At first, I thought it was decent because my first bite was mostly sauce and rice, but once I tried the duck, it fell short. The skin was more slimy than flavorful, and the meat itself had a noticeable funk to it that made it seem lower quality. Luckily, the pumpkin curry saved the meal. I really enjoyed the flavor, and it was easily the better dish (still would rate it a 3/5 though). If you're like me, I'd skip the lunch special and just order the curry as a regular plate since I did not care much for the side salad or vegetarian spring roll. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back since there are so many Thai restaurants to try in Berkeley, but Little Plearn is definitely a convenient option near campus, especially for students looking for a quick lunch.

The sweet roti comes with ice cream and their roti is covered with condensed milk. It's actually the perfect way to end the meal with something sweet after all the savory or salty dishes. We also got their grilled beef short ribs, drunken muscles and the O' Breakfast Grilled Pork. The pork and grilled short ribs were both so good we all almost didn't want to share with each other. The food itself tasted good overall, although I was disappointed to find several large pieces of cartilage in the duck. The much bigger issue was that neither meal included rice. The menu photo showed rice, and nowhere in the ordering process was it stated that rice was not included. There was no indication that rice needed to be ordered separately, nor was there an option to add it. Based on the menu presentation, a reasonable customer would expect rice to be included with a curry dish. As a result, we had to cook rice ourselves after the food arrived. When I contacted Uber Eats for a partial refund regarding the missing side dish, the complaint was completely dismissed. One customer service representative even ended the chat without resolving the issue. The entire experience felt careless, dismissive, and disrespectful toward paying customers. Good food cannot make up for misleading menu information and poor customer service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be ordering from Racha Cafe again.
