Things I didn't know before I've met Leila: - Threading hair underneath your eyebrow isn't good for your skin at all!!! Don't do it! We only supposed to use tweezers in that sensitive and thin area. Only do threading on the top of the eyebrow, not under. -Places where they thread your eyebrows in less then 10-15 minutes are not really assessing the shape of your face features to give you the best results for YOU. They copy & paste the same shape on each client. In and out the door in 10 minutes? No no no. Stay away from these type of threading salons. They want to see as many clients as possible to maximize profits, and won't give you the attention you need. I highly recommend Leila for brow threading and shaping. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and authentic. She takes her time with each client to insure him or her the best results. When we met for the first time she made some observations on my eyebrow shape that made a positive impact on my overall appearance. Leila takes the time to discuss what she sees and is passionate about her craft. I've been going to different threading salons for the past 10 years and she is absolutely the BEST. Worth every penny. I've never tried her plant-based facials but heard they are excellent. As for parking, there are plenty of metered parking spots around the salon. read more

Leila Morrissi really knows what she's doing with eyebrow shaping, threading, and skincare. She had a salon in Beverly Hills for 38 years and just moved to Santa Monica. Of all the threading places I've been to, I've never gotten such expert consultation and care for my eyebrows. Leila takes great pride in her work and her 100% organic, vegan skincare products. The fresh Persian cucumber toner she used smelled incredible, as did the Persian rosewater. It convinced me to try a facial (my first one ever!!) after threading. The "mini" facial she gave me had 5 rounds of amazing organic, fresh (and edible!) products like pomegranate exfoliant, yogurt + saffron (very expensive!! With benefits like turmeric but even better), and parsley (more vitamin C than citrus or berries). My skin was visibly glowing afterward!! She really does it all. Seriously - read this because I promise that you've finally found the best thing you could do for your skin. The Organic Vegan Facial (Leila literally even travels abroad to get the best and most natural things like the luxe saffron) has given me so much hope. After almost 10 YEARS of hugely struggling with my skin (and thus skin OCD), Leila's vast knowledge and experience (starting when she was 9 yrs old!), changed my relationship with my skin. I have tried endless oral medications, topicals, brands of makeup, face wash, moisturizer, the "best" derms, etc. and never found anything that BOTH nourishes my skin and eliminates breakouts and scars (Leila's stuff works surprisingly quickly too). I actually ENJOY getting facials now. Amazingly, for the first time ever, not a single thing here has irritated my sensitive skin. I LOVE my skin and it's just the beginning. Haven't felt like this since I was a little kid. Leila patiently and thoughtfully answers all of the (endless) questions I ask. I feel like I have truthfully learned so much about skin (she loves teaching you) and have never had care as customized as this. She knows everything about every skin type, tone, age, etc. and uses that knowledge to create custom tweaks and ways of doing things. She only uses 100% natural things because 1. They're beyond effective and 2. She knows so much about all ways to treat skin that she knows what to avoid. She considers the state of your skin when you go, too (came in with sunburn the first time so she used some natural soothing things and no steam during the facial). I found Leila when I was looking for a new threading studio, and I couldn't be more thrilled! I've had a number of negative eyebrow experiences, so I'm always nervous to try new places. Before the appointment she spoke to me on the phone to make sure I felt comfortable with her approach. During the appointment she educated me about my eyebrows and walked me through every step of her process. This is one of the few (and maybe only) times I've been truly happy with my brows. After having such a positive threading experience, I returned for a facial and it did not disappoint. All the products she uses are natural, and she explained the benefits of each product/treatment.
