This place replaced the glass window of the hard top of my 911 convertible. Originally, the original owner of the car got this taken care of under their insurance and they mentioned that it would take a few months to get the glass since it had to come from Germany. Within the time that they performed the work, the owner sold me the vehicle and I took delivery of the vehicle on December 8 The glass seemed ok at the time, however, shortly after the interior seal came undone. I tried calling them to resolve the issue and they mentioned that they would not warranty the repair due to the change of ownership, however, I tried to explain that this happened due to a poor install, however, they didn't budge in helping even though they did a poor job read more

When a major automotive glass replacement provider told me it would take over a week to replace the shattered rear windshield in my BMW X3, I did my homework and found Auto Glass Now (San Rafael location), who was able to schedule and complete the work in just 2 days. Based on my experience, I now know why Auto Glass Now has solid reviews on Google, starting with Kealie in the front office, who has impeccable customer service skills--she's professional, kind, warm and helpful both on the phone and in-person. She was on top of communications with my insurance company and helped me deal with a complicated supplemental claim. Martin, the service technician who completed the glass replacement, did a great job (swept out all of the shattered glass in the back) and made sure I understood what not to do in the first 24 hours. It was pouring rain when I left the shop and I'm happy to report that there is no leaking whatsoever -- YAY! It's not often that I have positive experiences dealing with automotive service providers, which is why I wanted to share my experiences with Auto Glass Now -- I'm a fan and 10/10 recommend. read more

Can't recommend. Installed our windshield through Mercury Insurance. I have not been able to get the windshield "clean". Always looks like there is something on it (like bad sealant on the glass). Seal has failed and it has taken 3-4 attempts to get it fixed. Installer has been calling in sick or is late etc. very frustrating. read more

Recently had my windshield on 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid replaced...after not one, not two, not three, but four separate visits. The incompetence and lack of care and customer service on all points is staggering . On the first visit as I arrived, parked in their driveway, we then get a notice that the technician will not be in due to car trouble. Second visit after the install, the technician takes our car out for what we were told to do a dynamic recalibration that was suppose to be five minutes..gone for nearly 25 minutes. as we drive away, as the sun light hit our windshield just so...we notice at least a dozen fingerprints on the windshield and all over our interior mirror. Figuring this was just sloppy workmanship, I would just clean it when I returned home. cleaned the mirror, but no matter what I used I couldn't remove the fingerprints..cleaned both sides to no avail. The receipt said what was performed was a static calibration. Onto our third trip, it was determined the fingerprints were embedded into a class layer during production. Where was the quality control from the manufacture and why didn't the class technician inspect the class before installing after telling us this class company has had similar past issues. So the office personnel has to order another windshield from a different company whose company is better regarded for quality. So why , if they knew, would they order an inferior windshield in the first place. Finally on our fourth trip, we're told the technician is running 10 minutes late..shows up a half hour late. We get the car back in a timely manner only because the technician chose to do a static recalibration...makes me suspect that the tech had taken our car out to lunch the first time when we were told it was a five minute dynamic recalibration that took twenty five minutes. Driving home, I notice the dash just covered with "debri particles " from replacing the windshield. Don't know if autoglassnow are independent franchises but if this is standard of how they run their business..it is a business I would do everything to boycott the business. Unfortunately, Yelp ratings don't have the option of zero or negative stars. My advice...DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!! Lastly, I hope this review impacts there business negatively until they get their act together ...be accountable, be transparent and do your job right! read more

I had a terrible experience with this company and recommend that you choose a different place to get your glass work done. It took multiple attempts to get the correct glass for my car, and that meant that I wasted one afternoon and one full morning off of work trying to get the work completed. They did offer me a discount, but then when the work was finally completed, they charged me more than their quote, and they couldn't explain why. Very, very frustrating experience. read more

If your insurance company send you to this company, DON'T ACCEPT IT!!! First attempt, they never called me back to set up the appointment, then second attempt they set up the service at my home but then 5 minutes before the appointment called and said they had to have the car come to their shop, so I set it up, the appointment was for 2 weeks later, so went to the appointment, walked around the area the shop was in for over an hour and then noticed that my car hadn't moved. When I came back they told me that they had the wrong glass and I would have to wait until they find other glass...I took my car and will not go back. Do not recommend, seems like they really don't want to be in this business. read more

The worst experience I've ever had with an auto glass company. Scheduled an appointment for 8/1 8am, the installer calls in sick and I am not notified til after I get there. I reschedule for 8/4 8am, get there right at 8 and no one is there. Call the office and she says he's on the way. I wait 30 minutes and still no one. Call the office again to complain and she tells me they couldn't have completed the job today anyways because the parking lot was being worked on. Who does business like this read more

Martin at All Star Glass in San Rafael knows what he is doing and does not overcharge for it. Great experience getting my windshield replaced on my 2017 Honda Odyssey. He also did a side mirror replacement that was not covered by insurance. Pro tip: I was pleasantly surprised that I had "glass replacement" insurance as part of my Geico policy, which brought the deductible down to $50 instead of the $500 deductible that applies to other work/repairs. I will now make certain all future auto policies have the Glass Replacement coverage. read more

TO YELP READERS After 18 years of driving, I got my first ever cracked windshield. And I drive a lot. My insurance company referred and set me up with All Star Glass within 24 hrs! Awesomeness: - They came to my place to fix it. How freaking convenient (as I am in high productivity mode right now). Sooo cool! I don't know or care if this is standard, I super appreciate this feature of their service and the execution of the service. - It cost me 60% less than my dealership would have charged (I called). - Was able to fit me in immediately. TO COMPANY Hi All Star Glass people! I want to say thank you so much for your service. I was on the phone as Carlos was completing the windshield work and I didn't get to properly thank him. So I called and got Jessica (who was also pretty pro with a cheerful attitude). Carlos, you did great work! Probably routine work for you but I super appreciate that you fixed my windshield and added new wipers. I use my car A LOT for work and you saved me a lot of time and stress. It's really nice not to have to sit in line anywhere. Thank you so much for driving all the way to Richmond! Thank you and have a wonderful and fulfilling new year! read more

Auto Glass Now - I've finally had my first cracked windshield and it was an awesome experience to have someone come to my house to fix it! So convenient! - Auto Glass Services Near Me - San Rafael, California

Nothing like a little smash and grab auto burglary in the city when you're already feeling low & poor. I like all of my money to go towards food, but I can't exactly be driving a vehicle without a window, so I was forced to replace it. Of course, the *sshole broke the window at dusk or maybe later, so I was forced to drive home at 9 pm & do a little online search. I found All Star Glass & liked that I was able to do an online quote which came to around $204. This amount was a pleasant surprise, but I didn't think it would remain that low once a live person contacted me in the morning. Surprise again. The mobile window repair person came to me (from across the other side of the bay which was included in the price) for $214- less than my deductible & not worth reporting losses since the insurance doesn't cover anything not bolted to the car. (You may want to check your policy before you go to the trouble of filing a police report like I did if this happens to you.) The repair person was very nice, super fast & even went over & beyond & vacuumed the broken glass inside the car. Thank you All Star Glass. You made a major inconvenience a heck of a lot more convenient! read more

I got estimates from several places about replacing my '17 Subaru Outback windshield. Since it has the more advanced tech, it is way pricier than a plain one. All Star came in several HUNDRED dollars lower so I made an appointment. I met Martin at their no-frills shopfront and took a walk while he changed things out and calibrated it. On time, friendly and professional service and a new windshield with fully functional Eyesight calibrated correctly. Hurrah! Then a week later, I get a chip from a gravel truck in front on me. Quickly call All Star, and they offer a home visit in a few days, or if I can bring it to shop again they will fit me in right away. I visit my new friend Martin, five minutes later my chip is fixed, and now several months later I can report all is well. Will never shop around in the future for auto glass work--All Star has it going on. read more

These guys are awesome! They replaced my glass for way less than the dealership, installed it correctly, quickly and pleasantly. I was very happy! I was offered a complimentary water bottle and one of the guys, I can't remember his name, sorry, saw that I had a sugar skull magnet on my car and gifted me a beautiful red sugar skull mask!! If you don't call that above and beyond service and care with a smile and generous heart and spirit, I don't know what is! I highly recommend these guys and will definitely be a repeat customer when and if the need arises in the future!! Thanks so much for making my crappy broken windshield experience as nice as it possible could have been! read more

If there are 6 starts I would have given to them. Superb service, quick and efficient. Love "Martin" - he is a very customer service oriented type of person, easy to talk to and quick. He explained the issue, resolved it and done - all in 10 minutes. Very recommended for any glass service you may have. I will definitely return to these guys. Keep up the excellent job Martin. Nice meeting you and a BIG "Thank you" for a job well done. read more

I made an appointment at the San Rafael store weeks ago on the morning of the appointment. I called to check that they were open and operating since there were thunderstorms and power outages in the area. The woman in Oakland would not put my call through to the shop but said that she had spoken to them earlier and they repair people were there. I asked her to connect me to the store itself to make sure and she refused at the proper time I drove to the store. It was closed, locked the signs were not visible All-Star glass wasted hours of my time they should not be trusted. read more

My car is basically my life, and it's really hard for me to pass over the keys for anyone to do anything to it. However a windshield replacement is something I just can't do myself. Huge points to Martin, who was incredibly nice, fast, and did a great job. No glue spilled, great alignment, and 2 months in with no leaks! I wouldn't recommend anywhere else for a windshield replacement. The price was really cheap, but its clear Martin takes huge pride into his work and it shows. read more

I'm glad that I decided to use All Star glass instead of Safelite, people kept telling me to use Safelite, but I shopped around and found that All Star was cheaper, and they don't charge to dispose of your old windshield!!! As soon as I submitted a quote, they contacted me immediately to set up appointment, and they did a awesome job! I definitely recommend them. read more

After waiting for 3 1/2 hrs in the allotted time they gave me, (8-12), they call me and let me know that they will be late, and should be there around 1 pm. My only day off, I'm stuck at home waiting for them to come and they didn't show enough courtesy to let me know I was the last one on the list to be serviced. ( they knew this in the beginning of the morning). I cancelled. I need dependable service. I notified my insurance company. End of story. Hope this is helpful. read more

Okay, maybe I only seem to write rave reviews because (1) I hate dissing people, but, (2) much more importantly, I always check Yelp when in need of a business. So, that's how I found All Star Glass, and twice now, they have been out-freaking-standing. Almost a year ago, my rear windshield on my Windstar blew out. At first we believed it was vandalism: turns out it was probably because our ABS shorted out and fried the entire electrical system, making the auto-defrost in the rear window hyper-heat and explode! Yippee! Anyway, called All Star and a great guy named Carlos came out the next day with the exact replacement we needed and had everything fixed and ready to go in less than an hour. SOOOOO... a few days ago, I went out to my car and THIS time some sorry excuse for a human had indeed smashed the windshield in. (They left the rock to prove it.) Sure didn't need the headache, but I called All Star again and the very next day, I was fortunate enough to have Carlos return as the repair person. He was awesome, friendly, just a great guy who works for a great company. No one needs a shattered window. But if it happens, All Star Glass will take care of you. I hope it never happens again, but .... You know who I'll call if it does. read more

I did not even notice the tiny crack on my windshield until my husband pointed it out. I don't know when and how it got there. The crack was smaller than a quarter but he was worried it might get worse. Found this company after an online search. He called first thing in the morning to inquire whether they could repair it. They said yes but we had to schedule an appointment. It was a good thing that they were able to accommodate us in the afternoon. We were in and out in half an hour and $49 poorer for it. 'can't complain though...it could have been worse. read more

Pros: * Easy to set-up an appointment * Guy came on time * Windshield was replaced with no issues * The rep was nice and took the time to explain how to care for the windshield over the following few days * Very patient and professional No cons other than I hate spending money on something like a windshield! read more

the men were courteous and efficient. I was wondering when i set up the appointment if it would be easier for them at the shop -- she said 'oh no, either way would be fine ' and set the appointment. they came at the right slot of time, calling ahead and when the young man came - he set it up and another man came a short while after -- so that's teamwork to get it done. very clean and very smooth. took about 40-50 minutes - I'd guess. it's so nice to see so clearly with the new windshield. read more

Dear fellow Marin-ites. You're busy. You have a lot going on in your lives. When your windshield cracks or breaks, you need it taken care of post haste. You need a hassle-free experience. You DO NOT need to have someone give you a four hour window on a Saturday, show up at the last minute of that window, and tell you that they are missing a critical part that must be ordered and shipped. You don't need that in your life. So I recommend you go to Marin Auto Glass, Duran's, or Safelite. Call ahead to make sure that they have the windshield and are open. Do not waste your time with All-Star because for me, All-Star gets zero stars. read more

all star glass is rude, arrogant, and RECORDS all your calls. This is a triple zero for me..STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

I had two windows broken in my car yesterday and when I contacted glass repair places, they were all closed. All Star Glass was recommended to me by a friend. I called first thing in the morning, got a quote and set up an appointment for the afternoon. Carlos came to my place in Richmond to replace the windows and called when he was about 10 minutes away. It took about an hour to replace the windows and he even swept up the glass in my parking space. They will also clean the glass out of your car, however I had already taken care of most of it the night before. Would highly recommend All Star Glass! read more

Rude, Arrogant, unprofessional with 0 understanding what being on time or showing up at all actually means. The BEST customer service I have ever experienced. If I ever have another glass issue this is where I'm spending my money.

Outstanding quick and economical service. After being stood up by another very large glass company I called All Star glass in San Rafael. The appointment process was easy and the cost was well below what others quoted. Carlos came out to our house and was courteous and professional and on time He made quick work of the replacement and vacuumed out all the broken glass and left the car cleaner then when he arrived. The price of the glass and installation was $100.00 less then what the other place wanted for just the glass. read more

Charged more than $100 over local company price. Would only take appointment at 8 am and then would not rebook for days.
