Stumble upon this place because it was the closest to our Airbnb, When we arrived, I explained clearly that my sister wanted a pedicure and acrylic nails, my daughter only wanted regular polish on her toes and gel on her hands, and I would just be getting a pedicure. The pedicure my sister received from the lady was great, and the man who did her acrylics did an okay job, but the polish wasn't applied well, missing parts of her nails. Me pedicure was ok, polished was not the best job either! The issue came with my daughter's service. I told the technician we only wanted regular polish on her toes. She informed us that the color we picked was only available in gel, so we selected a different color and the technician said ok. While I was briefly distracted with work on my phone, the technician went ahead and used gel polish on my daughter's toes anyway and then told me it would be extra. This wasn't what we agreed on, and when I addressed it, she simply said it was fine because my daughter liked the color that's already on and she had picked, and that gel lasts longer -- rather than acknowledging the miscommunication or apologizing. Telling me it's only a small extra fee for gel. This experience was disappointing and could have been handled more professionally. The technician who did my daughters nails came out beautiful and she apologized and gave her two free little star design on her nails. Should have listened to the reviews! One of the best nail salon experiences I've had! I came in for a gel X mani and pedi and left feeling so pampered and refreshed. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took their time to make sure everything looked perfect. The salon was clean, relaxing, and had a really welcoming vibe. Came here on Friday and was greeted with friendly staff members. They were really attentive and made me feel welcomed. I got gel x and a gel pedicure and both came out perfect -- went beyond my expectations. My nail tech took her time with my gel x, making sure each nail was applied to perfection without any gaps. After a few days, it's still looks like it's freshly done. The vibe was also very calm, not loud or hectic so it's a great place to relax and have a self- care day. I got black French tips on my toes and the nail tech made sure I was satisfied with the thickness and lining before she curing. The funny thing is, I was actually on my way to a different nail salon when I found this place. I've just moved to the area two weeks ago and have been in search of a new go-to nail salon. I walked in and they took me immediately. I wanted a gel manicure and they sat me down with Cindy. My nails are extremely thin due to gel manicures and I should probably stop getting them. But, what can I tell you, I'm addicted . Cindy did a good job of removing my existing gels without being too rough. I was happy with the shape she filed my nails into, and she did a good job of cleaning up my cuticles. She also gave me a pretty great hand, wrist and forearm massage. Not easy to do when you're having to shove your arm through the small opening in a plexiglass barrier, but she managed. COVID-19 procedures are in place, and the staff all wore masks. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the staff does try to upsell you on services. I was asked whether I wanted a pedicure and an eyebrow waxing (I hardly have eyebrows to begin with). That, and the fact that they force you to pay in cash. (They have an ATM at the front desk.) The price was pretty reasonable too...$32.00 for a gel manicure. I'll probably be back, unless I find another nail salon that knocks my socks off. read more

It have been going here for years. Be sure to ask for pricing before committing to services. i.e. add on for removal of gel/acrylics. Other than that expect to be treated like a Queen. If you are a walk in they bend over backwards to accommodate, but when over-booked you might have to wait. I have never been disappointed with their service. read more

I started coming to this nail salon a few years ago when I was working on the westside. I've been to my share of high and low end nail shops, but Precious Nails & Spa has ended my search. Every employee here performs high-quality work and provides superb hospitality. So even though they do take appointments I never feel the need to schedule one before I show up. I can trust anyone on their team to give me a fabulous manicure, pedicure, massage or hair removal service. In regards to Covid, I assumed they were closed this entire time but I just recently started going back and came to find out that business is still booming. They are all wearing masks and leave plenty of space between customers. They also have the option to be serviced outside. I feel perfectly safe and sanitized. I have no interest in getting my nails done anywhere else besides Precious Nails & Spa - I'd rather paint them myself first or buy press-ons at the store. I went for a manicure and was asked if I wanted a brow wax and I did. I also had a broken thumb nail which was repaired using powder. The nail tech was good. While I was getting a brow wax I consented to having facial hair waxed also. When I got home my my upper right eyelid was burned and in addition there was a scrape area, both jawbone ridges were burned, an area under my nose was burned and under my chin was burned. The wax did not seem to be too warm but the process was repeated several times. It is two days later and I continue to have damage to my skin. read more

I came here and had Kimmi for a pedicure. She cut one toe, which bled. She then cut another toenail so short it also cut my skin. It was cut so short., halfway down the nail bed, and left jagged, that it has turned into an in growing nail which I have been dealing with for over 2 months. I'm very upset about it as I have to constantly bathe it and treat it with neosporin, see podiatrists and it's still not back to how it was before. Don't Even Bother. Dirty Environment. Dirty Tools Not Sanitary The creams and oils they used smell old, or chemicaly. They constantly upsell you on mani pedis. And when it's over and you go to pay, they ask you to use the ATM... LoL and if not, you pay an extra charge for a $40 mani pedi with no color... Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you as a buisness only charge to use a card for purchases under $5. I have nickle and dimeing. Sooo annoying. I simply told the lady, if you didn't nickle and dime me, you would get a tip, but because you want to run up my bill. You get nothing. Well I gave them each a dollar. But I was going to give them $5 to split. When they charged me to use my card... I was like. Did you even sanitize the tools you used on me? I didn't see any credentials on the wall. Fool me once. I won't be back. How do places like this stay in business? Hookers wouldn't even pay these prices for the service rendered. Go somewhere else. Anywhere. I wish my hands didn't itch, but I think they rubbed diffuser oil on my hands and feet.... I don't know what else I can say. Other than, when they ask for more money, they say it's better for you. Overpriced and terrible quality. I went in for a dip powder mani and regular pedi on a Friday night. I was sat down within minutes and had a lovely time with the tech. My friend had recommended this spa claiming some of the cheapest prices in LA. This was not the case - I paid $65 for the dip powder mani ALONE. Another $20 for a regular pedi. I was annoyed as none of this was detailed on their menu of services (basically she could have made up the price and I would have been none the wiser). Moreover, the tech seemed to laugh when I suggested that they update their price list so clients don't question their pricing. Needless to say I left frustrated but sucked it up and tipped assuming the nails were at least worth the money...this was not the case. Barely 24 hours had passed before the top coat began to peel. I went back in on Monday (48 hours later or so) and a tech was kind enough to fix the nails without question. The tech applied two top coats this time and I tipped her for her efforts (despite being incredibly annoyed with the price in the first place she deserved to be compensated). BUT - again within 24 hours my mani began to chip.... It is now Friday (note the new mani top coat on Monday) and one nail is broken, another has begun to peel..... If you love your nails - AND YOUR WALLET - do not visit. read more

Covid saftey alert! Do not go there and save some time and money. They're not following the instructions to keep clients and nail technicians safe. Too many people in the salon... not keeping the 6ft distance from each other. No screen between the technician and the customer... they are not wearing gloves. One customer put her mask down the whole time she was there. Guess what?! Nobody asked her to keep her mask on! And my nails chipped the same day I got it done! The quality of dip powder and pedi were awful didn't last as long as they're supposed to! Went back there to fix the chipped one. I really love how MiMi does pedicures, but I hate how she and the other nail techs talk and gossip about the customers! It's so obvious, it's ridiculous. Also, they try to push you to use the atm, so they'll make an "error" on their card reader that forces the machine to decline your card. Just take cash. I started going to precious nails like 12 years ago? It's a great shop. So great, that yesterday during my visit they showed me how kind and compassionate they really are. Long story short...I had an allergic reaction to some medication I had taken, while my mani pedi was wrapping up. My body turned bright red, I was shaking, sweaty; scary stuff when you have 4 autoimmune issues. My favorite pedicurist Jackie, looked at me and made me lay down in a treatment room for an hour before I even tried to leave. Nevermind the fact that she was done for the day-and the shop was about to close. Tiffany the manager also came to make sure I was OK, reassuring me that I should not feel rushed or embarrassed (because i was mortified), and to stay as long as I needed. Jackie even offered to take me home if I had to leave my car. In the end of it, I felt good enough to make it home. And to my surprise Jackie reached out to me, not only to see of I made it home. She also just texted to see how I was feeling today. It's not easy running a business, let alone a nail shop in a sea of a million in Los Angeles. I can't begin to thank Precious nails enough for their compassionate and kind care, in a very strange and scary situation. Ps- Jackie and Julie are my go to duo! I don't know what kind of shenanigan Yelp is playing with reviews and algorithms right now because they just opened couple weeks ago after covid closure in March and it is impossible for someone to come in before they opened and write a review about it. They are taking safety and sanitization measures and I felt safe. Everyone who is working there are wearing a mask and a face shield, and hopefully you as a customer are wearing a mask too. Please be respectful of everyone's time, make an appointment and arrive 5-10 mins early. Come with cash otherwise be prepared to pay fee for paying with a debit card or getting money from their atm. Dirty salon (fruit flies everywhere) and they use cheap bad products...their gel nail polish didn't dry so they had to take it off and use another color that was the same after I showed them it was still wet. They try to overcharge if you're not paying attention...they charged double bc did the polish twice though no one would walk out of a salon with wet nails. Also fixed one nail and was charged for fixing two. When I told the manager that I was mistakenly being charged twice for one gel polish, she was rude. Though she barely speaks English, she managed to rudely tell me not to come back. I won't! Why would anyone go anywhere where the products are cheap and gel doesn't dry, gets on your clothes even after getting done twice, they charge you extra for services you don't get and then are rude to you. Went in and they told me to comeback in a hour, when I did I waited another 35 for them to tell me to wash my hands. I asked to cut my nails but they didn't and did a poor job cleaning my cuticles, it's only been a week and some of the gel came off already and my cuticles look bad.
