With the range fee now up to $30, the appeal of Prado has diminished for me. The 50 yard lane for pistol-caliber rifle often hosts agency trainings, making it unavailable for normal shooters. The remaining amenities - 10-15 yard outdoor pistol lanes and a .22lr steel gallery - don't seem to justify the cost especially since 15 minutes away lies Raahauges. read more

It was a windy day and the targets blew over while I was shooting. There was only one other shooter at the pistol range. I told them if they could stand my target back up. The employee had been on his phone the whole time I was there. I was asked to wait ten minutes before they can change the targets. I was also told I should have known better because it was windy. I told them they should have weighed down the targets since they knew it was windy. The employee threw up his hands if I insulted his mother or something. I asked if could shoot at an unoccupied lane before the 10 minute wait. I was told no. Another employee came over to fix the targets and change them out. This is my second bad experience going to this range. Im never coming back again. Ill go to FT3 Tactical which is the best range I ever shot at with the nicest employees or Raahauge's which is down the street. read more

Great range, great customer service, excellent facilities for various types of training. I took a small group for their first outing shooting. The range was very well maintained and provided a great space to train new shooters on the proper safe handling of pistols. In the past, I've used this range for pistol qualifications for my military unit and we collectively enjoyed our time there. Went last Sunday (4/27/25) and had a great experience. Jake in the check-in office was super nice. Checking in only took a few minutes. The pistol range wasn't much to look at it but it did the job. At one point, there were only 4-5 people in our section so it wasn't crowded. So nice to shoot outside too and not breathe in all the fumes! :) Loved our afternoon there--will be back to shoot the Ruger 10/22 on the rifle range! read more

so today I went down to the range to sight in my 22 target rifle. Paid my 30 dollar fee and was told to go to the range master to get on the rang. so arive at his work area and told him I wanted to sight in my rifle. He wanted to put me on the kids 22 steel range with targets so large you can't possibly miss. I said no I want to sight in my rifle on the 50mtr range. He looked at me like I grew horns out of my head and said we only rent that range out too law enforcement. I said your website says I can shoot 22 rifles here. He looked at me like I was crazy or something. The range was empty and no Law enforcement On the range. he reluctantly put on the range. He put the target up and walked away. There were some benches to shoot from but no chairs to sit at the bench. He went back to the office and I went looking for a chair in a bunch of storage areas. I have to say this 50 mtr Olympic shooting range was the shittiest place I've ever been. And they brag on their website that the 84 Olympics were shot there and I was actually there during that time. They have invested absolutely no money into the range and it is derelict piece of shit.. read more

Couldn't say better things about this shooting center! From the employee in the office to the nice kept grounds was awesome, for trap you pay up front then get a token and can hangout and shoot when you desire. Prado used to be a good place to shoot now every time you go the rifle range is used or reserved by law enforcement the guy at the counter said the riffle range is reserved 7 days a week for law enforcement and they want to charge 30 dollars a day for adults to use the pistol range but no longer offer a shooter to use their riffles this is an un acceptable situation for what is supposed to be a public range and they no longer allow center fire rounds only rim fire read more

Love this place. Been going for months now. Only problem I have with the public range is there's no shade cover. everywhere else has shade but the public hand gun range. Is it because they don't want us there long? I'm able to take that heat for a good 30min. Starting to think it's a waste of time and money. This is for USPSA pistol match. Prado have a multitude of bays to host USPSA matches. I do like their surface; smooth, consistent with no rocks though dust might be of concern. We were here for Gunsta Cup match that was ran by Titan Ballistics. The match was a success and was very fun. Overall and good range for USPSA, IDPA, multi-gun matches. I would not hesitate to come back and visit for future matches. read more

Came here with my brother in law to take me shooting for my first time. We went trap shooting and to the range. I'm not sure how prices are compared to other places but seemed fair to me. $9 for 25 clay targets and $25 for all day range access for adults. We had our own ammo and guns but I believe they offer rentals. The trap area was big and spacious and the employee working there offered me advice as a newcomer and I had a blast! I picked it up way faster than I thought I would. Afterward we went to the range and fired off some 9mm and .22 rounds. The facilities all seemed very safe and staff was very and friendly. Update: The owner got back to me and he was very apologetic and I believe the situation was handled effectively on his end. But at the end of the day, I still felt the way I felt from the interaction. I give two stars instead of one because I really appreciate how the owner handled it. This place discriminates against women. I felt sexually harassed by the man at the desk because he asked me to cover up and put on a jacket in 85° weather. Why? Because I'm wearing a tank top. Obviously not even an inappropriate one. And I know it was personal because the women in the lane next to me were also wearing tank tops but only mine was inappropriate because I have large breasts. Fucking disgusting these guys should be fired. I was embarrassed and unfairly discriminated against just trying to enjoy my weekend. Also: the man in question who SEXUALLY HARASSED me tried to explain to my boyfriend (YES my boyfriend NOT me!) that it was for a safety reason. BULLSHIT. If it were a safety concern he would have pulled me aside and explained that to me privately and we wouldn't have an issue right now. But instead he loudly said "hey you need to cover up" in front of everyone. Showed up at 8am with 5 shooters. after about 20 minutes learned there was no staff. we were asked to move down one field as the staff was going to handle a 'club shoot.'. we had to use the voice operated since nobody could send the clays for our group due to staffing. We figured out how to pay and start but learned that one of the station's sound did not work at all. This, with the poorly working other stations left us with very frustrating rounds where timing was not consistent as we either yelled 'pull' for a no -working station or the slightest sound (like loading the round) sent the clay when the shooter was not ready. Two shooters could not finish a couple of clays due to the hypersensitive stations that sometimes sent the clays in-requested. when we noticed the two staff who were just standing on the next empty field doing nothing for our two rounds, I asked why they weren't able to assist with our rounds and were told one had to run a club shoot and the other had to 'manage' the other two fields alone...pretty much just us shooting. I pointed out the station where the sound didn't work at all and asked for assistance and the answer was he couldn't do anything...but left us to pay for the rounds and left the field in operation where the next customers would continue with the problem...probably lots of options but he chose none. may as well bring a box of clays and a thrower since we'll be on our own at this field. not what I remember from even just months back when they had their act together better. Hope for better IF they get another chance. read more

Easy check in. Range officers were out and about ensuring safety. Only gripe is the lack of partition on some areas. Only a table is available for your stuff, then you might have other groups on your sides with their own table. Might be an issue if someone is clearing a malfunction and does not keep the barrel pointed downrange. Gotta count on others maintaining muzzle discipline. I prefer partitions, would rather have an MDF board stop or slow down a 9 rather than possibly catch one to the dome. If you've been to an indoor range, you know the random holes. This is the best out door range. I love coming here. I am able to do some skeet shooting with my shotguns and then go to the handgun range and sharpen my skills there as well. Been shooting trap here for a while now.. For first time trap shooters, you'll want to check in at the office first. There you can get rent a gun, buy earplugs, buy ammo, and buy tokens for shooting. Then, the cashier will tell you which area to head to. I think generally the further away you are from the office, the crappier the shooters are lol (not sure if this is true, but I, as a bad shooter, try to hide at the very end). With your gun, walk toward your designated area. Make sure to keep your gun barrel pointed either up or hold the gun so that the barrel is parallel to the ground. Keep the action open at all times. Once you're set up at your specific booth, you'll probably want to practice aiming and holding the shotgun. You can do this in the individual lanes in between each game. Do not bring ammo unless are shooting actual clays. If there is an orange cone, do not practice there. The orange cone means someone is inside the house(?) (I don't know what it's called, the place where the clays come out of). When you're ready, you can hand your token to a range staff member (if weekend) or put it in the machine (if weekday). In both cases, only load the gun when it is your turn, and when it is your turn, you will need to yell 'PULL' somewhat loudly. If it is the weekday, there's a microphone you yell into, and a machine will shoot out a clay. On weekends, the range employees will be there to manually trigger the clays. When you see the clay, point and shoot. I strongly recommend coming on the weekends. The microphones being used on the weekdays suck HARD. Sometimes you will yell 'pull' at the top of your lungs, and nothing will happen. Other times, the simple sound of loading your shell will trigger the machine. In addition, if it's your first time, you're going to need experienced shooters around to help you. To that point, honestly, everyone here is super nice, and if it's your first time, and you're sucking hard, the range staff and other shooters come to your aid pretty quickly (assuming you're there on a weekend). FYI - if you screw around, you will get yelled at. People are very skiddish at the range for good reason. I've been yelled at many times.. Also, very important - ALWAYS tip the range staff if they're manually pulling clays for you. read more
