I went to YB Professional for a Russian manicure, and it was overall a good experience…read more Transparently, I had not had a Russian manicure before. They explain what it is in detail on their website, and I was intrigued. I really liked the technician and the front desk person. The service was excellent. They offered me a beverage upon arrival, eye patches during my manicure, and sent me home with cuticle oil for continued cuticle care. The manicure was done with extreme precision, and the polish was applied meticulously. The cuticle removal went just a tiny bit too deep on a couple of my nails. The color came out noticeably lighter than the sample on the nail rack, so it's worth asking for a second coat or checking the color in natural light before they proceed. There is limited free parking in front of the salon. The space is small, and the 2 pedicure chairs are quite close to the 4 manicure tables. They required a non-refundable 20% deposit ($18 for a $90 manicure) at the time of making my appointment. But the online booking is easy. They have a loyalty card program and a fun giveaway lottery.

I was corresponding via text and was told that Rachel was my nail tech. I specifically requested her because she did a good job on my friend. My appointment was at 9:30 and when I arrived, I was waiting for 30 mins before I was approached and told my nail tech was on vacation!! I was then told that someone else can do my nails but it would be gel x (which I didn't want). I attempted to leave before they told me they would make arrangements for Tammy to service me but I had to wait an hour. This was so unprofessional and upsetting given the fact I booked a month in advance and nobody checked the appointments to call the clients to inform them their nail tech went on vacation. My service took 2.5 hours plus the hour I was waiting so I had to pay $15 for parking since the validation only covers 2 hours. I was disappointed at the fact they didn't wave my parking for the inconvenience on their behalf. The space is clean and nicely decorated, only negative is there are little to no seats for people waiting, and for them to be backed up because they failed to notify clients certain staff were not available..huge logistical issue Tammy: TAMMY IS THE GOAT. She was nice, precise, professional and on point. She was very detailed and did all my designs free hand. Tammy saved this place of a 2 star rating! I plan to book with her in the near future and spread the word!! I paid $130 plus tip All in all, I plan to give this nail salon another chance, however If they continue to conduct themselves in a manner like before, I won't come back. Time is money and I want my time to be considered as a client if I'm spending my money here.

I got a gel x extension set and paid $77 for removal of my previous extensions, a new set, and cuticle removal which was extra. This combined is more affordable than the last salon I was going to so I had to share my experience! It was about 2 hrs and 15 minutes which to be honest was very long for me but i think the application and attention to detail was the trade off. I plan to come back for future fills and will update my review accordingly if my experience strays from this original one! Con: the removal method was a little rough. It was the method of essentially ripping/peeling off my old set when i feel like im used to soaking in acetone and filing off. Wanting to mention it in case anyone is sensitive to that and my nails were filed pretty thin. Colors: since it was my first time, I didn't have a chance to look at every single color option but i do recall they did offer some cat eye and chrome options for more. The upside for me too was that they offered colors with gold flakes (pictured) and there was no up charge.

Avoid this place at all costs…read more I had one of the worst pedicure experiences I've ever had here. I asked the nail technician if she could help remove an ingrown toenail. Instead of telling me if it wasn't something she could safely do, she kept digging deeper and deeper into my skin. It was extremely painful, and even after I told her it hurt, she didn't stop. She only stopped because I physically pulled my foot away. If she wasn't trained or comfortable handling an ingrown nail, she should have simply said so. I would have completely understood. To make matters worse, once she finished my pedicure, she walked away without saying a word and left me sitting in the chair. She went to help another customer put on her shoes--even though she wasn't even that customer's technician--while I had to twist around and search for my own shoes, which had been left behind my chair. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I brought my concerns to the owner, hoping she would take them seriously, but instead she immediately made excuses for the technician. She claimed the technician was probably waiting for my polish to dry... except I had gel polish, which doesn't need to air dry. There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. Customer service clearly isn't a priority here. Between the painful treatment, lack of professionalism, and the owner's unwillingness to address legitimate concerns, I won't be returning. There are plenty of nail salons that actually care about their customers. Save yourself the pain and go somewhere else.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!
