I dropped my brand new BMW off @ 9:00 am to have all of the windows tinted as I have very sensitive eyes. At 3:30 I called and was told that it would be an additional 2.5 hours. I was a bit upset as they had my car for 6.5 hours already. I decided to drive by on my way home from work at 4:15 & found that my car hadn't even been looked at or moved. No one had even been in the car since I dropped it off @ 9:00am. They had my car for over 7 hours and had accomplished nothing. Super disappointing. I asked for my key and was given an excuse of "sorry our system was down" yet there were 4 cars being worked on which were not there when I dropped my car @ 9:00 am. A simple phone call asking me to bring my car back another day or clearly communicating that they were obviously overbooked would have gone a long way. I took my keys and left. Horribly inconsiderate of my time and they couldn't have cared less about the inconvenience they caused. I'll be taking my car somewhere else and letting the BMW dealership know about my experience so they don't send any more of their clients here. read more

I honestly couldn't have had a better experience getting my car tinted here with Phong. It was such an easy process and Phong was so knowledgeable. I read a lot of reviews about it being difficult to get in touch with anyone by phone so I made sure I called right at opening at 9am. I was able to get in touch with someone without any issues and made an appointment on a Saturday (which was about 2 weeks out from when I called). I arrive on time and Phong was already waiting for me. He explained the types of tints and the benefits of certain ones compared to others. I went for a darker tint because I had a white seat tesla and he said it usually looks like less of a tint due to the brightness of the seats inside the car. The entire process took about 3 hours and looked amazing! I am so happy with my tint. The tint is also completely insured if it starts to bubble or fade. What made this place over the top and deserve 5 stars it that Phong was so detailed with his install and went over top the with the job. I installed PPF and ceramic coating the week before but went a bit overboard on the ceramic coat especially on the glass. He was nice enough to even it out for me and take off the excess. He also gave me a bunch of tips on how to get some of the bubbles out of the PPF. He spent over 30 mins giving tips about my car and also doing a detailed inspection on stuff I didn't notice and ways to maintain everything. The service was amazing and also had such a small business and friendly feel which you don't get a lot of anymore now a days. 100% would come back. Highly recommend for any detail work you need. When you're here, Lu and his Nephew don't treat you like a customer, they treat you like family. Lots of exotic cars here but they treat all cars with TLC. You're not going to find anyone more honest than Lu and his Nephew, you may find better price but don't expect the same quality. I came here to have my 2005 Lexus re-tinted and it got to be a bigger problem than I imagine. Ended up I had a new back window put in (no fault of theirs, had inferior material installed 12 years ago and the glue separated from the tint). Lu had his vendor come and install a new back window and finished up the job the next day to perfection. Lu cleaned up afterwards and left no trace.. just a my car with the tint I wanted The next week I came here and had Lu polish and put a protective film on my headlight. Sure you could've use toothpaste or 3M kit but all said and done, the end result may be hard to match what Lu can do and at the cost he does the work for, it's not worth doing it yourself. Get this: Front windows tinted at 35% Wash Wax Polish I did a ton of research into tinting places and detailing places before giving my business to Lu. First: tinting. My tint job looks really good. I ordered 45, which means 45% of the light reaches the interior from outside. I wanted the front windows to somewhat match the back, Although you have to be careful because California state law prohibits tinting and requires 70% of light reach the cabin. So basically, you don't want to tint too much or you may be cited. I also didn't wanna look like a complete gangsta. I know, it's a tough balancing act. Long story longer I would recommend you go with 35. Still light enough that the cops won't bug you but dark enough look cool. Cost $140, compared with $220 in the city. On to the wash, wax, and polish. I've had my new cars detailed at very good places in San Francisco. California Detailing and Auto Spa. I called California Detailing and they have raised their detailing price from $300 four years ago to $500. Since my question is only a month old, there was little to do inside except a light vacuum. But the outside looks magnificent and it only cost me $230. Bottom line, even if you live in San Francisco or Oakland you can grab a Lyft line for $25 or have a friend take you and buy them lunch at Fish in Sausalito. That's what I did and I'm thrilled. read more
