After trying acupuncture and even strong medications, I still did not experience the relief I desperately needed. I was especially hesitant to move forward with an epidural due to a traumatic experience I had in the past while I was pregnant and in labor at a different facility with another physician. At that time, epidurals are typically performed without imaging, especially in an urgent labor setting, which contributed to my distress. I had a horrible experience with this office, and this is your warning to stay away…read more I was extremely clear that I did NOT want NAD+ added to my treatment because it was not being billed through insurance and I did not agree to pay for it separately. I never received a separate NAD+ IV, and at no point was I clearly told that NAD+ was being added to my regular IV bag. Then afterward, I was sent a $250 invoice for NAD+ that I do not believe I ever received. When I questioned the charge, I was suddenly told that the NAD+ had supposedly been mixed into my regular IV bag. That explanation makes absolutely no sense based on what was communicated to me during the appointment. I specifically declined this treatment. If something is being added to a patient's IV, especially something they already said they did not want and would not pay for, that should be clearly explained and consented to beforehand -- not claimed afterward once a bill is questioned. The communication and billing surrounding this were completely unacceptable and seriously damaged my trust in this provider. Patients should know exactly what is being put into their IV and exactly what they are agreeing to pay for before treatment begins. Based on my experience, I would absolutely stay away from this office.
