I went to YB Professional for a Russian manicure, and it was overall a good experience. Transparently, I had not had a Russian manicure before. They explain what it is in detail on their website, and I was intrigued. I really liked the technician and the front desk person. The service was excellent. They offered me a beverage upon arrival, eye patches during my manicure, and sent me home with cuticle oil for continued cuticle care. The manicure was done with extreme precision, and the polish was applied meticulously. The cuticle removal went just a tiny bit too deep on a couple of my nails. The color came out noticeably lighter than the sample on the nail rack, so it's worth asking for a second coat or checking the color in natural light before they proceed. There is limited free parking in front of the salon. The space is small, and the 2 pedicure chairs are quite close to the 4 manicure tables. They required a non-refundable 20% deposit ($18 for a $90 manicure) at the time of making my appointment. But the online booking is easy. They have a loyalty card program and a fun giveaway lottery. read more

Very disappointed in service. I got a Russian Pedicure with gel for $95. Unfortunately, the nail polish chipped on the big toe after eight days. I went to show them, but they could not fix it right away and asked me to wait one hour just to fix one nail polish on ONE toe. It's not worth it to pay $95 for pedicure that chips. I really think they could've accommodated me faster. At least or the very least they could've done is credit me for next time. read more

Quality is the most important factor for me when it comes to nail services. I booked both a Russian manicure and pedicure and paid the required deposits. Unfortunately, the manicure did not meet the standard I expect from Russian nail techniques. The cuticle work lacked the precision and cleanliness I typically receive, and my nails were never cleaned underneath. I was disappointed enough to skip my pedicure appointment and forfeit my deposit. I'm glad I tried the salon, but it ultimately wasn't the right fit for me as I truly value QUALITY. read more

This place is such a gem! I can't believe I found a Russian mani/pedi in PDR! The women are so nice and professional too. The work is superb. Irina (Ira) is such a professional when it comes to her work and she's so sweet and friendly as well. Zhendaya taught me about hard vs soft gel changed my world. I love hard gel (note it does take longer and is a tad more expensive but worth it). I love Masha she's such a great hostess and makes you feel so welcome as soon as you step through the door. The Host: Upon my arrival, I was greeted cheerfully by Julie. I asked a number of questions that were answered thoroughly. She was patient and open. Julie introduced me to the foot massager under the manicure table and offered a face mask and a beverage. The Nail Tech/Artist: Angelina is a skilled nail technician who works with extraordinary attention to detail and great care for the health of my nails. She worked like an artist to polish my nails meticulously. She was efficient and careful...definitely represents the company well. The Business: The studio is clean and organized. The decor is sweet and there is a lovely back room for non-nail services. YB offers amenities unlike any other salon, specifically, tea, water and champagne. I was treated to an electric foot massager while I got my manicure (really great touch!) and I was treated to a face mask while the technician worked on my hands. I got a manicure with clear regular polish and a smart pedicure, I loved it! The customer service was great, they offered me champagne, coffee, tea or water. Since there wasn't anyone there I also got to choose to watch something on the shop's tv. Overall lovely experience from beginning to end! I was warmly welcomed into the premises - lots of light, modern decor and so comfortable. Offered a complimentary face mask or eye patches (I chose the face mask and must have looked a sight putting it on; it was super refreshing coming in from a warm day though). The chairs are very high up, but I'm tall so I didn't need the offered step. I've never had a Russian pedicure before: chair is very cushiony and has massaging features. The technician took such great care with my nails and feet - not in the best shape going in - but with cuticle care, reshaping the nails and a lot of dry skin removal later, a light massaging of cream/oil (not greasy at all) and a lovely nail polish colour - I was done. There is no water involved at all - less chance for infections? I will be back for a manicure and for certain for a pedicure again. And where else can you relax with Martha Stewart on tv making endless breads in such a calming, reassuring way. It was the perfect end to a busy day - way more relaxing than I could have hoped for. I walked in here about a month ago and forgot to right a review! It such a lovely experience getting a pedicure here! From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered drinks and even an eye bag treatment using those under eye patches which was such a thoughtful touch that made the visit feel extra relaxing. Veronica (I believe that was her name) took care of me, and she was absolutely wonderful. So sweet, patient, and skilled! First-ever mani-pedi for this guy, and I'm officially a believer. They were running a little behind, but luckily I wasn't in a hurry. When I walked in, Maria appeared with a giant smile. With champagne. And snacks. And some sticky goopy thing that went under my eyes. Not sure what that last thing was but my skin was softer than a baby's behind afterwards. She told me to put my feet into a massager while I waited and asked me what I wanted to watch. I didn't have anything in mind, so she turned on Great British Bakeoff, which suited the vibes perfectly. Irina, the technician, approached my feet (which had seen better centuries) with the calm precision of a Swiss watchmaker.
