Unfortunately I feel like a was a complete victim of a sale scam here. After my car died I thought (as a college student) a scooter would be a great idea to get me around while I save up to buy a car! I knew very little about scooters so I opted to go to a store rather than KSL because I thought I would be less likely to be scammed by a legit business. When we first walked in the store everything seemed great. Russ was helpful and even eased my minds of some concerns. I chose what seemed to be the perfect scooter for what I was looking for. He didn't let me test drive the used scooter saying it was an insurance problem and they wouldn't let anyone test drive it. Understandable. Then I asked if he had some type of warranty. He said he doesn't do a formal warranty but that he's "an honest guy" and would help out if anything was wrong. I fell victim. I trusted what he was saying. Rookie mistake. The scooter has never worked, cuts out while you are stopped, never starts up without a jump. We took it back to him to look it over, he said he fixed something but nothing changed. In a last ditch effort we bought a new battery ourselves and installed it but that didn't do the trick either. We returned yet again, he claimed he fixed something else and charged $30. We paid the $30. Brought it home. Nothing changed. Yet again took it back and a week later was told there's nothing wrong. He never listened to any of the problems I was telling him and six months later I still don't have a working scooter. If you're in the market for a scooter, do your research so you don't get scammed like I did. $1000 down the drain. read more

I had some issues with a scooter I bought on KSL. Other scooter shops didn't want to work on it and turned me away. I took it into Russ and they worked on it and quickly solved the issue. They were great to work with and when my scooter was running a bit sluggish the next day, they took it in and fixed it and didn't charge a thing. They called to keep me up to date and didn't perform any work without notifying me. I am for sure going to use them again. HIGHLY recommend! read more

When I went to pick up my scooter I found that their were things broken on it that worked when I brought it in. The starter button, the brake light and the mp3 player were now broken when they had previously worked. Also the brand new battery that I had installed a week before bringing the scooter in to the shop was now dead. Our scooter was lightly used and only had 23 miles on it. The mechanic apologized and said they would fix the things they broke tomorrow and gave me a specific time to bring it in. I brought it in and they turned me away telling me they didn't have time to fix it and that if I came in on monday they would fix it right away. I came in on monday and talked to the owner. He denied that they had broken anything and said that it was an impossibility. I told him the mechanic said it was possible. He said, "I don't care what the mechanic said." He eventually consented to looking at the bike but gave me no promises as to when the bike would be done and told me I might be waiting all day. I didn't have a ride home and so I sat in the hot sun for three hours waiting and watching my scooter sit in the parking lot not being worked on. Finally they started working on it. They fixed the brake light the starter button and the mp3 player but refused to replace the battery even though it was brand new before they got a hold of it. I rode home and as it started to get dark I realized that the headlights and the horn which had worked before I brought my scooter to their shop were no longer working. At this point I had spent so much money and waited for over two and a half months to have my bike fixed that I didn't want to bring the bike back and have them fix the other things they broke. I just didn't want to see any of them again and have to be belittled and told that I was wrong about how my bike worked before I brought it in to their store. I am still without a working scooter and will have to buy another brand new battery and find someone to fix the headlight and horn. I have never been treated like this at a repair shop before. I will never go back. I have read other experiences online where people have been treated much the same way as I have. Do yourself a favor. Learn from me and don't deal with them. read more

I had them work on my scooter and motorcycle. I dropped off both keys on a Monday early afternoon. I left he motorcycle with them and the scooter needed to be picked up. They said they would pick it up immediately and would start diagnosis on the motorcycle that day. I had to call back on Wednesday when the scooter still wasn't picked up and I hadn't heard anything about the motorcycle. They hadn't touched the motorcycle and said they would pick the scooter up within the hour. It was later that evening (7pm) that I had the call back saying they had picked it up and worked on tons of things I didn't ask them to touch (and didn't want touched) and performed work I didn't authorize. They wanted to perform testing unrelated to the repair. After I went the next day (because they rarely answer their phone) to ask why they hadn't fully tested the battery they replaced on the scooter, the owner, "Russ", became very defensive and agitated, then without saying another word, took the work order for my motorcycle (that in 4 days still hadn't been touched), put it in the shredder and handed me the key! He didn't even care to try to resolve the issue or try to get return business. His first instinct was to yell, verbally assault, and try to bully me into accepting his sorry excuse for work. He said every shop in town did work without people authorizing it, while acknowledging there are other shops that operate normally (every shop I know of and have worked with calls for authorization before doing work, and especially work you don't ask for originally). While I was standing at the desk, they did the exact same thing to another customer who had a bad battery. They installed the part without the authorization of the customer. They seem very accustomed to this type of work. To top it off, when I took the old battery to Autozone to have it tested, it was fine, so they charged me for a battery I didn't need because they didn't properly test the scooter (which I was charged for). On the ride home, the throttle was "improved" (unresponsive), and the right mirror was loose and flapping in the wind. Scooter Super Store, you Super Suck. Good luck staying in business with that service and your Chinese scooters that die within 3 months. read more

Ok, here goes! I have tried to be a loyal customer and support this local business but after my latest dealings with Russ at Powersport Superstore, it is time to move on. I have dealt with Russ for the past three years and now the new guy Nate, and the service, honesty and integrity has gone from really bad to down right horrible. I have taken my scooter in to Russ for general maintenance, warranty work, annual services, adjustments, etc. and I have NEVER gotten my scooter back when promised and for the price I was originally quoted...not once in three years. My latest experience was for an oil change service and to replace the bulb in the headlight as the high beam bulb had burned out. I was quoted $29.95 for the oil change and $12.95 for the headlight an "a couple bucks to put it in". Now where I come from a couple of bucks is $2.00. Nate also said they would perform a No Charge pre inspection to make sure everything was working and safe as I was having my scooter inspected for registration. He remembered to do this as I was getting ready to ride away and quickly checked the bulbs and horn which I had already done before taking it to them so I didn't have any "unexpected" bulb charges. When I picked up the scooter the invoice was way more than I was told it would be. The oil change was $29.95 (what they quoted) the light bulb was $12.95 (what they quoted) but the installation of the bulb was $17.95 (not what they quoted) I think $17.95 to install a bulb after quoting "a couple of bucks" to be downright disgusting! Nate said "a couple of bucks" is just jargon in the mechanics industry meaning "not a lot" but not really meaning $2.00 I stopped by Powersport Superstore to talk to Russ about being overcharged. He listened and then went and got Nate and had me talk to him while he hid behind his desk while I talked to Nate. After getting nowhere with Nate or Russ (the owner) I just said the $20.00 you are stealing from me isn't that big of a deal, but their integrity and honesty is what matters most because they are a company whose word is NEVER their bond. BOTTOM LINE: If you HAVE to take your scooter to Powersport Superstore: 1. Get EVERYTHING in writing! 2. Allow 2-3 days longer than they promise you! 3. Don't let them fix ANYTHING that you have not agreed to or have a quote on! 4. Pay with a CREDIT CARD so you can dispute the charge! 5. Try to find SOMEWHERE else...They are NOT honest and are lacking integrity! read more

My friend just had his new/used scooter in for a tune up. They charged $99 for about $29 worth of work!!! Tried to up sell on everything. Put a "Hi Performance" air cleaner right in front of the rear tire so all the dirt and water would feed right into it. Do these guys even know how motors work? Didn't even fix the brake cable, and had to go back twice because they said it would be ready each time and was not. These guys specialize in the $99 take you to the cleaners if you don't know anything about scooters. Felt bad when I had to explain all this to my unknowing friend. BEWARE. read more
