insurance to get it fixed. I figured "mistakes happen" and just let it go... AND THEN ? Here we are, almost a year later, and they had the nerve to send me a small bill for the little amount of money that I may or may not owe them. I don't even know if the bill is legit because the process has been so convoluted and riddled with mistakes that I have completely lost track! It would be one thing if I had a large outstanding bill with them that effected their practice's profitability, but to send a minor bill (about $100) after costing me 10 months of waiting to fix it all (meanwhile my chiropractic insurance was held hostage and I couldn't go get any treatments until this was cleared up), and countless hours of excruciating phone calls with my insurance company to resolve an issue that was completely their fault - now THAT pissed me off. If they had an ounce of customer service awareness, they would never send such a bill. Instead, I now have to spend more hours going back to figure out why they think I owe this money, call my insurance, call them... Seriously - can we just be done with this?? read more
