We held a dinner for my son Christopher and his fiancee Nisa's bridal party here, we are damn yankees and many of my son's guests had never experienced Southern BBQ. Amanda worked with my wife on a menu and we had a buffet line with all four meats, beans, rolls, salad, etc. The food was outstanding and the servers were very helpful and attentive. Everyone there had a great time and the general comment was this was the best BBQ they had ever had. We cannot thank Amanda and her staff enough for accommodating us on a busy night, setting up a small area for us and providing an excellent experience. I am very unhappy with your establishment in Manchester. My wife and I had dinner there last night. The waitress was very friendly but the problem is the kitchen. I ordered a turkey and ham club on Texas toast. the sandwich came out on very stale standard loaf bread, no cheese, no mayo just a very plain stale sandwich. I asked for mayo to put on it but the bread was so stale the crust was hard as a rock. I could not eat it. I asked to see the manager and she came out with the cook. I was very polite. I explained the problem and she asked if I wanted them to remake the sandwich. I said sure that would be nice. The remake sandwich took a little while and by this time we had to leave so I had them put it in a to-go box. I took it out for lunch today and this sandwich is NOTHING like the club on the menu. it had chopped turkey, cheese, cole slaw and thousand island dressing.....but that was not the worst part. It had a 2 ft long piece of human hair coiled up neatly on top of the meat under the bread. This could NOT have been by accident. I am glad I did not start eating this sandwich before looking. I will not set foot in your restaurant again. This is so disgusting. I am guessing it was probably spit on as well. read more

Decent BBQ joint in Manchester. My husband and I got 2 bbq plates which come with two sides. Without drinks and with tip, we got out around $35. Ribs - A Ranch Beans - A Brisket - C Sweet Potato Fries - C+ Green Beans - D Potato Salad - B- Ribs were great and a decent value. Brisket falls apart as though it has been in a crock pot but had good flavor. Sweet potato fries would be better but were soggy as they were placed on top of the brisket. The other sides were average. The service was okay although it took a little longer than it should for a bbq joint. All and all though, we would try it again for the ribs. read more

Stopped by on our way to Georgia for lunch. We had the buffet--never had that at a BBQ place. The smoked chicken was just outstanding. Disappointed no baked beans but the potato salad and carrots were on point. The cornbread could be sweeter for my taste, but enjoyed it just the same. The wife and I decided to have our Valentines Dinner at our local BBQ house. We were looking for a nice simple southern meal. When we arrived we were greeted, seated and drink orders were taken in great timing and we were feeling good about the service. Sadly after that it went all downhill and fast. We placed our food order of a pulled pork sandwich plate with fries for the wife and a brisket sandwich plate with salad and slaw for myself. After our server left to run our order we overheard another server offer her table a "Valentines Special". A special that our server failed to mention. We asked our server about it and she said she didn't think we would want it cause I ordered beer. That was honestly the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Actually we would have bought it had we known about it since it was our favorite steaks for a steal. So my salad comes and two minutes later our entree's come. So not wanting my main course to go cold I had to forget about my salad. First my brisket was 80% fat and absolutely no flavor. The slaw was dreadful. Then my wife said her pulled pork was dry and the fries tasted like fish. We were thoroughly disappointed! The. We let the manager know about the problems and she said she was sorry and walked off. I believe if you offer an item on your menu although your main offering is bbq, then you should expect it to be cooked correctly. I ordered a medium steak and what I got was a bleeding piece of meat that any good veterinarian could of had on its feet in 5 minutes. The singer that was providing music was Really Good unfortunately it was way too loud when your server has to lean over your table and yell to take your order. They did take the steak off the bill and I order a bbq sandwich with fries. Bbq was tasteless and looked like it had been sitting in hot water and the fries were so over seasoned I couldn't eat them. Prater's used to be one of our favorites but now we will not back! The past few times we have been the service has been some of the worst I have ever experienced! The food was mediocre at best, mine was not good at all. The bbq is greasy, the chicken tenders taste like they were made yesterday and the fries were awful. Our last experience was shockingly bad. Ribs are big and very good, but the real star was the wings! They are big and the smoke flavor was excellent, penetrating the entire wing. More smoke in the wings than the ribs. Our waitress checked on us once and we had to go get her to ask for the check and when she dropped the check off and left, we had to take it to her to pay out. Went to lunch at this location based on the experiences at the Morrison site. Somewhat disappointed. Had the lunch special ( Brunswick stew and grilled cheese). Best of the special was the grilled cheese. Brunswick stew was more like s soup- very watery. One person in our party took two spoons of the "stew" and pushed it aside. Also had BBQ nachos, these were good, for appetizer. Server was average. Solidly good, but not exceptional. "Ranch Beans" are chili flavored. 1.5 sauce options; one house bbq sauce, and a "hot" version which is pretty much straight hot sauce. Thanks to other Yelp reviewers we stopped and try this place. Had the pulled pork and ribs with baked beans and onion rings. Meat was great. Good flavor.
