I was referred to Dr. Joey and SoCal Brain and Spine Center by a trusted friend after getting involved in a car accident. From the first visit to the last, it was evident that Dr. Joey leads his practice with care and kindness at the forefront. The intake tests seemed scientific and daunting, but Dr. Joey was careful to explain each test and its function, and developed a treatment plan for me based on my deficiencies in certain areas of balance and coordination. I especially enjoyed the little games that both got my head spinning and helped improve cognition. It is very difficult to say how I feel about Dr.K and his professionalism on his practice. The only things I can say is that he is very friendly, knowledgeable and have good heart in treating his patients. Having good heart as a doctor is very important in today's world as most of them just want to make as much money as they could. Most of the doctors would not have the patience to listen carefully to patient's concern. However, he will give you time and he will check with you every time and listen to your problems and your progress each time before he starts his treatment. I have dizziness and cannot walk straight and always feel like I am sitting on a boat for more than 10 months. I have been to many different doctors, ENT, Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, and Neurologist. No one can find out what has happened to me. Lucky to me that I found Dr. K through my search over Google and Yelp and finally I made an appointment to see Dr. K few months ago. He used different tools to check and came up with a plan to treat my dizziness. After 3 months of treatment, I am getting a lot better than before and I think I might recover 70-80% already. I also have headache and lower back pain and Dr. K has helped me treat those as well. For the past few years, I cannot sleep well and Dr. K has introduced me to take some supplements and they did help me sleep a lot better and I have more energy now than before. I first started working with Dr. Joseph after I had unrelieved issues with a hamstring/glute injury that began in 2017- I received treatment from other professionals such as PTs, chiropractors and general fitness coaches/individuals with sport injury experience that were helpful in their own way, but minimally effective overall for my issue. I accumulated many poor movement patterns as my body tried to compensate for my injury (despite no longer any pain) and I'm glad I took the chance to work with Dr. Joseph, as he has been a major factor in me making progress towards my recovery and reversing poor movement patterns.
